We had the stir fried spicy shredded potatoes, crispy shredded beef with lime sauce, honey walnut shrimp, chicken with black truffle soup dumpling, griddle cooked spicy shrimp, spicy chicken wontons, and chicken with rum and garlic sauce. The interior was nice and they had iPads for ordering which was convenient. The service on the other hand needs work. We ordered multiple dishes and the food was dropped off at the table, besides that no staff checked in on us afterwards. This place is amazing. I agree with another yelp reviewer that this place has the best soup dumplings I have ever had (including Din Fai Tung in Taipei). We also enjoyed the free spicy cabbage to start, the sautéed loofah with edamame and mushroom, the fried chili shrimp (a tad overcooked but still so flavorful and delicious), and the dungeness crab - the meat was so incredibly tender (they were out so they ran out and bought a fresh one just for us). The only misses were the jellyfish (way too hard) and the chrysanthemum tea. Very long good looking menu so can't wait to come back and try some other dishes! So happy we found this place! All I know is everything tasted really good and service was super quick and friendly. For my friend's birthday, they gave her a slice of cake (which is also on the menu for $13) and sang at our table. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, black truffle soup dumplings, and the half peking duck. We loved the pineapple addition to the peking deck! I've had lots of peking duck in my life, but never with pineapple and it was absolutely delicious. So tender, juicy, crispy. What more could you want for peking duck? As for the soup dumplings, both were good! I would pass on the truffle soup dumplings felt like it was interesting flavor, but not particularly flavorful in general. If I were to comment on something, I would say that they should not hold back on the spiciness. If they say that a dish is spicy, it should have that bit of pinch in the tongue. Came here for my mom's birthday which was noted in my reservation. I came here with high expectations given the high ratings, especially on Google, and left slightly disappointed. The ambiance is nice. For a Michelin rated location, sure, the decor fits the theme. It's a modern, upscale twist on traditional Chinese cuisine. It's tucked away, inconspicuous and unknowing to the naked eye. Easy to order through the iPad and someone comes to check to make sure that your order is correct before it goes to the kitchen. Ordered some simple basic dishes and they were just okay. Speedy delivery. Taste was okay. The sauteed vermicelli wasn't bad. The noodle consistency was great. The cripsy beef with lime sauce is a unique take on peking pork chop. It was food and definitely a dish to mix with other carbs. The soup dumplings were a disappointment. Size was kind of standard, skin was medium thickness (it's preferred to be thin) and the filling was mediocre. Flavor lacked considering it was crab. To end the evening, we ordered the creme brulee to celebrate and this was the most disappointing. It came still partially frozen in the center. The custard wasn't smooth and was near a cake-like center. I couldnt get over how icy the center of the creme brulee was. I wasn't going to raise a ruckus and ruin the birthday celebration. Service was standard like other restaurants. Not sure what happened to the standout service that's noted in past reviews but we certainly didnt. Overall, it's a fancy dining spot. Came in on a Wednesday night with party of 3 and had a small 10 minute wait. We got the steamed pork and crab soup dumplings, Dandan noodles, Sliced pork belly w/mashed garlic sauce, Braised beef brisket w/ potato, and stir fried string beans. My favorite were probably the pork belly and braised beef brisket. Both the meats were really tender and the braised sauce on the beef was super flavorful. Even the potato was flavorful. The soup dumplings were good, but nothing special that stood out from other soup dumplings. The Dandan noodles were also just okay. I've had better more flavorful Dandan noodles so would probably skip this one next time. The string beans were my least favorite. Qualms: ordering redundant (order on tablet; human comes to confirm; things may/may not come as requested, so extra stress-inducing due to more work.) I had dinner at Jiang Nan recently for a friend's birthday dinner. I'm pretty sure her husband had made a reservation because they seated us as soon as 5 out of the 6 of us showed up. I like that their menu is on an iPad and there are pictures of every dish. I'm a very visual eater, so this was super helpful. You can put dishes in the cart and then place the order on the iPad too. This is also a great functionality because it's always hard to remember all the dishes you want to order when you're in a large group. For our table of 6, we ordered: - 2 whole Peking Ducks - 1 of the duck bones in soup - 1 of the duck bones stir fried - Cold vinegar jelly fish - Walnut shrimp - Garlic string beans Everything was excellent. The ducks were really good - lots of meat - so much meat. The walnut shrimp was very flavorful as well with large shrimps. I do think service is a bit lackluster. I had the lychee mangosteen martini (I think) and it was SO GOOD! We only came for a small snack so we shared the chicken truffle soup dumplings (amazing), the waygu tomato soup dumplings (great but not as tasty as the chicken truffle), the duck spring rolls (just ok but I don't love duck), and the vegetable fried rice (so simple but so perfect!). Also got the pineapple beer mainly to look at it, it also tastes more like juice than beer - is a fun treat. Ambiance (5/5) - Presentation is the name of the game here. Interiors are dark and sleek, very impressive. Not too loud. Decor is tasteful, mostly golds / silvers but not too bling. Service (4/5) - Wasn't that busy when we were there, half the restaurant was empty. Pretty easy to flag down someone whenever we needed something. Alcohol can't be ordered on the tablet. I'll start with the service, it's amazingly fast, once you put the order in the tablet someone will come right away to ask if any allergy in your party then read the order back to make sure it's the right one. The only thing is we really didn't understand the server what he was saying. Food is decent amount of serving. Not for sharing though. Just some of what we order like the pork with cabbage, it's more of the cabbage than the pork side. My daughter ask if we order just the cabbage. The other is some meat and more of chili pepper side.
