The day following the review I received a call from Joe, the manager who was very apologetic, related he knew exactly who I was, and explained the assistant manager had recently passed away and the young man I delt with was fairly new. I have to re-evaluate my review of 1 and change it to AT LEAST a 4. It says something that a business pays timely attention to reviews and customer feed-back. For this I commend them and additionally that the work they do is attentive to detail. i explained it was not my effort to have the young mans employment in jeopardy; but moreover for him to be mentored, especially in integrity. This was our first time here, and will most likely be our last. Initially, we were told to go wait in the lobby or could sit on a bench outside while they changed the oil in our car. That's all we came for, so we didn't think it would take long. We walked into the "lobby", which is a very small room with about 8 chairs all right next to each other along the walls, to find it packed with maskless people, so we went outside. There was a small occupied bench, so we just sat on the ground. We checked to see if our car was next, and we saw it as the next vehicle about 3 times, and yet a different car would drive through, so we were wondering if they were skipping ours since we hadn't paid yet. After 20-30 minutes we went inside to see if we had to pay now or after. The man could hear us talking at the front desk and standing there to be helped, but he stayed at his computer ignoring us. We came back a little while later because we saw him at the front desk talking to people. We were standing in front of him and I caught his eye several times, but he continued his casual conversation about world history and laughing with some guys who were just sitting in the waiting lobby. He ignored us for a long time, so we just went back outside. Later, a different employee came outside and told us he would help us in about 10 minutes. He was nice and did help us at the front desk, but when I asked for the cheapest oil option, he said it was their full synthetic. I asked how much it was- $76.99 which was better than what he originally told me was the most recommended for my car, their most expensive one, which he said was like $99.99 before tax. I went with the $76 one since I assumed there was no cheaper option, and only looked online about their prices later. He did let me use 2 coupons for a total of $20 off, but with the oil change and a recommended filter change, we paid a little over $130 Overall, we waited about an hour for the oil change, were disappointed by the environment during the covid-19 pandemic, paid way more than necessary, and were left extremely irritated by one of their employee's lack of customer service. read more

I chose this place because it's the only place my boyfriend ever gets his oil changed at, and my car REALLY needed one. They were super friendly, super fast (literally done in 20 mins), masks on every employee, I had the option of waiting in my car while they worked on it, AND one of them opened my car door for me when they were all done with my oil change! They even cleaned the bird poo off my windows, topped off any liquids that were low, and vacuumed my interior for me. 10/10 would recommend to a friend! read more

For the love of all things sacred, please avoid this place at all costs. In January of 2017 my perfectly good working van was taken here for an oil change. Less than 24 hours later my van was completely totaled due to a botched oil filter installation a third grader could do better. All of the oil simply fell out of the van utterly destroying the engine. The manager and staff accepted liability nearly instantly- this can't be the only time this has happened. The company tried to lowball me and get me to settle outside of insurance but fortunately I knew better. Now that it's all said and done: I'm out of a van and I'm out of a lot of money. Their insurance covered the van but our loss of income due to missing work has been totally ignored by their insurance and Jiffy Lube. The sheer inconvenience this place caused me is worth double the van. The store manager likes to talk fast and butter people up as they come in, but when shit hits the fan he's utterly clueless- we had to call other auto shops in Des Moines so they could come look at it. Avoid this place like the plague. Jiffy Lube is great at appearing competent, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Take your car to a licensed real mechanic shop for an oil change. This is a lesson I learned the hard way. read more

This place is run like the pit crew at a NASCAR event met the military's seal team 6. These guys are on their game and they execute. I have a company vehicle so I am in here about once/month. I have never waited more than 15 minutes even with vehicles in front of me. They are fair and don't oversell unless you need it. They also don't skip a beat. They explain everything to you upon check out so you know exactly what is going on with your vehicle. Whatever management is doing here, please continue it because this is the kind of place I will go out of my way to come back to. read more

I went here being a young women and they completely tried to take advantage of me. They priced me at $100 for a routine oil change... I knew it wasn't right so I spoke up and then the price magically went down to $60, that's still extremely over priced but I didn't know what else to do. Very accommodating! Opened all doors for me, escorted me in and out of the building, and called me sir the entire time there. They were very good at explaining everything and saying what should be done and what to keep on my radar. Did not pressure to get anything extra. Got the oil changed 12/2 only lasted 12/13 in 2017 only a few weeks. I took it to 2 mechanics they told me there was no oil in th motor that's the reason my car stopped.I had to replace the motor. I spoke with manager who spoke with their insurance company. Once they contacted me they said the motor was full of oil. I told him the motor they checked was the new one the mechanic had just put in. They did not check the old one and kept telling me if there was no oil it wouldnt have lasted about a block. I didnt say they didnt put oil in i told them it was probably not enough. No reimbursement was given. Blame was put on the dealership i got it from. I had the motor checked before i took it off the lot. It was fine. I will not recommend this place to anyone. If you go there and it works for you well good job! read more

Josh was incredibly accommodating; polite and helpful over the phone, and once we arrived, he took care of us right away. We were driving up through Iowa from Oklahoma, with incorrectly (too high) rated windshield wiper fluid so our lines froze in Missouri. We should've known better, we're northerners by birthright so blame it on our passengers: 10mo twins & 4.5yo. We called ahead to see if they could pump out the previous fluid and replace with below 25F fluid. Viola! Your typical oil change place. A little pricey if you ask me. It took me 20 minutes longer than they said it would, which made me late for work. They had hot coffee, tea, magazines, and a television. Service was really good, other than taking quite a long time. read more

Run away from this place. Came in for a routine oil change. Aside from taking forever and the usual attempts to sell me things I don't need (I had put on brand new wiper blades a few days prior, yet was told mine were looking kind of old and worn out and that I should consider replacing them...), everything went seemingly fine. Until I got home, at least; within a day my vehicle started leaking oil when it had previously gone 165k miles without losing a drop. By the time I got it in to my usual mechanic four days later, it was a quart and a half low on oil. Jiffy Lube replaced the drain plug with a cheap after-market plug with no sealing washer, and the cheap filter they used was not installed correctly and oil was seeping from the filter housing, creating a big mess. Wasted $100 at JL just to have to go someplace reliable to pay for the job to be done right. Do not come to this store. read more
