I went in for a simple oil change about 45 minutes ago. I decided to download yelp to grumble. I look out at the service areas and I don't see a sense of urgency. Who's leading this team? These technicians look like good dudes. Yet, I haven't seen any smiles, sounds like they are reading from a script NPC type of behavior. I've worked in the automotive industry, particularly, @ Les Schwab South Salt Lake location. We would be running circles around these guys and we would have 5-6 bays full and a truck slab with semi's to maintenance until quitting time. I think this location needs new leadership. read more

I'm writing this response because I keep getting emails from this company and I need to share that I will NEVER come to you for service EVER again. The last time I got an oil change with you (July 2023 as a matter of fact), not even 3k miles later, my engine suddenly was empty and had no oil in it and my engine was completely kaputt. I saw no signs that I was leaking oil (there were no oil spots in my garage or in my parking spot at my job), so since I didn't have $10,000 for a new engine (yeah there was absolutely no way anybody could repair my seized engine), I had to get a new lease when I was a mere few thousand dollars away from owning my Santa Fe that you ultimately destroyed. Since the money and effort it would take to drag you to court and seek restitution wasn't available to me, and your side would make the case that my engine didn't die due to your complete negligence and failure to properly serve my vehicle, and I somehow would lose the case, I've never put forth the effort to take action against you. But I will always know and forever blame you, that it was your fault that my vehicle wasn't properly serviced (especially since doing car maintenance personally isn't a skill that I have, but maintaining a regular service schedule is my responsibility and I do adhere to it with fidelity) and you destroyed my main mode of transportation. I've always used reputable businesses that are supposed to be trustworthy, in order to ensure the best care for me and my property, but you will NEVER be considered worthy of such status [reputable and trustworthy]. I will NEVER be a customer of yours again, and I'll make sure I broadcast this story as far and wide as it can go (wish I could have given you zero stars, because you're not even worth one star IMO). read more

I needed to get an emissions done for my new car. first time I was told it would be an hour and arrive 40 minutes before closing. No big deal, was told to come back Sunday to get one done. showed up and no emissions tech was available. showed up today and the emissions tech left earlier. so frustrated that I was promised " we'll take care of you just come in tomorrow and you'll be covered" horrible customer service and unreliable emissions service. read more

I needed an oil change and had an hour in the area so I called and asked what they charge. I was quoted $46 and told of a coupon on their website. Walmart across the street have oil changes starting at $25 so the $31 with the coupon sounded like a good deal. I was excited. The young kid who began helping me entered all my info and quoted me $67. I asked why it was so much and he said, "at the first of the year the price went up." I told him I'd called and was quoted $46 when another employee, older guy, cut off the kid and started to mansplain to me that prices change then started to offer to "help me out". I just shook my head and walked out. I don't want your help. I want an honest, up front experience. You charge $67, fine, quote $67 on the phone as well as in person. I'm a 46 year old mother of 8. I don't need you to condescend to me or patronize me, which is exactly how I was treated. Everything about this experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I left car for oil change .they called and did the upswell to better oil for $60 more I said no. I called my mechanic and he said to use better oil. I tried calling them back but none of the phone numbers on internet or the number they called me on would connect with the real person. Quit the upselling so we really know what we need!!! read more

We have a vehicle that requires a tail pipe sniffer test. We have in the past always gone to Jiffy Lube to have this done. When my husband showed up and pulled in the bay they realized this and we were told by a manager with a thicker accent, afro hair with a straight line across the forhead (is the best way I could describe it) they couldn't do it because they didn't have something to do the test. We knew they had the tool because my husband has come here before. We called a couple other places and they didn't have the tool at all. So we proceeded to call the DMV to figure out what we were suppose to do or if they knew where we could go and was referred to the Utah Divison of Air Quality. The guy we spoke with was the auditor for this specific location, we didn't know this initially and he was not happy that we were turned away and said he would be calling the location to find out what was going on. There was never any intention to get the store in trouble we were trying to find a place to get the emissions test done. Not even an hour after we ended the phone call with him we got a phone call from an unknown number to us with the same accent as the manager cussing my husband out calling him a "fucking bitch" my husband had some choice words because who calls someone and starts cussing them out unless they just got someone in trouble while it was never our intention. My husband blocked the number and a few minutes later a call comes through a blocked number and again cussing my husband out, I am posting a review and I will be filing a complaint with the BBB if this situation isn't resolved fully. Your employee accessed our contact information to harass my husband because the location isn't doing what they are suppose to be, while it was never our intention to get the business in trouble the behavior from your employee is out of line. read more

