This Jiffy Lube kept my Ford Explorer in tip top shape. Now that I have Hyundai, i regret getting the all in service package because I have to fight for an appointment a month or two in advance. I still go there for my fluids, tire, and wipers check. They are kind, helpful, and an all around great team. Even with staff turnover the manager ensures service delivery is consistently great. I wish this location did brakes and other things. I need brake work done and I would have to go to another Jiffy Lube. Not a chance. We are repeat customers of Jiffy lube at the Bragaw location but on Monday 4/27 we had a bad experience. We arrived at noon and chose one of the two lines for service. The pit crew paid attention to detail, even washed the windows:) and was done in about an hour and 15 minutes. I think they'd spark plug change was a little bit too speedy though.. The oil is changed with a new filter and the fluids are topped off. Don't be in a hurry. This took over forty-five minutes. Some customers are also given priority while you wait. If you're okay with this, this is your place. My stop was a Wednesday morning at 10:00. I was the last of three cars. Note: they didn't drive my car in like the signs all indicate. Be careful of the ice patches and small berms as you drive yourself in. The JL sticker is on my inner door from a previous visit which should make today's stop that much more convenient. Plus, it's just a straight oil change. I was planning on an in-and-out, and on my way in minutes experience. Hardly. Amid all the typical yelling they checked all my lights and turn signals. Everything but the hazards. Then every ten minutes or so they would come around and ask if I wanted addition work done, such as rear differential service, replace the air filter, new wiper blades and if I want them to check the cabin filter. PRO TIP: Don't have them monkey around with the cabin filter. In most cases it's in behind your glove box and you can get a brand new one for around $20 at the auto parts store and install it, yourself. I look over and the two cars ahead of me are finished and driving away. Two different cars now drive in. I have no idea what was taking so long with my car, but I do know they are not at all organized. Three different people asked me the same question within minutes of each other. Then the same people came back through 10 minutes later and asked (individually) "Are you through and ready to get going?" Wow. Ummm, how do I know? "Oh, has such -n- such been through to finish billing you out?" No. But I need to get going! "I'll send him right over." Of course he didn't come, he's finishing up with Bay 3. Then Bay 2. Finally, he gets to me. I show him the coupon that his company emailed me two weeks ago. It doesn't work. I guess it's back to the repair shop for simple oil changes. Disappointing. 01/23 read more

Daniel and his crew at Jiffy Lube on Bragaw changed my oil today. To make a long story short, the customer service was incredible! Every member of the staff that I met was courteous, professional, kind, thorough, and bending over backwards to make my short time with them as pleasant and comfortable as possible. My Wife and I decided to go over to Costco and do some shopping. When we returned with our cart full of Costco goodies, the crew, even helped load the items from Costco into our vehicle. I went in yesterday to get my fuel filter replaced and they got us in almost immediately and had it done very quickly. i've had no problems with it since. The people that helped us were efficient and polite, the whole process was easy and we were able to leave the car with them while we went to the costco next door. I like bringing my car here. Young, energetic and very friendly male staff. Very polite and professional and they move really fast. I drop it off for an oil change, run next door to Costco and get some shopping done and by the time I'm done my car is ready. They check everything and so far it's been a no hard sales/hassle approach for other upgrades and services for my vehicle. They just offer it and if I say no they explain the situation and then we move on. I have a foreign vehicle, a VW beetle and that can get expensive. So far it's been a reasonably priced experience and I appreciate the staff here. Also I just realized they also cleaned the windows and washed the car if that gross winter debris. I just completed my oil change on my 2017 Toyota Highlander this past weekend. The last oil change was conducted at Jiffy Lube during the winter. The first problem was the oil filter cap was way too tight and I ended up having to crack it to get it off. The technician definitely didn't torque it to specifications when replacing the filter. Additionally the oil drain plug was missing the gasket when I removed it...not sure how it didn't leak for a few months. This ended up costing me an additional 50.00 to correct with aftermarket parts (not including my oil change supplies). If able, I recommend changing your oil on your own for a job done right. read more

Brought my car in for a standard oil change on a Saturday afternoon. The wait was a bit long (plan for like an hour and a half), but they have free wifi as well as coffee and water. The waiting area was clean and Daniel, the manager, personally assisted me in inspecting my vehicle. He even helped me find a discount which ended up getting me $10 off! I had oil changed with them for the first time and it will be the last. After oil changed, the next day I'm glad I went out and drove my car for a while because I almost got stranded. They didn't make sure everything is closed tight so the oil leaked and my screen said oil is low! If I didn't have had this happened sooner I would have skip a work day. The worst part is they never even gave me compensation like refund for their mistake which could have worsen my car with big damages to it. The Samoan supervisor was a joke. Also, their prices cost more than other shops.. Jiffy Lube in this area must be avoided if you don't value your car. read more

