First time here so I felt uncertain about the process. When I pulled in someone greeted me and had me pull in and wait in the waiting area, where they had complimentary bottles of water. They had some magazines, mostly hunting variety. The prices were a bit of a mystery until they call you up and feels like they really want the up charges (it was my cars first oil change so I didn't need tires rotated yet or an air filter, in my opinion. Be sure to check online for a coupon or ask if they have any. Process was pretty quick and no appointment was required. read more

Jiffy Lube - Water while you wait. Thank you. - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Clive, Iowa

Good communication fast service, all the techs were cool but front desk lady was a bit grumbly.

I used to love coming here for an oil change because the staff was so friendly and actually seemed like they cared about their job. Unfortunately i went in thursday (April 24th) and had an awful experience. I came in because the day prior my oil light flickered on for a bit. According to my car miles and my sticker from my last oil change i had about 400 miles until an oil change. I went in, didn't recognize any of the guys working (no problem idc i just need an oil change). the guy who brought me in didn't care at all and wasn't the usual kind and friendly staff i usually have at this location. anyways i was sat and they started working on my car. the guy at the computer and who i assume to be the manager tells the guy not to drain my oil and to look at the color. Now i assume this was a miscommunication between staff because the manager comes to me inside, show me the oil and says it's a good color. He also states that i have 1400 miles left before an oil change. I have no idea where that number came from. anyways i tell him that my oil light came on and that's why i came in. He told me he would just reset the light and i got sent on my way. shortly after my oil light came on again. this continued to happen over the next few days where my oil light would come on and off everyday. I assumed there was an issue with my car and would have to go a mechanic. anyways someone suggested my oil may be low. i checked it and sure enough it was. I was pissed to know i tried getting an oil change and they didn't want to do their job so they found an excuse not to. I ended up going to waukee location. the staff here wasn't as friendly and i was hoping but they did the job no problem. read more

Jiffy Lube - the sticker i received from my last oil change telling me when to get a new one - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Clive, Iowa

Beware of the upsell on everything, and the fast and smooth talking of the guy at the counter. And beware of them refusing to honor coupons on their website. They told me they are not a participating location on a coupon I had even though I showed that the Jiffy Lube website said that they were a participating location. They said they have their own website I should have used. Then they said I should have called to confirm what the Jiffy Lube already said about the coupon. Just makes me wonder what kind of value I am getting with this behavior. read more

Jiffy Lube - Coupon this location denied - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Clive, Iowa

In and out under 20 minutes on a Saturday. Prices comparable to other shops in town for full synthetic and no high pressure sales tactics.

Careless service led to oily mess in engine compartment. I had to pay an additional $300 to diagnose and clean up the mess caused by their negligence. I paid this Jiffy Lube for an oil change and air filter replacement on July 13, 2020. Apparently they did not replace the oil dipstick correctly. 3 months later the check engine light came on in my vehicle. I scheduled a service appointment with my dealership. They discovered the oil dipstick was improperly reinstalled, had shaken loose, and spewed oil all over the manifold. The cost of diagnostics and clean-up was $300. I called the location to report their error. I was blown off on my initial call and did not receive a follow up call after leaving my phone number for their manager. After my second call, they responded that they would not stand by their service and would only offer me a free oil change, but not help reimburse the $300 cost of their error. I would not recommend this location. read more

Very fast for an afternoon oil change.. Got me in and out in under 20 minutes! Showed me my filters, and checked to see if I wanted an upgrade! Stuff seamed a bit pricey but it was fast and the staff was super nice! I kinda wish oil change places would maybe put on gloves before they get into your car and drive it.. As a massive germ a phobe I was wet wiping my steering wheel after and the wet wipe ended up black.. Other than my steering wheal getting an oil change too, this places was spot on! In and out with a smile! read more

so I went and got a oil change and they said I needed the cabin filter changed. I went to them instead of bob brown where I bought my car thinking I would save some money. the guy said the code was an engine problem. I was like no code 82 is an oil change problem. he was like oh yea I guess ur right ur oil is low. And then not even a hour later my check engine light comes on. so I went back and said u guys did something to my car. and he's like we don't touch anything of the part of the car that the codes are reading. he was super rude. so then I went to bob brown and they told me it has to be something they did. so I have a appointment Friday to have it looked at. something to do with havac system. which when u change a cabin filter that deals with that system. I googled it. im pretty pissed that I spend $150 there and now might have to spend more because of their mistake. the guys barely looked 21. they need to hire people that know what their doing. the guy lied to me and said their cheaper well in fact bob brown would of been cheaper. so kinda pissed. feel like cause I was a young single mom got taken advantage of. never again will do business again. My dad was right. I should of went to bob brown. lesson learned. read more