Herriman location on 5600 West. Went in for an oil change. They checked the brake shoes and suggested replacing the rears. Turns out they also "had to" replace the rear calipers. Unfortunately it was closing time when they finished up I instantly realized on the drive home that the brakes were not right - my brake system has not been the same since. They caused issues and will take no responsibility whatsoever and offer no solutions. I would recommend staying away. read more

Two weeks ago I had my oil changed, got my car reregistered, and did an emissions test. The employees were friendly enough and seemed professional. Yesterday, my engine seized up on the freeway after my check engine light suddenly came on. Luckily, I could coast off the exit. I looked under the hood to see what the problem was. The oil dipstick handle was broken off and upon further inspection, the oil pan was full of oil and there didn't appear to be much in the engine. I can't say that the oil change caused the problem, but I've never had car trouble in this vehicle before. The engine is not reparable and I'll need to purchase a new car. Buyer beware! read more

I can't begin to express how angry I am. I will drive past this place from now on. Two stories. 1st story, my wife goes to have the inspection done. She is told we need new brakes. She explains that we just had that done. They say, "Okay, never mind". So they just wanted to see if they could stab her for extra $$$. More than dishonest and taking advantage of a woman. 2nd story, today, veterans day. I go in to have my oil done. I am next in line at the garage door. I wait for about 10 minutes and another couple come in the waiting room. Soon after that, the female of the couple goes out to talk to the tech about the services being done. I don't think anything about it until I look to see that her car is in my bay and mine is still waiting. When I finally get to talk to a tech about my oil change and ask why the other car got in front of me, I am told that the couple had two cars on the same ticket so she got ahead of me. I was there over an hour when I started out as the next car in line. The only reason I went there was because the line was short, and I got screwed anyway. Never again. Thanks for making me feel so special on veterans day. read more

I brought my company truck in for an oil change today. I just moved here from tucson and it is like night and day with the service. They're all super friendly and helpful. Thank you Parker and Easton, for all your help and knowledge. My work truck has an engine that requires special oil and they let me know right up front that they may not have it in stock, (they did), why it's so different, and explained everything in detail, all while the truck was being serviced, so it didn't take any extra time. I will have my team bring the trucks and vans here from now on. They came in 30-50% less then completion, that I used to take it to. That's even with the extra air filter cost. So just a update on how unhelpful jiffy lub has been. Contacted Travis the regional manager and he gave me a 2 hour window to bring my car in to have him look at it for a 3rd time. I've been out a car for a month because I came here to get my oil changed and they over torqued it and stripped my oil drain bolt.. I've had it looked at by the same shop 2 times since. And 1 time through a different location with actual knowledgeable employees. I've found a fix for 250$ with no help from jiffy lube. I hate how these people take advantage of people that have kids and jobs and rely on their vehicle for transportation. I strongly dislike this location and never will let them touch another vehicle of mine. They said they'd fix it 3 times and the 2 times I let them try to fix it it made the problem worse.. do not come here for any mechanical work. read more

