Sorry, not sorry, but this place is not it. Considered a loved local sandwich chain, Jetties boasts in having the 'best sandwiches in DC' - I was in the area, so I decided to go there during the lunch rush to grab a sandwich to go. I ordered: +the Nobadeer - a sandwich filled with roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo on a sourdough bread +made this a combo, so I got the Cape Cod chips and a canned soda The sandwich was just awful. The sourdough 'bread' was extremely stale and dry; not sure how this was even possible, as it was the lunch rush and you'd think that the items that are being turned out will be fresh? The 'roasted turkey' slices were dried out, and I was surprised that the description didn't say 'jerky' instead - these seemed to be not fresh or maybe not sealed well when placed in the fridge, as the edges of the 'meat' were hard and chewy. The stuffing was bland and a bit too mushy, and the cranberry with the mayo made the sandwich a little runny, which results in some parts of the bread becoming a bit too soggy (to the point it made holes in the parchment that was being used to wrap the sandwich). The prices for the sandwiches are on the steep end, but if the quality matched the cost, it would have been a different situation. If you order a combo, make sure you pick up the drink/chips on your own. You'll have to order via the 3 kiosks that are available, and then you just wait for your check number to be called. Items will be set on the counter. There are some seating inside as well as some tables for al fresco dining. There's limited restricted street parking available around the area. Really not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from, but seems a little sus. Probably one of the worst sandwiches I've had. No dice, Jetties. +stale, dried-out bread +old, dried-out deli meats +bland ingredients +limited restricted street parking available

Just stop by one of my FAVORITE places. Ordered me a Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Onion, Tomato, Swiss on Sourdough Bread. Food is always good!

I was at this place with few of my pickleball buddies. It was recommended by one of them as it's their usual sandwich place after a nice game of pickleball. It's a self serve type of restaurant. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with pickles. It was very delicious. Quantity is not much, but perfect for the price I paid. It was very juicy and the meat was very tender and flavorful. Since it's self serve place, there's not much to talk about their service. Ambiance is great. It's a combination of indoor and outdoor place. Nice outdoor patio was just perfect on a nice day. I ordered sorbet for the dessert. It was very good. Highly recommend their place if you're craving for nice sandwiches in the DC area.

I've driven past here probably a hundred times headed to the hospital and finally decided to stop for a quick lunch. My husband and I were both starving after a busy morning, so we were happy to walk in and see there wasn't a line and it wasn't too busy yet. We checked out the menu and went to the counter to order. We both decided to get hot sandwiches - he got one that was basically like Thanksgiving in sandwich form and I got the Dreamland. We also ordered some potato chips. Both sandwiches were ready after a 5-7 minute wait and we were ready to dig in. At first, my husband said his was okay, but later after finishing the 2nd half, he said it was really good. Mine was okay - I did like the turkey and cheese, and thought I'd like the fig spread, but it was a little too sweet for me. I also should have gotten more fixings, like avocado and spinach or something. The size of both though was pretty good - ate half for lunch and the other as part of dinner. Overall, it was a convenient spot to check out near the hospital/university.

Jetties has expanded, now there's 3 other locations in addition to this one. I'm not surprised! It gets crowded here almost as soon as it opens. Sammies are always fresh and well made. Tried one of the soups they've added. The New England clam chowder was below par, chewy. Due to its popularity, the wait has gotten to be longer than I like however it's still a reliable place to get a marvelous sammie.

Amazing sandwich shop! Can't believe we just discovered this spot but Jetties is it. We stopped by this weekend and it's in a cute DC neighborhood near Nova. I got the polpis salad and my husband got the galley sandwich, both as is, but both so good! The flavors just compliment each other so well. My salad was so refreshing but not overly bitter with the veggie taste. We ate inside but there was plenty of outdoor seating as well. Very cute spot! Definitely will be back to check out more of their menu and they have ice cream/milkshakes as well.

The homemade pasta, like calamarata with prawns, mussels, and clams, and rich bolognese, shines with fresh ingredients and perfect execution. Service feels personal and attentive, with staff like Giovanni and Alex decanting wines and splitting plates seamlessly. Don't miss the tiramisu or daily specials such as osso buco--everything pairs beautifully with their outstanding wine list. The intimate vibe, blond wood decor, and Neapolitan pizza make it ideal for dates or groups (book ahead!). A must-visit for upscale Italian without pretension.

