Came on a Friday around 2 PM for lunch and was happy they seated us in a booth. The restaurant has a modern, stylish interior that does a great job of elevating the traditional Chinese dining experience. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch by the entrance where guests can help themselves to ice water or iced tea while waiting to be seated. One small suggestion would be to provide wet naps, especially for guests ordering the Peking duck since you're using your hands to assemble the wraps. The biggest highlight wasn't actually the duck itself--it was the ultra-thin pancake wrappers and the option to add pineapple. I'd never had duck wrapped with pineapple before, but the subtle sweetness and extra moisture made each bite even better. Another unexpected favorite was the cabbage in herbal chicken broth. They bring bowls so you can ladle the broth and cabbage yourself, and it was incredibly comforting with a rich, sweet umami flavor. It ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the meal. I also highly recommend the soup dumplings. Unfortunately, several of the truffle dishes were already sold out, so I tried the Braised rice with Black Truffle and Mushroom and Foie Gras instead. The rice had a cheesy texture, and because everything was mixed together, the foie gras didn't really stand out. Looking back, I would spend the $35. We also ordered the braised pork belly, even though our waiter mentioned we probably ordered too much already. He was right--we probably didn't need it. The pork belly leaned sweeter than I prefer and wasn't particularly memorable. One tip that many first-time visitors might miss: before paying on the iPad, you can sign up for their rewards program by entering your phone number. It appears you can earn points from your meal that can be redeemed for complimentary dishes on future visits. It's a nice perk, but it's tucked away at the end of the menu. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would definitely come back for the duck, soup dumplings, and the baby cabbage in herbal chicken broth. My only suggestion would be for the staff to spend a little more time introducing first-time guests to the menu highlights and explaining features like the rewards program and ordering system. Overall happy to see an elevated Chinese restaurant experience in this neighborhood. IG: Jubes111

Cabbage in chicken soup

5 stars for great service. The interior is not as swanky as I expected, but I guess, paint it black! The Jasmine cocktail was very attractive and had a taste that belied its high alcohol contact. The spicy pickled cabbage was a nice start, they just put it on the table after we ordered. I wish there was more. We had the crab/pork soup dumplings, cabbage in soup and spicy lamb with watercress. Everything was very good, but not amazing. The cabbage would have been better if they were able to keep the soup warm while we ate it. If I go back, I'll try the duck. Its what most people there ordered.

Came here for a very early Mother's Day dinner. We made a reservation for 6 and got there promptly, and were seated. The restaurant wasn't busy when we got there, leading us to question if a reservation was needed but as time passed, more and more people came. We ordered a few dishes, with the crispy beef being the item I looked forward to the most. We also got the wagyu rice bowl, beef brisket and Xiao long baos. Everything was pretty good, with the beef being my favorite. Very similar to Peking pork but a bit more tangy.

A little on the pricey side for Chinatown, but it is Michelin recommended. Menu is extensive and ordered on a tablet. Service is friendly and quick. Full bar. Beautiful place with clean bathrooms. Make a reservation unless arriving early. Great food. The spicy cabbage given as you look over the menu is outstanding. If you want rice, you must order it separately. Yum!

Soup dumplings

Quick service, somewhat dark ambiance. You order with an iPad and the food comes out quickly despite how busy it was. But the time we arrived (630 dinner on a Monday), they were already out of their truffle soup dumplings, which was a bummer. We tried the pork soup dumplings and they were excellent; wish we could have gotten the soup dumpling tasting! Our favorite dish was the spicy szechuan fish, which came with a ton of glass noodles at the bottom (not obvious on the menu). We also tried the peking duck because that seemed to be their specialty, but I actually found the duck to be incredibly dry and felt like we got the scraps of the duck rather than actual meat. This was pretty disappointing so this the 3 star review. They should do better and not serve scraps of duck...

Cumin lamb
Elizabeth X.

