The truck has been well maintained and has received full-synthetic oil changes approximately every 5,000 miles. The upselling started when an employee brought out two separate oil-system/engine-cleaning additives. I was told that my engine had mild sludge buildup, with the supposed evidence being some oil residue on the underside of the oil-fill cap. I found that recommendation questionable on a well-maintained modern engine with only 30,000 miles. More importantly, Ford specifically states in the owner's manual that supplemental engine-oil additives are unnecessary and may lead to engine damage that is not covered by warranty. I declined both products. The technician then returned with my cabin air filter, which I had replaced at my previous oil change, and my K&N engine air filter. He told me both were dirty and recommended replacing them. The K&N recommendation was particularly concerning because it is a washable and reusable air filter. I initially thought he might have misspoken, so I specifically asked whether he was recommending that I replace the K&N filter. He said yes. I told him I would clean and service it myself when necessary and declined both replacements. The final issue came after I paid and returned to my truck. The service sticker they placed in the windshield listed my next service at only 3,000 additional miles, despite having just performed a full-synthetic oil change. Ford equips this truck with an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor that determines oil-change intervals based on actual operating conditions. Even the conservative 5,000-mile interval I have voluntarily been following is substantially longer than the 3,000-mile interval on their sticker. Following their recommendation instead would result in approximately 67% more oil changes over the same mileage, wasting both time and money. Any one of these things by itself might be reasonable . Taken together they left me with the impression that this location's service process is driven more by maximizing sales than by the actual maintenance requirements of the vehicle.

My mechanic was skilled and quick, it only took him just a few minutes to change everything out and I was set to go. Price was fair and I'm happy with the service and the techs they sent who were courteous and friendly. I've added them as a contact for future repairs, so I'm recommending them here for anyone else that needs auto servicing.

This will be long because these guys deserve a proper review. We were in town from Las Vegas and…read morewere staying in Provo. All the eletrical in our car went out we assumed we needed a battery which is something we change out every few years because Vegas summers are brutal. We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. Thank you for the best auto repair service we have hands down ever had!

My Experience at Jiffy Lube -- Please Read Before You Go I…read morewent to Jiffy Lube at 3332 W South Jordan Pkwy in South Jordan on Saturday, 9/12/26, at approximately 1:00 p.m. to have my emissions test and license plate sticker taken care of. While I was there, after speaking with one of the technicians, I decided to have the fuel filters and oil changed on my 2011 Ford F-350 6.7L diesel. What a mistake that turned out to be. When they told me the truck was ready, I got in to leave and immediately noticed that my low fuel pressure light was on. I brought it to the technician's attention, and he asked me to pull the truck back around to the bay. They spent approximately an hour trying to diagnose the problem. I was eventually told there was air in the fuel line and that they needed to bleed it out. About another hour later, they told me they couldn't get fuel past the fuel filter. During all of this, they ran both of my batteries down trying to get the truck started. I asked for a manager and also asked whether there was someone on site with more mechanical experience who could help diagnose the problem. There was neither a manager nor anyone with additional mechanical experience available. They changed the fuel filter again and jumped the truck. It finally started, and they told me I was good to go. By this time, it was just before closing, around 5:30 p.m. I had spent approximately four hours in their shop. They did offer me a $25 coupon toward my next visit. Considering what had just happened, I found that offer insulting. I drove home. The next morning, I woke up to find fuel all over my driveway. I immediately called the store, but they didn't open until 9:00 a.m. I was waiting at the bay doors when they opened. They were obviously surprised to see me. I explained what had happened and showed them pictures of the fuel on my driveway. They immediately took the truck in and said they could see where the leak was coming from. They replaced the fuel filter again and told me I should be good to go. That took approximately another hour. I left and stopped at the grocery store. When I came back out, I could clearly see that the truck was still leaking fuel. I immediately drove back to Jiffy Lube. They looked at it again and acknowledged that it was now leaking worse than it had before. At this point, I again asked to speak with a manager. The technician told me the manager would not be there until Monday but said he would contact him. I told them I wanted to take my truck to my regular mechanic to have the problem properly repaired and have Jiffy Lube pay for the repair. I was told I could not do that. It was now around noon on Sunday. The technician asked if I could leave the truck until Monday, when someone with more knowledge would be there to work on it. I explained that I needed the truck to get to work Monday. He then told me that he believed he knew what the problem was. He said a part had broken off on Saturday when they originally changed the fuel filter. If that was the problem, why wasn't I told about it on Saturday? He asked if I could leave the truck so he could try to locate the correct part. I reluctantly agreed. Around 4:00 p.m., they called and told me the truck was fixed. I was told they had located a Motorcraft part for the fuel filter and replaced the broken part. Thankfully, the truck has worked fine since then. However, throughout this entire experience, I have still received no meaningful offer to make this situation right, other than the original $25 coupon. I want to make something clear: I don't blame the young technicians who worked on my truck. From what I saw, they were doing their best to diagnose and solve a problem that occurred while my vehicle was in their care. My concern is with the management and lack of appropriate support at the location. There was no manager available when I needed one, and despite the technician telling me he spoke with the manager several times, the manager never spoke with me directly. I was told a manager would call me Monday. As of today, I still haven't heard from anyone. I'm sharing this experience because I hope it helps someone else avoid going through what I went through. What should have been a routine visit taking an hour or so turned into approximately five hours over two days, multiple attempts to repair the problem, fuel leaking all over my driveway, drained batteries, and a great deal of frustration. Please think carefully before having work performed on your vehicle at this location. Richard Allen
