the sticker i received from my last oil change telling me when to get a new one

I used to love coming here for an oil change because the staff was so friendly and actually seemed like they cared about their job. Unfortunately i went in thursday (April 24th) and had an awful experience. I came in because the day prior my oil light flickered on for a bit. According to my car miles and my sticker from my last oil change i had about 400 miles until an oil change. I went in, didn't recognize any of the guys working (no problem idc i just need an oil change). the guy who brought me in didn't care at all and wasn't the usual kind and friendly staff i usually have at this location. anyways i was sat and they started working on my car. the guy at the computer and who i assume to be the manager tells the guy not to drain my oil and to look at the color. Now i assume this was a miscommunication between staff because the manager comes to me inside, show me the oil and says it's a good color. He also states that i have 1400 miles left before an oil change. I have no idea where that number came from. anyways i tell him that my oil light came on and that's why i came in. He told me he would just reset the light and i got sent on my way. shortly after my oil light came on again. this continued to happen over the next few days where my oil light would come on and off everyday. I assumed there was an issue with my car and would have to go a mechanic. anyways someone suggested my oil may be low. i checked it and sure enough it was. I was pissed to know i tried getting an oil change and they didn't want to do their job so they found an excuse not to. I ended up going to waukee location. the staff here wasn't as friendly and i was hoping but they did the job no problem.

Coupon this location denied

Beware of the upsell on everything, and the fast and smooth talking of the guy at the counter. And beware of them refusing to honor coupons on their website. They told me they are not a participating location on a coupon I had even though I showed that the Jiffy Lube website said that they were a participating location. They said they have their own website I should have used. Then they said I should have called to confirm what the Jiffy Lube already said about the coupon. Just makes me wonder what kind of value I am getting with this behavior.

Don't ever confuse being furious with being difficult! First LIE; Shawn, Bill & Shawn Jr ALL proudly shared with me the new 30K Engine Analyzer they had & would be using to diagnose the reason for the SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning dash light coming on. Second LIE; Yes THAT SERVICE ENGINE SOON is the correct light that was on & the reason I brought my mother's car in. Shawn was aware THAT was the warning dash light that was lit & he even reset it following their unneeded service. Not a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Third Lie; I DID NOT MOVE ANY BARREL blocking your carwash entrance & for you to accuse me of doing that is beyond ridiculous. If Shawn is such an honest guy, as you initially touted to me, he would have told you HE MOVED THAT BARREL & then told me to drive in & he'd start the carwash. It never started, not one drop of water was ever released. Shawn even apologized to me saying he was sorry he didn't realize it was not working. I was even told to come back in the Springtime for a free wash. I hope my reviews give future potential customers pause before taking their vehicle to your service center. Again with the false accusations. Any still pictures you claim to have of "a woman moving your barrel" is not me. Ask Shawn, IF he's the honest guy you say he is, he'll tell you the truth, HE MOVED THAT BARREL. YOU however are the height of an unprofessional businessman. Funny how when you texted me pleading with me to bring the car back you stated "I'm not like those other guys, I'm professional & I just want to make it right for you" HA AND by calling a dissatisfied customer a "Karen" immediately identifies you as a immature & hateful MAGA, certainly NOT ANY KIND OF PROFESSIONAL!

Took in a 2015 Toyota Highlander for a prepurchase inspection. Brian checked me in and was so…read morehelpful! I told him of my concerns and he reassured me that they will look over it thoroughly. I received my inspection report within a few hours, and I am so so happy I did this! This was the most in depth, thorough prepurchase inspection I have ever gotten. My suspicions were right on with the vehicle. At 120,000 miles, I saw that the Carfax didn't mention any maintenance or service past the 100,000 mile mark, BIG red flag! At that mileage there's much that needs to be done...timing belt, all fluids flushed, possible water pump, gaskets, shocks/struts, etc. None of that had been done to this car, resulting in needing a timing belt replacement (I thought I heard the faint sound of it being worn out when I test drove it), shocks/struts, gasket leaks, and a new alternator, to the tune of around $7,000. Oh, and the kicker was they found that there were several diagnostic codes that were recently cleared. Hmmm, wonder who cleared those? Needless to say, I did not purchase this vehicle. I did inform the dealership that was selling it of the issues, and as you can imagine, they didn't care and said that Christian Bros was making stuff up so they could sell me more services. Um, you're also trying to sell me something and it smells like lemons! Christian Bros has never let me down, and I've never done business with you. BTW- we live in Ankeny and Christian Bros has been our go to for honest, reliable car repairs. I will continue looking and will always bring my cars to them, they are the best! Best $200 I have ever spent.