After a 5,000 mile jaunt from Michigan, we were in need of service. The local dealer of our brand of truck jerked us around on their promise of a prompt oil change, so we took our business elsewhere. And we're glad we did. The folks at this franchise provided courteous, quick service minus any upsell or hustle. It was only then that they were trying to service my truck as a diesel instead the regular gas truck that I have... which was weird. Still waiting as I type this review. Anyone who has ever had their car serviced knows that technicians are not to work on the car until a price quote has been given and agreed to by the customer. Apparently this Jiffy Lube does not follow this very standard industry rule which is why I will never set foot in one again. Today I came to Jiffy Lube on Bragaw with the intentions of getting a basic oil change. To preface this story, I am a young woman from out of state, I drove to Alaska from Seattle and needed an oil change before driving back home. When I arrived at Jiffy Lube I told the technician I was interested in an oil change so he had me pull up and escorted me inside and told me to wait inside and someone would be with me shortly. About 15 minutes later, a different technician came inside and told me he had to finish up with a few more cars and then he would come check me in and give me a price quote. About 20 minutes after that the same man came in and said he was ready to check me in. He started going through his check list of things that may need done on my car and I politely declined and said "I'd just like the oil change today, I just had my car fully serviced with my mechanic in Seattle". He continued to recommend services beyond the oil change though and quoted me a price of about $250, which I was very surprised about. I said " I only want the oil change". The man then began to explain that it was required by law for me to have my coolant changed to Alaska's temperature standards. I don't know a lot about cars but that sounded beyond fishy to me considering during the summer Anchorage and Seattle temperatures are generally comparable. Beyond that to change my coolant was over $100 so I simply said "I don't want to do that I only want the oil change." The technician was visibly frustrated with me at this point because I wasn't interested in having my coolant replaced with "Alaska grade coolant" even though he even admitted my coolant was already full. So then my total for the oil change was still going to be $100ish dollars which I was still not happy about so I asked " is there any cheaper grade oil? I've never paid near that amount for an oil change." To which he responded , " Alaska is very expensive." He then explained that with the cheapest oil my car could take, would cost me $79.99. I said " Oh, Okay I didn't realize it would be so much more expensive here, I've never paid more than $50 at home, so I am not going to get that service today, thank you for your time." He then told me "No, you have to pick one, we already emptied your oil pan." I stared at him for a few moments in disbelief as I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Being the only customer left in the building, and being a young female I didn't really know how to respond. My instinct was to get mad and question why he would do that, but being slightly intimidated by the technician I was dealing with and also being in shock I said "uh, OK" as I sat down and started to cry in the waiting room. I had never been treated so poorly by anyone before, let alone someone in a service position. Although i was annoyed about the price as well as the fact he was trying to up sell me on everything, it wasn't until he basically forced me to pay for a service I never agreed to that I was fully pissed off about this place. I would have been fine leaving without my service being done, as I was not aware that an oil change was so much more spendy in AK. But then his response was that 'you have to pick one we already dumped your oil' i was shocked.. I felt taken advantage of. A few minutes later a different technician came in to charge me, I just wanted to leave so I paid and left without saying much of anything. Once I was given what my price quote was I should have had the opportunity to leave. They should not have touched anything under the hood until I had agreed to the price of a service, as happens at EVERY OTHER SHOP IN THE COUNTRY. That is like the biggest rule in this industry! You don't touch the car until the customer agrees to the service and the price. After reading other reviews it looks like this is the game this particular Jiffy Lube plays with its customers, Forcing people to pay for overpriced services by starting the service before they agree. Its not like i could have left as i had no oil in my car. Not cool, very fraudulent. Beyond disappointed in my service. read more

I have been here about 4-5 times and always right when it opens. I have never had a long wait and the staff has always been very friendly. I know a little something about cars and I have never had the sense that they try and get me to get more than what's needed. The waiting room is nice and clean. A keurig coffee machine, free refrigerated bottled water, TV, and good magazine collection will keep you entertained while you wait. I will continue to give them my business. I drove to this location because the price was cheaper than South Anchorage and still used a $10 off coupon that I printed at home. I arrived 30 minutes after they opened, the workers took me right away and explained their different services before they pulled my car in. They showed me where the coffee and water was, and I found a TV show for my three-year-old. Even though they were done in 15 minutes we stayed so my child could watch the end of her program. I called the day prior saying I needed a full list of manufacturer recommendations on my vehicle since I'm over 100,000 on my Tacoma. The guy who answered the phone was so nice! He was like "omg yes! Bring it in! You gotta get this done before winter!" He sounded enthusiastic and helpful, not like he hated his job and begrudgingly answered the phone and my questions. I showed up first thing this morning when they opened, everyone said good morning and they guy that answered the phone even figured out I was the one that called and also said good morning. I had a lot that needed doing, front/ rear differential, transfer case, spark plugs, oil change, fuel injectors, radiator, coolant, filters.... it was all done in about 2 hours. Everyone was super nice, super professional, and I just really felt like the "A-team" was working today. It set my whole day up for positivity and success, best experience I've ever had at Jiffy Lube on Bragaw. They even gave me a $50 discount because I replaced the front, rear, and transfer case fluid all at once instead of one at a time. For the amount of work they did, and how quickly it was done, I am super impressed. Excellent customer service. I was never left waiting and wondering.