I have used this location and also the one on SE 14th, and both are excellent. The service is friendly and thorough. I appreciate that they will show me my air filter and advise that it might need to be changed in a few months, so I don't feel like they are trying to sell me something I don't need. Lobby is always clean, and the staff here are professional and polite. It's easy to get in and out of here in a quick amount of time with a job well done. read more

I was just sitting in the waiting room after being told it would be 15 minutes to change my oI'll. 2 people that came in after me got their cars in before mine so I walked back out and told them I wasn't staying. very frustrating!! I had decent service last time I was there. Guess I need a new place to get my oil changed in my 3 cars read more

Jiffy Lube - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Clive, Iowa

I initially went in to get my Oil changed on 09/10/20 and I was told they were very concerned because my pads and rotors were shot. I did believe them as my car had 89,000 miles and I had never had them changed. (stupid me) All told with oil change rotors and pads was 875.00 which I thought was fair. On 09/18/20 I am hearing a clunk in my left rear wheel so I take it back. I'm told that my calipers are loose and that sound is it thunking against the wheel bolt but there should be no issue. Stupidly I took them at their word and they didn't even charge me. In the next week I drove an hour and a half to visit parents and back and generally everywhere else. Monday morning on 09/28/20 I take off for work. When I put on the brakes I hear a grinding/shrieking noise from the back wheel. I immediately take it back. they take off the wheels and grind the rotors. They come back and tell me I'm having "bearing" issues and refer me to another Jiffy Lube. once again no charge. I limp to the next Jiffy lube and am told they don't know why I was referred to them because they just change oil. Finally fed up I take it to the dealer. The next day I am told the bolt was sheared off the wheel. Luckily they replaced the bolt tightened up the wheel and had if fixed. Jiffy Lube had the wheel off, saw the missing bolt and then told me it was bearings. The issue that they said was not going to be an issue became an issue. Needless to say I will be never going back and recommend anyone that needs anything done go to a dealer. read more

This place is great. The wait time is minimal and the staff is very friendly. They try to convince you to change your air filter every time, but they don't pressure you or anything when you tell them no thanks. read more

They sent me out the door without re-attaching my under engine skid plate. I drug it down the freeway for 10 miles before being alerted that I was dragging something. It was my skid plate! Now they want me to live with the damaged plate if they can re-attach it. This is a one year old $60,000 car. They put on a show of caring about you, but have a problem and you'll see how much they don't care. Stupid too. I own 5 vehicles and they lost my business over a $150 skid plate. I'll stick to the dealers for oil changes. These people do not stand behind their work. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. An hour and a half to replace serpentine belt they said would take a half hour.

Stay away!!! Pressured every service they offered!! If you don't know about cars don't come here they will try and take advantage of you! They recommended several fluid changes including transmission and coolant WITHOUT actually checking them!!! Based their recommendation on miles on car, didn't ask if these fluids had been changed recently. Car was completely serviced ALL fluids checked two months ago when purchased. When I asked manager why they would recommend these services without checking fluids he stated it was Jiffy Lube POLICY. Manager lacked all customer service skills. Will never return to this location or any other Jiffy Lube based on this interaction. Find a local and honest mechanic elsewhere. read more

Quick and easy. Every time I am in Love that they check everything out on my car. Cuz honestly I rarely do

They rotated our tires and left the lug nuts so loose we lost 3 lug nuts while driving. Two of the screws sheared off and we had to have the entire wheel replaced. The worst part is the manager WON'T RETURN calls after making our car a virtual DEATH TRAP! So frustrating they cannot even have a conversation about this! read more

Got my last oil change there. Went to remove my filter and they had screwed it on so tight, even NAPA mechanic couldn't get it off. Stuck with a truck that's not driveable. Don't use these guys. read more

First time here today and I am sitting in the lobby hearing the Assistant Manager, Jesse, talk to a customer who is upset that it took 2 hours for her oil change. He won't give her a refund or any type of discount for the major inconvenience, says they aren't robots, informs her they are trying to hire people but no one wants to work in the automotive industry, keeps telling her that he's got an upper respiratory infection and he came in, etc. Basically making excuses and doing everything except giving a genuine apology and trying to right their wrong. The customers were not told ahead of time that they were short staffed or that it would take that long. To that he said "if a mystery shopper came in, we would get docked for saying that." Really? You'd get docked for letting people know that half your crew is out sick and it's going to take TWO HOURS for an oil change? I won't be coming back no matter if I get out of here in 30 minutes. That was the worst way to handle that situation. Jiffy Lube on 86th- always be aware of who is listening- especially in your open lobby. The customer is always right- that is the first rule in a customer service profession. read more