I wanted the pear salad but don't like Gorgonzola so I asked if we could substitute it, otherwise I'd go for another salad. Our server offered goat cheese, which I love, so I said yes. Complementary focaccia was served but it was room temperature and seemed like it'd been sitting out, so the texture wasn't great. One friend got her salad, and after a while, they tried to serve my other friend her lasagna but she asked where our other two salads were. The servers looked at each other confused and took the lasagna back, then our main server came back and said they couldn't find the goat cheese so they forgot to follow up about if burrata worked instead. That was fine with me and we got our salads. (Side note, I'd recommend a different salad - the pear wasn't for me and the burrata didn't work well with the salad, plus it was a pricey substitution, maybe $5?) Unfortunately, and I regret not taking a photo, I took a bite and bit on something hard and was concerned - I took it out and it was a pea-sized piece of what I think was porcelain. I told the server about it and he said he'd tell the chef. He never followed up, and although I don't expect anything from the exchange, an apology or follow up would've been nice. We all got our mains after wrapping up our salads and we could tell the lasagna was kept in the oven, which is fine, but it was slightly burnt and super hot (my friend had to wait quite a while for it to be tolerable to eat). I had gotten the linguini alle vongole ("Seaside favorite with Little Neck Clams, Garlic, White Wine, Calabrian Peppers, Parsley & Breadcrumbs") but found it to be a bit oily. Overall a disappointing experience. The place was completely full when we left and I assume most there are return customers. It's cute inside and a decent location but with everything that went wrong, I can't recommend this place in good faith.

They were a few left, so we got an orange blossom oat toffee cookie. It was perfectly balanced with floral notes, tanginess from the orange, and caramel-y sweetness from the toffee. We also appreciated the lattes: halawa honey and baklawa mocha. Never thought to add tahini to my coffee (halawa) and the rose and orange blossom notes were nice touches to the baklawa mocha. You may add sweetener yourself to get it to your preferred level of sweetness. I definitely would love to come back, particularly early, to be able to sit down, relax, and have a slow meal with a latte and a book. (That and to see more variety at the pastry window!!)

Quality of food (and drink) wise, there's truly no notes, from the pitas to pastries and coffee. Now that does not mean there are no notes. Firstly, pricing, coffee and pastry is fair but the sandwiches, $20+ for half a pita is absurd, not even getting both halves of the pita. And then the experience is just so frustrating, there is absolutely no flow of people. The space itself is well curated and has some great seating available, but due to how crowded it gets, it's a truly horrendous experience at times. And while I would say they could have a cap on how many people are allowed inside at once i feel that's a semi unrealistic implementation (though i genuinely wonder if they're over capacity at times). A bit easier to address would be the flow. They have an enter and exit door, but folk keep ignoring the signs, idk how but come on this needs to be fixed. It also does not help that the exit door opens inwards into the crowded restaurant so it's at times nearly impossible to open the door as there's a crowd or even a table and chairs in the way. They're fairly efficient in making the food but there's still a bit of a wait, and the space to wait is not very large despite the constant flow of people so there's always a large mob, and many have to wait awkwardly in between tables and seated customers. Drinks are served and called out separately from food, which makes sense; and they're given without kids so you can add things, also logical. However, the sugar, syrups, milk, and lids and all on the other counter, so you have to cross the counter where food is being picked up and through the mob in order to get to a lid, just praying that you don't get bumped and spill. The food and drink are fantastic, though overpriced for the portions. But something needs to be done about the experience , whether it's the layout, workflow, capacity, whatever, something needs to happen. I mean i will probably go back but I'd recommend getting it as takeout so you can actually enjoy the food, but i cannot say it's an enjoyable experience inside.

The service we received from her was by far the best service I have received in a very long time here in the DMV. She was patient, made suggestions on some tasty meals but most importantly, had a great personality that you can tell is authentic & genuine which made a simple girls brunch that much more memorable. Now as the food.....I'll just say this, DELICIOUS! My friends and I shared different items on the menu for brunch from hors d'oeuvres to main course down to dessert. When I say EVERYTHING was super tasty I seriously mean it. We had the mussels, pasta, sea bass, and more in which the chef made each platter with a unique twist for each. All this to say is you must try this cafe. I had to write this review because it truly deserves a 5+ star for its meals/drinks, ambiance but to me most importantly the service.
