Stopped in on a Monday around 5pm for safety inspection and the gentlemen who helped me was great. Now, I'll never state I'm a great driver in tight spaces and the gentleman who assisted me saw I was in a bind and offered to pull into the garage for me and I could wait inside. Thank goodness! They don't seem to know when their services are available. I went 3 times to get my car inspected, got told 3 different schedules. The only consistent answer I got was that the couldn't do it on the days I stopped by. Example, the first day, I went at 4pm and they said they stopped inspections at 3pm. The next day, I stopped by around 2pm and they said that I need to return in an hour and a half. I came back, and again they said they don't do it after 3pm. So my daughter took her car here for an oil change. I did the next oil change. I found they used the wrong oil filter. Using the wrong oil filter can negatively impact oil pressure. The wrong filter, a filter that isn't working properly, or a filter that gets clogged can cause oil pressure to drop. ... If the relief valve is damaged, or the wrong filter is used, too much or too little oil can pass into the engine. It's kind of a big deal. Who knows if they used the correct oil. On the oil filter they installed it cross references the Fram number. I'm posting a picture of the filter they installed (wrong size). And I'm posting pictures of the Fram filters. One is the filter cross referenced on the side of the filter they used and the other is the correct size. You can see the difference. This place gets 0.1 stars because they screwed up and tried to ruin the engine in my car. I told my daughter never go here again. read more

Got an oil change and didn't even bother checking my air tire pressure and tell them to check my tire pressure and go back and redo it because they did a half ass job and didn't inflate them correctly. They don't even bother to check if they were even. Didn't even check the fluids. Had to ask again. Didn't have windshield wiper fluid and had been out for days!!! Rush job. read more

They recently found a gash in my tire that I did not know was there and advised me about it for my safety. It means a lot to have an honest store that I can trust for my car service. I came to get a car inspection here and the man at the front desk spoke to me like a child all because I said I was going to come back instead of staying at the location for the 2 HOURS they quoted me before taking a look at my car. Then he came out to make sure I was either leaving or staying which I didn't understand as his business since he had already told me if I left I would have to sign in again. Anyways I went to Castrol Oil that 4 minutes away and the inspector Ernest is very kind, knowledgeable and respectful. He really enjoys what he does. Jiffy lube lost my business for life. read more

So my fiancé and I ate next door at Mour and when we left, noticed that she had a nail in her tire, totally flat. With a newborn in the backseat, i didn't want to change out the tire on that road so I walked over to JL (about 50 yards away) and they immediately said it would be fine for us to pull up and they'd change out the tire with the donut!! About 5 techs worked on this right away and didn't even charge us. Overall awesome help and great attitude from their team. IMHO, this location deserves better reviews based on our experience. I sat in line patiently for this man to make the natural assumption that I skipped the line as he did not see me at the front of the line and then made it about his concern for the patron behind me who had appeared 20 minutes after me. If I didn't need this inspection and wait for it, I'd leave. read more

As someone who gets anxiety about taking my car to get work, I love this place. They were quick, efficient, and helpful. I got my oil changed on a Honda civic. They applied a coupon to my change which I was happy about, and filled my tires up no charge. These guys are very knowledgeable and experienced and know what they're doing. And the best part, is that they're friendly and didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any sort of way. Trey was working the front and he was so nice. The main inspector had just left for the day, but when I let Saul know I wouldn't be able to come back the next day because of work he said he would fit me in. THEY SMASHED UP MY CAR AND WILL NOT PAY FOR THE $1000+ in REPAIRS. I brought my vehicle in for a $19 state inspection on 8/16/21. While my car was in their possession, one of their employees smashed a good portion of my front bumper against a large cement barrier. They told me they'd pay for it, but after receiving the $1052.37 estimate, they have gone MIA. The store Manager says he cannot move forward without the District Manager's approval. I have called and left countless messages for him, as well as reported to Jiffy Lube Franchisee three times. No one will return any of my calls or messages. I know better than to go to jiffy lube for really anything and was only there because of how close it is to me. Saved a lot of money getting my inspection elsewhere on top of it being a better experience and taking just 15 minutes for what would've been close to an hour at jiffy lube. read more