Super yummy. The cumin lamb, loofah, stir fried cabbage, Peking duck were all great. We thought we were too full by the time our soup dumplings came, but those were also so good that we finished it all. We had a 15ish minute wait for a group of 4 walking in on a Saturday. Our table was the closest to the door, which kept letting cold air in whenever it was opened. I think we like the Flushing location slightly more taste-wise (seems like the menu might be different too), but this is a solid Chinatown option when you can't get out to Flushing.

I have no negative reviews for this location. The staff is friendly and attentive to my needs, and the food is delicious. The only comment I have is that the lighting is a bit too dark for me. I want to be able to see what I'm eating. Will definitely return.

Pecking Duck (Half Duck)
Ashia E.

I really enjoyed this place - I didn't have a single bad thing! I got the passion fruit drink, which came with a milk foam and tapioca pearls. It was sweet but strong! Worth the price. The pecking duck was really good - if you would've told me it was chicken, I'd believe you. The shrimp fried rice was delicious and fresh! The white rice had that nice stickiness to it. The chicken and eggplant was SO good. The string beans didn't make it home, they were so so good! Would for sure order it again. The service was good and the ambiance was casual but the resturant has a nice vibe.

Crispy shredded beef
Tasnim C.

Came here for a lunch with family and it was soo good. We ordered a lot of food and almost everything was delicious. We had the stir fried spicy shredded potatoes, crispy shredded beef with lime sauce, honey walnut shrimp, chicken with black truffle soup dumpling, griddle cooked spicy shrimp, spicy chicken wontons, and chicken with rum and garlic sauce. My favorites were: crispy shredded beef, honey walnut shrimp, and chicken with rum and garlic sauce. I could've done without the shredded potatoes and the chicken truffle soup dumpling. The service was great and everyone was super helpful. Highly recommend!

Shrimp fried rice

Every bite was delicious. The Wagyu soup Dumplings are a must. The greens were tasty and the duck was made and presented well. Service is on point and the location is unassuming for a Michelin level Chinese food spot. Price is high to match the quality so maybe not for everyone.

Fried Prawns

Heard great things about this place and their Peking duck and finally decided to come. We came during lunch time and the place wasn't too busy. The interior was nice and they had iPads for ordering which was convenient. The service on the other hand needs work. We ordered multiple dishes and the food was dropped off at the table, besides that no staff checked in on us afterwards. The food was ok, the duck wasn't the highlight of the dishes we had, but the tofu and the shrimp was pretty good. The cauliflower was also nicely made.

Fried shrimp - a tad overcooked but very flavorful
Tansy W.

This place is amazing. I agree with another yelp reviewer that this place has the best soup dumplings I have ever had (including Din Fai Tung in Taipei). We also enjoyed the free spicy cabbage to start, the sautéed loofah with edamame and mushroom, the fried chili shrimp (a tad overcooked but still so flavorful and delicious), and the dungeness crab - the meat was so incredibly tender (they were out so they ran out and bought a fresh one just for us). The only misses were the jellyfish (way too hard) and the chrysanthemum tea. Very long good looking menu so can't wait to come back and try some other dishes! So happy we found this place! It's maybe now my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Manhattan.

Peking Duck in the middle and Stir-Fried Pea Sprouts in the front
Li W.

My coworkers and I came by on a Monday for lunch, and there were plenty of seats available at noon. We ordered: 1. Half a Peking Duck - delicious! 2. Sautéed Tofu with Crab Meat 3. Stir-Fried Pea Sprouts 4. Stir-Fried Chinese Eggplant in Spicy Garlic Sauce with Minced Meat 5. Stir-Fried Loofah with Shimeji Mushroom & Edamame 6. Seafood Fried Rice We enjoyed everything, the food came out surprisingly quickly (within 10mins it felt like). My personal favorites were the Peking Duck, Stir-Fried Chinese Eggplant, which was super flavorful, and Stir-Fried Pea Sprouts, cooked so freshly and crispy. The food tasted more delicious to me at this location than at the Flushing location, but who actually knows, haha. Would recommend! Very solid Chinese food.
