Scammed me into buying two extra tires for a free alignment. Told me to come back another day for it, when I do come back they still charged me for it. So I got scammed into getting two tires I didn't really need and still had to pay for the alignment. What a garbage business model. read more

My fleet company lists Firestone Complete Auto Care as one of several options for maintenance and tires. I had a tire emergency yesterday and found this store as rated above average and set up an appointment that was confirmed. My tire was unrepairable, leaking steady and I needed this taken care of quickly. I arrived at 1:00, walked in. I knew this was not going to be a pleasant experience when she, in snotty attitude, asked "What do you want?' Told her about my appointment and after she finally found my information, she told me; "Your request for service had not yet been approved." I started to explain I had confirmation and she interrupted me telling me she could not help me! This woman has a bad attitude and has no business being in customer service! We have been going to this location for years. Not anymore. They replaced the water pump kit on our car (which there was nothing wrong with it) and charged us 360 for the parts and 360 for the labor. Not sure if that was reasonable, but it doesn't seem like it. I had to get our other vehicle serviced somewhere else this time and they informed me Firestone had put the wrong brake pads on my vehicle. Do NOT take your vehicle here unless you want to overpay and possibly get a wrong part put on your vehicle! :( read more

Cost me $991.77 in labor for just over 3 hours of work. Lots of places less expensive and just as good.

We were scheduled for purchase and installation on a fifth vehicle but cancelled the appointment of 11/21/14. The day before, after having pumped up a tire that was dropping in pressure over night, my wife drove the car (2011 Nissan Juke) to Firestone on Merle Hay Road (Des Moines, Iowa) for a presumed repair. We have bought sets of tires for four of our seven cars from Firestone, three of those sets at the Merle Hay Location in the past two years. Thus it was assumed we could readily have a flat repaired. Instead, we were told it would be a week before we could get in to fix a tire and drops from 40 psi to 20 psi in a matter of hours. Turned away, she drove down the street to the auto dealer where the tire was repaired within 60 minutes as well as changing the oil. Harvey Firestone once said "Our company is built on people - those who work for us, and those we do business with." We will not be doing any further business with Firestone. He also said "The secret of my success is a two word answer: Know People." If Harvey knew the people who turned us away, they would not be working there and if those who work for Firestone knew the customer, our tire would have been fixed. read more

This store is average at best. They didn't explain the financing thoroughly. They have discrepancies between their inspection sheet and what is put on the invoice. They did an alignment even though they stated the front end has loose components (basically the whole front end) and this makes me question their honesty. This store should take a hard look at itself and revise how it operates. I left not having a good impression of this store. read more
