The Quality of the service here is the worst I have ever dealt with. An oil change that should have been super simple, became a nightmare. They essentially stuffed a rag into my oil filter, then said oh well, when I have to have it towed to another shop to have my vehicle fixed properly. Their arrogance on the whole matter is the most surprising this out of it. It will cost you significantly more (like your vehicle) going here than somewhere that can be trusted. I have to deduct a star because this place will not do ANYTHING other than change oil, it seems. I requested they check an engine light once, they didn't. I requested they check my wipers once, they didn't. (my wipers are falling apart) They did not refill my wiper fluid once. They are INSANELY quick at changing oil, I just wish they'd take a couple minutes to look into my other car issues. read more

By far the fastest oil changes in town. And honest business. I went in last time and was told I came back too soon- they just filled up my washer fluid and sent me on my way (no cost) with a new sticker letting me know the exact mileage to come back at. The time before that I went on my lunch hour break and the whole thing took 7 MINUTES. (I was watching the clock of course, I was on lunch). Funny service guys too. I will always go here. read more

This place has to be the worst place to get your oil changed. They will mess up a simple oil change and them when your car is broken because of they WON'T back up their work. I wouldn't ever go here again or recommend this place to ANYONE!! The managers don't know what's going on and when I did ask to see the owner he "WALLY" could NOT be found! The best place to get an oil change in Anchorage. I pulled in the bay and a mechanic gave me options on type of oil (I prefer synthetic oil) and of course it's full service with topping off all fluids. The guy seems very knowledgeable and great customer service. It took about 10-15 minutes for my oil change. I have been looking for a decent place to get a quick oil change in Anchorage and I think I have found one. I don't usually rate places with five stars, but my "No Frills" experience at Qwik Lube did it for me. read more

Guys here are really quick. I got my oil change in about 10 minutes! They spotted my pulling into the parking in and immediately started checking for my maintenance needs. I pulled into the garage, and got checked In within a minute or two. The garage was clean, etc. The lobby had tons of magazines, TV on, and bathrooms. I used to come here exclusively, but I think there was a change in ownership in the last year and I won't be going back. My fiancé took my car for me for a tire changeover and they gave it back a mess--dirt all over the freshly shampooed rugs, the seat, shifter, and steering wheel. My tires also aren't to be filled over 34PSI and we checked them at home tonight and they were all filled to 36PSI. When he got the keys back he said thank you and the employee just looked at him and walked away. read more

Worst place ever for an oil change! Bad enough they were expensive, but even worse than that was when my skid plate wasn't secured correctly. It started dragging a few hours into my trip. Luckily a trucker stopped to help me. It was only secured with one bolt/ clip. Never again will I go there. Stay away! read more

Nice guys here, and the girl at the front desk was super friendly. I was the only customer, so there were two or three guys working on the car, and I got out in probably 10 minutes. It was a little pricier than usual for an oil change, even with the filter (which one of the guys was surprised it was so expensive, but after looking up my specific year and model, the going rate was around what they charged me), and it came to around $80. They offer free top-offs whenever you want. I didn't really feel scammed either, like I did when I went to a chain; these guys printed out the "recommendations" for services, and showed me stuff in my car that needed attention, but I didn't feel like I was being pressured to make a huge financial decision. I know it's stupid to get defensive, but I feel some mechanics try to pressure females and presume that we have no understanding about cars, and I totally didn't get this vibe off of the guys here. I asked some advice for a long road trip, and (who I presume was) the head mechanic advised me on the crucial services should I only chose one. I didn't get the ominous "If you don't do this $700 service RIGHT. NOW. your car will splode and you'll be trapped and terrible things will happen to you!!11!!1!!!" like I did from one of the corporate places. Well, sad face for me, when my car was totaled a few days later, so bye-bye $80 and RIP Toyota :( but at least I know who I'll be coming to again when new car needs a change, and I'll likely order other services from them as well. I don't have a problem spending a little extra money if the service is low-pressure, the mechanics are nice, and I'd be supporting a local business. read more

Pleasantly surprised. I came in thinking I had a nail in my tire, causing a slow leak. The service associate could have very easily said he found the nail, and charged me the $40 for removing it. Instead, he explained that he could find no leak, and there was no charge for the service. I have been going to this Qwik Lube for 4+ years for oil and tire changes, and I like the way they do business. I've found my service station! read more

I always feel comfortable going to Quick Lube because, the truth is, I'm always greeted by every employee promptly with professionalism and with a smile. I observe employees interacting with other employees with respect and with a very efficient approach to taking care of us-the customer. They also let me know to stop by anytime for air or fluid checks! No charge! I do not have one negative thing to say because each unique experience I've had with quick lube has left me satisfied, so much so, that I almost look forward to going back! And best of all--one thing that sums up any businesses commitment to a customer is how CLEAN are the restrooms? And the boys at quick lube know how to keep the restroom nearly spotless for me! Being new to Anchorage I relied on the positive yelp reviews to find a good oil change facility and ended up choosing Qwik Lube. I rolled in and the fellow met me out front before I could even get out of the truck and had me pull straight into the bay. Within minutes I had picked a service and the two team members jumped right on it. It is more than any of those oil change chains, they greased everything underneath, changed the oil, checked all the fluids, looked for leaks and inspected everything and topped off what it needed. Not only was I in and out in no time, but received top quality oil and filter (Mobil 1 Synthetic), amazing professional service, and free coffee and popcorn while I waited! This is not the kind of place that gets you in the door and then tries to sell you a bunch of stuff that you don't need. I left feeling like I had just found the best possible place I could have gone to. I love my truck and baby it, and these folks made me feel like they did too. read more

Just passing through town on vacation, we too were looking for a reputable oil change shop that we could trust. After stopping at the Honda dealer who said it would take 45 minutes for an oil change and there were 3 people ahead of us (do the math- that is over a 2 hour wait for an oil change), we consulted Yelp and were not disappointed! read more