We went in today at 6:00 pm to get a simple rock chip repaired on our windshield. Sounds simple enough, right? Well turns out the group of six or more 18-22 year olds screwed around most of the time, especially when no customers were in sight (we could see what they were doing through the waiting room window). When you have a group of 5 employees gathered around laughing and having a jolly-good time for 15 + minutes, I am pretty sure not a whole lot is getting done. The lady that had been waiting there ahead of us had her van parked out front for a good 10 minutes before she was fed up enough and went out to say, "So how's my van doing?" The group that was dinking around all looked at each other with stupid looks on their faces not sure of what was going on or who was in charge of finishing up her order. Awkwardly one went over to completed her order. Soon after they called us out, the partially decided they needed to be semi-professional and finished our order. I highly highly recommend to not get your car serviced here. Only unless you want a group of young ding-dongs working on your car that take an excessive amount of time joking around. read more

I went in asking for them just to do a simple emissions test. instead they decided to take out my air filters which is not needed for a emissions test. I told them that I do not need the filters replaced and would do it at the dealer. They also told me that my coolant was low which I didn't ask for them to check. I am now driving in my car and the HVAC system in the car is so loud I cannot use it. I would never had ever taken my 2 year old car to jiffy lube if I would have thought for even a minute that they would take apart my car to see what else they could nickel and dime me for. I believe that there may even be other hidden damages from just a simple emission test. I would not recommend anyone take their car to any jiffy lube? read more

We've gone here several times since we moved to Herriman and they have always done a good job. I've had my emissions done twice without any issues. The staff are friendly, and quick. We went in this morning and they changed the oil in two of our cars and did the emissions in about 25 minutes. It was neat to watch them work. They are definitely like a well oiled machine. Haha! I'd recommend this particular Jiffy Lube and its staff to anyone. read more

The sign outside says they're open from 9-5 on a Sunday. I got there at 3:15 and they were closed. And the signs on the bay doors said open.

Came to put air on one tire and they told me it would be an hour wait just to put air in one single tire. Pff incredible

i had a standard brake job done on my 2016 toyota tundra. i drove it for a week and felt that there was something wrong. i took it back to jiffy lube and had them take a second look at the brakes. they power bled the brakes and nothing improved. they then pulled the front passenger side wheel off. the wheel hub was loose (80k miles on truck). had this not been discovered, down the road, my wheel could have come off and led to disasterous results. it was repaired within a couple of hours. james and the crew were awesome and i am still alive thanks to them. no complaints. read more

i went in to get my belt replaced because the employees stated that it was in really bad condition when i got an oil check on sunday. today is thursday and i just had the belt replaced at 2:45 today. i drove it all the way to draper to hang with a friend and on my way back my engine ceased in a busy intersection. now i'm stuck in draper and had to call a towing service. i should have read your reviews before having my car serviced at your store that has terrible service records. from what ive seen it's very suspicious that this happened. i'd assume the employee rigged my vehicle to make me come in for another service. i will come back if i'm guaranteed a fix to this mistake. and if ill be charged for this i will take my car elsewhere. read more

A couple of year ago JL put a new cabin "air filter" in our 2013 Ford Focus. I found out today that the filter JL installed was not the correct one. It was TOO big. I have seen reports about JL cutting corners for profit. This is the end. I will NOT go back to JL for anymore service. I have been a customers for years, and I wonder where else they have cut corners on servicing our car. I cannot trust them again. read more

Slow. Have now not tightened my oil filter on twice and had a large oil leak. When I took it back to get checked, they told me it was in the oil pan. I took it elsewhere and they told me they just had to tighten the oil filter. If it aren't for my company fleet service that u need to use, i would not come back. read more

Slow service, and when I brought my car home it leaked oil all over the floor of the garage. They either didn't tighten something down or they spilled oil on the skid plates. Either way I'm upset that I have to bring it back the next day. read more

