Denny's Auto is the epitome of family owned, small town shop. From the moment you walk in, you can tell it's a unique place. Service is great, chit-chat includes everyone within earshot (whether you had intended to being the conversation or not) and they take good care of their customers. I was in and out in no time and did not have an appointment (not sure if they take them, really). They even went the extra mile to cover my steering wheel to prevent the spread of germs during this COVID-19 outbreak. Thanks for taking such good care of my car-I'll be back!

    Leakage at jiffy lube inspection

Sunday my truck just decided to stop turning. Luckily I wasn't on the road. I was for reals blaming the oil shop for not filling up my power steering fluid. My bad! I kept filling it up and noticed that I kept emptying out too quick. Monday morning I had to crank my steering wheel to get my kids to school. I ended up stopping at a gas station. There I called a tow truck. They took me to jiffy lube. Jiffy lube did their inspection and power steering fluid just came shooting out of the tie rod area. Jiffy lube gave me a quote to get tie rod fixed. I asked what causes stuff like that? They tell me it could be my 6" lift, sometimes the pressure and stress on the other components (usually older ones) will cause that and they recommended that I take it back to the lift shop. I had another tow guy come back out to haul my beast from 7000 S. Down to 10400 S. To Clayton's auto. They take a look at it and call me up. They find that my steering rack and pinion are no good. But they don't do that stuff there and they recommended another shop. At this point, I'm becoming discouraged, frustrated and stressing out. Lol! Worrying about "putting trust" into yet another shop for my truck we worked so hard and long to take care of, in another shops hands. Not only that, money. Not everyone has money to just cough up on big fixes like this. Fortunately for me, I had emergency funds set aside. This was an emergency because it's the only vehicle my kids and I have. It was a must to get it fixed. Anyway, Clayton not only recommended these guys, they were kind enough to take it over there for me after I spoke to Renae and got things situated with her. RENAE is awesome! She broke everything down to me. Told me what would be happening and what to expect. Once my truck got in there Tuesday morning, they were already inspecting everything and checking out the leak site. They did their inspection based on mileage. And everything they had quoted me, I knew I needed done. It was a simple "approve or decline" process. They never tried to upsell or push any of their other services on me. I like that. For me, that helps me to gain trust. And even though I declined the other services, they were still happy to get my truck back on track without grumbling about why I declined the other services. These guys are super professional, just within the short experience that I've had with them. I was worried my truck wasn't going to be done until this weekend. Wednesday morning it was done. Dude! I almost cried. Haha. I still worried (because it's a new shop) but I trusted Shane from Claytons auto who recommended Denny's Auto. And now, Denny's Auto has gained my trust. My truck drives SO SMOOTH. I can feel a HUGE difference from before and now. So thankful things worked out the way they did. And I didn't have to call up for another tow truck to haul my beast around. And I wasn't about to pay for an extension on my rental. Haha...THANKS SO MUCH DENNYS AUTO!! I will for sure be back to check out the other services I had to decline on this trip. Let me just recover my bank account from the damage this work took. Lmbo! Worth it though. For sure worth it. Highly recommend those who are wanting work done here to be honest and straight up. These guys will return the favor. Thanks again Denny's Auto.

Best service I've had in years!! Professional, kind, thorough and above and beyond service that is so rare these days! My daughter and I had our new tires put on by the guys there yesterday and when they had a little hiccup with a machine, they offered me a loaner car to help get us home! No BS here. These guys truly go above and beyond! Christian even put the car seat in the loaner car for me! Definitely a great place that has gained my trust!

This was the first repair that was needed outside of my warranty and outside of VW. These guys were honest and straightforward about what was wrong and the cost and the recommendations they provided. They were responsive and communicated to me about the timeline in which it would be completed, when the part was delayed a day, they made sure I knew and I never had to call them for an update. Stress of a broken down car was as minimal as it could be and I will definitely return as the need arises. Thanks so much!!!

That said, having just made the first of many credit card payments for work I never would have had done given the full scope of what my vehicle needed, I feel compelled to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the actual work done here seems fairly competent, the diagnostic process seems about as accurate as playing darts blindfolded. I brought my car in because it was creaking misfiring, and the check engine light was on. I told them that I believed my engine mounts were worn out and that I also needed a diagnoses for the misfiring. They told me that the cause for the misfiring was likely that my spark plugs and ignition coils were worn out, because that usually happens around 100k miles and my vehicle was past that. I agreed to have them replaced along with new engine mounts, to the tune of $2,600. I was told that after this my vehicle would be like a totally different car. The very next day, my car misfired again and the check engine light came back on. When I brought it back, they informed me that they don't have any way of knowing this fo sure, but I probably actually had a blown head gasket. I brought my car to a different mechanic shop who did a full and complete diagnostic from bumper to bumper and took photos of everything wrong with the car- from a blown head gasket to a leaking transmission to almost completely worn wheel bushings and a host of other problems totaling over $8,200 in addition to the $2,600 I had already paid at Red Rock Auto. Had I known this in the first place, I never would have paid $2,600 on a doomed old van that needed almost $11,000 in work done. I had to buy a new van and that $2,600 would have really helped with the down payment. I'm tempted to say that I feel duped, but I don't think there was any malice or fraud going on- just general laziness or incompetence in the diagnostic process that very negatively affected me.

My mechanic was skilled and quick, it only took him just a few minutes to change everything out and I was set to go. I've added them as a contact for future repairs, so I'm recommending them here for anyone else that needs auto servicing.

All the eletrical in our car went out we assumed we needed a battery which is something we change out every few years because Vegas summers are brutal. We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. Thank you for the best auto repair service we have hands down ever had!
