Zero stars if I could. On Saturday, we brought a federal government fleet vehicle to this Jiffy Lube location on York Road for a routine oil change. The service receipt listed Kai and Darryl B as the technicians. Monday morning, while turning onto FDA Boulevard en route to Silver Spring ( nearly an hour away), the vehicle experienced a critical failure. Multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously, and the engine began to smoke. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be completely out of oil. This created an immediate safety hazard and left us stranded roadside. We were forced to coordinate alternate transportation via another fleet vehicle to reach our destination, and ultimately had to obtain a loaner vehicle due to the condition of the van. This incident reflects a serious failure in basic service execution and raises significant concerns regarding whether the oil change was properly completed at all. The level of negligence involved placed occupants at risk and could have resulted in severe engine damage. This experience demonstrates a complete lack of quality control and regard for customer safety. I strongly caution others against trusting this location with their vehicle. This matter is being documented and may be escalated further due to the potential liability and safety implications involved. read more

Really can't complain about a business that does exactly what I am asking them to do without trying to sell me more. This is what I get when I bring my vehicles to Jiffy Lube for oil changes. Jiffy Lube doesn't require an appointment. A lot of the time I base my visits on driving by and seeing there isn't a line. Usually I am in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jiffy Lube changes my oil, lets me know what else they may have noticed during the change but don't really try to sell me things I wasn't planning on when I came in. This is a far cry from other quick oil change places I've visited in the past. Price wise, Jiffy Lube seems comparable to other businesses in the area that specialize in fast oil changes. I will continue to visit this place for my oil change needs until they give me a reason not to. read more

I usually go to the dealership for oil changes, but I was in a pinch today. I'm often skeptical of auto shops because they can seem shady. However, today's experience at Jiffy Lube changed my perspective. When I arrived, I was greeted respectfully by Jayden. I told him what I needed, and he directed me to where I should park my car. Then, Delmonte showed me to the waiting area. After a few minutes, Delmonte called me over to ask what type of oil I wanted and explained my options. Fifteen minutes later, Jason was cashing me out. Less than $70 for an oil change is reasonable. They were all so friendly, and to my surprise, they even did a quick vacuum of my car. I was nervous because I've had bad experiences with auto shops in the past, but today, my faith was restored. The men who work at and run this Jiffy Lube are kind, considerate, and consistent. They don't try to sell me more than I need but also really take care of my car. They let me know when things need to be done and why and help me make good decisions about the care of my car. They also let me know when they see something that I need to take to the other mechanics, like leaking coolant. Really grateful for their care and kindness. I literally pulled into this location having an emergency with 20-30 minutes left of them being open! I did not request any fixing, but simply asked if somebody could see if the piece hanging off my car was safe to drive. No sooner did I open my car door, a worker was at my door to tell me "we're done" and wouldn't even let me ask if somebody would look at my car. Absolutely rude and not helpful. read more

These guys are efficient and fast. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes during my lunch break around 11:30am on a weekday. I had a coupon for a brake check, got my oil changed and my air filter changed. One of the technicians came in and physically showed me how dirty my air filter was, asking me if I did want it changed. All in all it was less than $60. It really feels like a well oiled conveyer belt (no pun intended). I was thanked for my patience but I had to joke that I didn't need to have any. I will be going back. read more

You will find other reviewers that came to this location to get their oil changed only to find the oil empty... I wish I had looked harder at the reviews before I subjected my car to this awful place. I paid hundreds of dollars to get my brakes and rotors replaced and they are still making an atrocious grinding and squealing sound. I am convinced that they took my money and did not do the job. They are SUPER "polite" but it is all FAKE!!! Please be AWARE. I came in and asked how much the job would be and they told me over $400... when my partner came in hours later, they dropped the price by over $100... he asked for the exact same thing to be done... they are thieves!!! RUN! FIND A REAL SHOP!!!! UPDATE as of 5/31/19: I have had my car checked my three other shops now. They have all told me that my rotors were indeed, not changed. My previous statements about them stealing from me remain. Please be careful at this shop with your cars. I stopped in a few weeks ago looking to have 4 new spark plugs put into my 2015 Kia Soul. I have watched various videos online how to do it and it looks fairly straight forward but figured I would just let someone else deal with it. Was told to wait a few minutes while they came up with an estimate. They came back with $249.99. I said "$250, for 4 spark plugs?? why?" Parts and labor, over an hour and cleaning. I said "cleaning of what?", the guy said "Things that might need to be cleaned". I said I know for a fact it doesn't take an hour and that price was absolutely outrageous. He said, "I know". On my way back home I stopped at AutoZone, got 4 spark plugs for $33, stopped at a local garage where the guy said, we will put them in for $50, about 15 or so minutes. So $83 vs $250. Never again will I ever go to a Jiffy Lube. read more

