If you get one thing here, get the savory muffin! It's one of the most delicious pastries I've ever had. I got one to start and I got another one immediately after because it really is that good. I forget what's in it other than a lot of veggies, but it's definitely worth the $6. Make sure you get it heated up! The service is super fast and friendly. This is the worst coffee place I've been to, so it really necessitates my writing a review and warning others. The chai latte I got was the worst I've gotten in a lifetime of ordering them around the country and world. It was watered down, with almost no flavor or spice. It actually made me feel ill and I had to toss it. It was expensive too- and they charge 1.25 extra for alt milks which is ridiculous. The place look unsanitary and it was extremely messy and not clean. There was even a used cutting board near public seating. The parking was difficult too. I do not recommend, I even had someone come up to me to ask where I got the drink from at Golden Gardens and I said to never to try Jibe - try the Kite Cafe instead. Awful experience here. read more

I only really stop by here when I'm too tired from my run and need a caffeine boost. They're a nice local coffee spot with food. They typically have other folks in there with their laptop, but they're not super packed. It's nice and quaint. They're quick with the orders, but might need a reminder for your pastry purchase. I had to remind the cashier twice I ordered a pastry. They have water, but they have these super tiny cups. Be mindful of their hours because they change as the season gets colder and darker! read more

Last weekend, I brought my sailing students to The Jibe to warm up after teaching sailing in the driving sleet and snow. This place is the BEST! I'm addicted to thier freshly baked everyday muffins. Idk what they do but I've never had another muffin like them. The apple cinnamon gluten free ones are my go to. But I like to switch it up. Never have had a great experience here, I mostly come because it's basically the only option near shilshole. I have had burnt coffee, burnt soup, and slow service several times. Really dine here out of convenience and that's it unfortunately. While in Seatle, we stumbled into Jibe Espresso Bar at Shilshole Bay Marina. We went in for a late lunch/early dinner and everything about it was fantastic. We met the owners, Eric & Teresa who let us sample their incredible homemade soups. We decided upon the Vegetarian Chili, Split Pea and Chicken Coconut Curry soups along with a grilled cheese on sourdough bread. We also had a cold beer and then took in the scenery of the marina, even spying sea lions in the water. Stop in to see Eric and Teresa you'll have a delightful time like we did. read more

Just tried them out for the first time after hearing such great things about them from other Shilshole residents. I was happy with the options they offered however the barista making my drinks took so long that other orders place after mine came out first. Normally I wouldn't care to wait however the white mocha ordered wasn't stirred so the flavor was all at the bottom of the cup... pretty gross. My other drink (iced vanilla oat milk latte) was pretty average. I also ordered the breakfast burrito which tasted good but, is really small for $12 and the fact that they just warm it up. The level of service was just not warrant the cost of the trip. I'll probably find somewhere else for my next coffee run. read more

Not too my taste or needs to grow on you, I don't know. The coffee taste still should have pushed through. The only explanation I can think off is a second pull from the grounds. My family thinks this is absolutely one of the best places for breakfast sandwiches, muffins, and pretty much anything from the menu. They make everything in-house from scratch, and the quality is consistently very high. They even make their own syrups and almond milk from scratch. I paid about $5 for an egg, cheese and bacon brioche breakfast sandwich that was probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The same sandwich would fetch $12+ in a fancier shop or hotel. My daughter was treated to table-side tea service at our breakfast this morning. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Oh yeah -- their iced latte (my drink of choice) easily bests Starbucks and many of the nearby alternatives, and approaches the best in town. With that said, I know iced-lattes are probably not the best way to judge a coffee house's espresso. read more

I've always enjoyed coming here, and was hoping to get a mocha today. I drove down from Edmonds to take a walk at Shilshole, but due to circumstances arrived three minutes late. There were still people sitting in the restaurant, and the staff didn't seem busy as they were chatting, but they were unable to make me a cup of coffee. read more

This place is nice and conveniently located in the Shilshole Bay Marina. Coffee is good and I've also had the avocado toast which was excellent! The outdoor seating is nice to sit at in the warmer months. Enjoy a nice walk with a great view and stop on in! read more

I got into a pretty bike accident a few months ago. Fell on my wrist and my knee was completely busted and I was a mess, crying and needed help. This place gave me a first aid kit. Different employees are working this time, which may be the big difference. I ordered a bacon grilled cheese sandwich again (even burnt, that bacon and cheese calls to me...). They had the grill on the wrong setting and burnt my sandwich, but instead of serving it to me that way (like last time), they promptly started cooking a new one. They also gave me two cookies as an apology (still warm and gooey, I might add). Overall MUCH better customer service and attitudes. Bravo! read more

In all fairness, I only sampled their espresso (double tall nonfat), but IMO a coffee shop is only as good as their coffee. I inquired about the source of their beans, and was told it was a boutique roaster from Portlandia, and they were the only guys outside of OR selling it. Bleh. Unremarkable and insipid roast. My wife complained that it lacked complexity. If I were to devise a coffee for people who hate the taste of dark-roasted (AKA espresso) coffee this would be my product. Makes Kona seem smokey by comparison. I will note that they have a cool space, with cool decor and details, and for that alone, they garner one star. They're situated in a relative coffee frontier for Seattle, with, I imagine, a captive market of liveaboards at Shilshole, and local yacht brokerage types. The food might be out of this world. Alas, I may never know; the possibility is not enough to coax me to make the minor detour to Jibe to drink their coffee. I'm going to fire up my 'spresso machine right now to get the sour taste out of my mouth. TLDR: unless your caffeine headache demands it, seek better. read more

Great coffee shop at Shilshole marina. It's cute, small, the lines generally aren't long, and they have rather good food too. If you're looking for a small lunch, their sandwiches and paninis are reasonably priced ($5-6) and tasty. They take 15-20 min to heat up. Be aware their hours vary throughout the year - in the winter when fewer people are heading to Golden Gardens they have shorter hours. read more