If you need oil change only, they do a fine job. DO NOT get your car inspected here! I have several vehicles all in great shape and on several occasions they FAIL the inspection at this station. This has happened to me 3 times over the years --we have several drivers and a small fleet of high quality family vehicles (Lexus, Toyota--all new-ish, very safe and very well maintained). Each of these rejections were extremely picky and when I take the same car to another shop, the car passes inspection. Only problem is, they go to report the success and Jiffy Lube has already reported the failure, so the other shop has no recourse to change it. I had to make unwanted modifications to my car due to this policy--absolutely nothing to do with safety or proper function of the car. I had NO idea this was coming--completely shocked. What you think is a quick inspection and you will be on your way, ends up taking all day and part of the next. Even the visit to Jiffy Lube took a long time that day--but that was just the beginning. The manager admitted they are strict and explained they are harsh because they have been fined in the past for missing important safety problems. He says he cannot give the vehicle owner a "heads up" that the car might fail inspection. SO, I would AVOID this station for registration inspections. To happen once it might be a fluke, twice I should have known better to go there --three times on top quality cars is a problem with the shop. I cannot change them, but I will avoid giving my business in the future. When I explained my dilemma to the DMV representative (because my initial registration of the vehicle was a day late), he said it is extremely rare that this issue flagged for rejection. He told me "it depends on the shop, most would not find fault with the car for that reason." I sure hope corporate Jiffy Lube takes into account the opinions and inconveniences of their loyal customers and realizes that company policy should not be to aggressively reject vehicles at any cost--Rigid policies are typically not very good ones. read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. Everything went okay with the service, but when we left, the drivers side window stopped working all of the sudden. The treat all the Cara they work with like crap and they always slam the door way too hard. We went back and told them the window was broken and they didn't offer any sort of way to get it fixed or help in any way. Now we are left with a broken window that won't roll up all the way and we have to take the time to fix it ourselves. We will not be returning and I would never encourage anyone to go there. I have never had good experiences with Jiffy Lube, but this is a new low. read more

If I could give this place a negative star I'd give it 30 of them. You hear about Jiffy Lube horror stories but my wife took our car to get looked at because I had a busy day at work. She told them where she thought the problem was (loud grinding noise coming from the front passenger tire area) and thought it might be breaks. They took a look at it and said that it wasn't the breaks but that it was a wheel cylinder. My wife asked them if that's what was making the sound and they said yes. So they ordered the part and she brought the car back when the part arrived to get it fixed. I met her at the shop later and After 2-3 hours we watched them take the car for a test drive. After the test drive they came and told us that the car was good to go and charged us $274.85 a price I didn't mind if it fixed the actual problem. But just pulling away from the bay that loud grinding sound was still there!! So we went back in to talk to them and told them that nothing was fixed. They put the car back on the lift and then all of a sudden they find the problem right away! It was a cracked wheel bearing. The man said it's going to cost another $388 at a discounted price for this repair and that he's sorry he missed it the first time and that he didn't hear anything when they test drove it because it probably only happens at accelerated speeds. (you can hear it as soon as it starts rolling) But that if we don't want to do it it's ok because it's not a safety issue! "It's perfectly safe to drive". Was his words. So to Team Lead/ Repair tech: David T and D Teeples who supposedly did the quality inspection I hope you don't stay in this field long because you or any of the 7 other kids standing around clearly aren't qualified for this. read more

I never leave reviews for car-type services, but these guys blew me away this morning. I had to get my emission & inspections done this morning, and I hate anything related to car maintenance. They made the process pretty much painless. All the mechanics there were super friendly. I arrived at 745 (my bad, because they didn't open until 8), and was done by around 820. Striped my lug nut while rotating tires. Sent me to Riverton to fix it after the run around. Had previous issue with them not tightening lug nuts on rotation. Very dangerous situation but I noticed the wobble in time to fix it. I would not trust them for anything other than oil change at this point and service recovery is not good. read more

They replaced my cabin air filters with the wrong size. They basically stuffed whatever they had in stock in my car so they could upsell me. I only found out a year later when another location showed me what they had done. Living in California it's not like I can just drive back down. When I finally did today the kid working here basically told me tough shit it's been to long..... Awesome customer service, they basically ripped me off then told me too bad!