I came here cause of my TPMS light was on, they helped me to put air pressure on my tires and helped me to look for which tire was deflated. The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional, and the work was done quickly - my car was done within about 45 of arriving. But most refreshingly, they didn't try to pressure me into getting service I didn't need, which has happened at other JL locations. Will definitely be taking my car there from now on. read more

Who knew getting an oil change could be fun?! I only go to Jiffy Lube to get my oil changed and this one is by far the best I've been to. They check the air in your tires, they even vacuum your car! There was coffee in the waiting room even though it only took about 10 mins. The people working there are super nice and they always give me a discount on extras (air filters, etc.) It must be new because for a place that does oil changes it was the nicest car place I've ever been! Was a good place to get a quick oil change the first few times I went, but this last experience made me rethink that. Someone made a number of small mistakes which: 1. Cost me a windshield wiper because they failed to put it back on correctly after they did their "complimentary check" and it went flying off my car on a rainy night. 2. The door to my gas tank was stuck closed because someone didn't close it correctly. 3. One of my tire caps was missing and even though they claimed to have filled all my tires to 32PSI... they lied. So, can't say that I will be going back to this place any time soon. read more

Well. My my ma has been telling me not to go to Jiffy Lube since... forever. Well holy hell, mama was wrong!!!! I drove out of here flying high. Like seriously, I was put in a way better mood just by how good the service was. Someone came up to me as soon as I pulled in, immediately walked me into the waiting room and offered me water and coffee. Car took about 15 minutes even though it was mad busy and the two other employees I talked to in the meantime were equally as nice and accommodating. Got an oil change, tires pumped up, windshield wiper fluid and some various other things for like 35 bucks... OH and they vacuumed out the whole car (which it sorely needed). DANGER: I've been coming to this Jiffy Lube location for over 2 years but my last visit here was horrible. Not only was it horrible but I didn't realize I had been put in danger. They removed the lug nuts from my tires. I wasn't aware they had only returned 2 of 5 back on my front passenger tire. Shortly thereafter my tire pressure light came on. I would stop eventually but before doing so, the guy next to me was shouting something to me. He told me I only had 2 lug nuts on my tire. Wtf!!!! I refused to return to JL and had the nuts replaced elsewhere. On top of that, they screwed up the mileage on my car indicating I had 159,000 miles instead of 59,000. When I saw the mistake, they corrected the sticker but failed to correct the system. As a result, my maintenance schedule was way off. Do I need to report this to the BBB? As convenient as this location is to me, I will never spend my money here again. I pretty good at checking reviews but didn't bother because I had been coming here for years. Well - it's Jiffy Lube. But it is a nice one. The staff is always friendly - and they always try to vacuum out our cars even with all of the car seats and kid mess. I have never had to wait long at this location, but i do try to go at off-peak times. They will go over EVERY option available for service - but you have to be your own advocate in these situations and know what you need them to do. For a quick oil change ( I no longer have any desire to change my own oil) I think it is a great option. read more

The past couple of times I came here, the service was fine...but I wanted to update my review, because of two incidents that happened. Although they were minor, they happened at the same location with the same staff member (30 something African-American man). While going over my receipt, he proceeded to ask me about my race (playing the all-too-familiar "where are you really from" game), and overall, making me feel uncomfortable. I know he did this of ignorance, but it is still unacceptable. If this happened on the street, it would be considered street harassment. The first time it happened, I brushed it off as a fluke. After the second time, I knew it wasn't. Everyone else though was very nice. I don't want to worry about harassment though when I'm paying for a service. I am going to give them another shot, and hopefully it won't happen again. If it does, I most likely will not be returning. read more

What an absolutely terrible experience. After being waved forward by one technician to, what I assumed was to enter the bay, another technician started waving his hands for me to stop. I did and tech 2 started shaking his head at me and acting visibly annoyed. I stated that he can keep shaking his head at me, but I thought I was doing what tech 1 asked. Tech 1 then proceeded to give me more grief and started to escalate this situation. Very unprofessional for a service provider. I had a wonderful experience at this jiffy lube! The employees are all SO friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They were able to fix issues that even my Lexus dealership couldn't figure out and they are very efficient and quick.