Not much to say regarding the service, except they have never been able to work on my Jeep. Two months ago I went in for a tire rotation and oil change. They immediately said they didn't have any equipment to perform a rotation on my Jeep because theirs couldn't get high enough - I only have a 2.5" lift. Additionally, they didn't have the filter that my vehicle needed for the oil change so they were unable to do even the most basic services. Today I took my vehicle in for a state inspection. When I walked in at 230p, they told me their inspector was "getting ready to leave for the day" and that they didn't have the time to complete it. They are open until 7p today their inspector is done mid-day on the second to last day of the month (assuming this is a busy time for them). Instead I took my vehicle a five minute drive away to Youniversal Auto Care and they were extremely nice and completed my inspection in 7 minutes. Highly recommend you try there first. read more

I went today for an oil change and 2 guys where at the service area and told me that their manager was on the phone and can't do anything because he is the one managing the computer. I just asked why is that? (Simple question) one of the guys told me....rude tone: you can go to the one at Oltorf Street. I said: simple question - he repeated "you can go to the Oltorf Street". Then, he started working on my car - NO WAY I will let this guys work on my car. Lost of trust already. I went inside to talk to manager and he was not on the phone and was MORE RUDE than the guys outside. Well, I'm at the Oltorf Street and the guys here are definitely nicer. I've gone to this jiffy lube multiple times and have been disappointed with their services multiple times. (I've kept coming back because it's a convenient location for me.) The first time I came here it took several hours for a simple oil change even though they estimated 30 minutes. There was a worker who helped me, continued working, took a lunch break, returned, and was surprised to see that I was still waiting -- so it's not just my opinion. The second and third time I went, they informed me that I needed a new car part. But both times they didn't have it in stock and said "next time". Today, we arrived when they first opened (around 7am) to get my partner's car inspected. We were told very clearly that car inspections begin at 9:30am. We waited at a shop nearby and returned at 9:30 to be told that inspections won't be starting until 10:30am. When I assured the employee that we were told that morning that we would be able to get the car inspected at 9:30, they essentially said too bad. Absolutely useless and rude. I've learned my lesson and absolutely will never return to this location. read more

Best car service I have ever received. My battery light went on and power steering went a few blocks away. I was able to make it to this location. William was very kind took a look at my battery, got rid of a lot of the corrosion and tested me battery. Informed me it was my battery, offered me and new one. All my wires were rusted him and his crew worked so hard to carefully get them off and reattach without damaging them more. It was the end of their day and extremely hot and they still were so nice and patient. It turned out my alternator also went. They gave me a very fair price, gave me updates every step of the way. Rachel the mechanic who worked on my car replaced my belt for free free since it was squeaking. I can't not say enough good things, will go here for all my car needs! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Wish I could give less than 1 star. I have never given a one star rating before. I hate getting my car inspected because its one thing you don't get an option to fix yourself. You're forced to put you vehicle in the hands of unqualified techs. 1. First off no one here knows how to drive manual. 2. I was told because of this, I would be driving for the inspection. 3.This didn't happen, a worker who couldn't drive standard attempted to drive it and almost hit the dumpsters behind the store. I wasn't told anything. 4. He had to back up but couldn't find reverse and the manager comes over and starts pushing my car using the hood scoop as a handle. 5. I started filming on my phone and told him to stop because the scoop is fiber glass. 6. He said that reverse was not working. B.S. 7. I got in, easily reversed my car back to the inspection bay. 8. Asked the manager why I wasn't able to drive and he got attitude and said I drove manual better that his employees....Thats exactly why I should have been driving. To make a long story short Im getting bored spending anymore time on this terribly run store. The manager wouldn't apologize and was aggressive. Bottomline just avoid this place.
