I called Rivera Auto at 11:45 after a google search to ask if they did vehicle inspections and if so how long is the wait? the person on the phone said they did inspections but they all go to lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 and a good time to come in would be 1:30. I showed up at 1:25 went inside waited while the young lady behind the desk finished up with a potential customer just to hear him say he would be back in an hour, she then got on a call with another customer finished that call then finally waited on me (if that's what you want to call it) I told her I was there for an inspection, she tells me she is eating her lunch and I will have to come back in an hour lol I said I called you earlier and you told me to come in at 1:30 so here I am! again she says to come back in an hour she is trying to eat her lunch! First and foremost she literally turned down two potential customers so she could eat her lunch at 1:30 in the afternoon , second if you are going to eat your lunch put a freaking sign on the door to tell your customers to come back in an hour, thirdly do not tell your customers to come at a certain time when you clearly are going to turn them away and lastly clean your place up its ghetto as hell, AND get a qualified receptionist that knows a bit about customer service. I took a late lunch from work just to run over there to get this inspection done because she said to come in at 1:30! what a waste of time! It is unfortunate I have to give a star at all to this place. Went for my inspection and they were telling me my power steering fluid pump and lines were leaking and my front passenger breaks were metal on metal.. Quoting me $300 and that it wouldn't pass. Took it to my mechanic who fixed the issues for half the price. Shawn Kelley the inspector said there was still oil all over the pump. Called my mechanic and he said the pump is fine the oil all over it is from the leaky lines that have now been fixed. He still wouldn't pass it. These people like to waste your time and money. I took my 2007 Chevrolet Malibu to Rivera car shop to repair the oil tray gasket since my car was dripping about a quart of oil every two weeks and there was nothing else wrong with the engine. The mechanic told me that it will cost about $360 and I accepted the charges. When I came back the next day, my car was in pieces all over the garage and the owner of the shop, whose name is Rivera, told me that the problem was even worse and that several seals and parts were needed and that the total cost was now $400. By the time I received my car back the total bill was $700. Two days later my car die don a corner and did not turned on anymore. I called a tow truck and took it back to Rivera car shop because it was obvious that it was related to the repairs done by Rivera car shop. The tow truck cost me $85. When I got there the mechanic, jokingly, told me I had bad luck. After inspecting the car he told me that the car needed a couple of things more; a gas pump and an oil pressure sensor. It cost me another $580 by the time the mechanic finish with the repairs. However, the car still had 2 lights on the dashboard; a check engine and a traction control. When I asked the mechanic what did those lights meant he told me: Possibly the oil pump. I made a decision to take the car to the Chevrolet dealer for a detail inspection. I rented another tow truck for $120. After a week, the dealer called me and told me that the car had many wrong things with it. Among them several cables were cut and sensors and screws were force into place running the threads. But, mainly the electric system was ruined. They told me that it was not an easy fix. The cost of inspection was $350. I want to sue Rivera car shop and his owner Rivera for negligence, because of sabotaging my car and fraud. Después de una semana en el concesionario recibí una llamada del mecánico diciendo hemos hecho un análisis y tu automóvil ha sido severamente dañado. Principalmente en el sistema eléctrico. Los cables y sensores han sido dañados. Hemos encontrado tornillos trasroscados y también el sensor del aceite esta trasroscado. No será posible arreglarlo, este motor está arruinado. I went to this place to get my front brake pads replaced / rotors resurfaced. They charged $162 an axle, or $300 for both. I took the single axle. My girlfriend went the next week and they quoted her $450 for both axles for the same work on a similar car (civic vs carola). So yeah, if you have too many X chromosomes, they will rip you off. Hi I purchased a vehical from mister Rivera who was more than adiment that this was an excellent truck with a great motor and a great transmission less than 5 days later the transmission is bad it has no 3 & 4 gear after bringing it to mister Rivera so that he may see what's going on he cared very little he refused any resonable service and even though hour's before he was very persistant that there was nothing wrong with the truck. Don't take your car to this place they are lying crooks. I took my car in yesterday to do an inspection. The first thing the guy did was raise my car up with the hydraulic lift and started inspecting the bottom of the car. I understand that they sometimes do this to inspect leaks in your exhaust or to inspect the catalytic converter, but he told me that my car needed components of the suspension replaced to pass inspection. Then he pointed out that I have an oil leak coming from the oil pan gasket. I know my car has a problem with the CV axles so I told him to go ahead and replace the CV axle along with the oil pan gaskets. He said OK oil pan gasket and CV axles, "Cheap cheap $300, take around two hour." I told him I can't for $300. Instead I asked him if he can do it for $250. Then I asked him what about the components for the suspension, he said no, "OK". Only oil pan gasket and CV axles $250. It was 2:00pm when I dropped my car off. I went back around 4:30pm assuming that they would be done. I saw that they started working on it and stop. I hung around for an hour before asking the guy I dropped my car off with what the problem was. He said, "We don't have part. Lady go get part." I hung around and I saw the lady come by dropped off some CV axles, I thought they were for my car, but they weren't. While waiting, another customer walks up, furious that his car is still not finished. I hung around the shop until 6:30pm. I asked the guy will the car be finished today. Not surprising, he said, "yes", he said, "lady have to go North to pick up part." I knew they weren't going to finish my car so I told him if you get finish go ahead and call me. So right now it's the next morning, I'm still waiting for my car, good thing I didn't have to work today, because would have to rely on someone else for a ride. I'm just so bothered by mechanics who's not honest. They think that just because we take our cars to them that we don't know anything about cars and they can start lying and start price gouging. I think that it should be by law that all mechanics take a class in ethics. When my engine light came on, I decided to use a local business in my residential area, instead of the big name auto repair centers. It turned out to be a great decision. My car had recently been serviced at two different big-name chains. When Rivera took a look, he pointed out several things that hadn't been done. I went in at 1:30pm, and had my car back that same evening around 6:30pm. The customer service was amazing, and I never once felt that being a girl was costing m more money.
