Pros: Jessi is a skilled massage therapist and I have gone to her for years! Cons: You have to pay for parking or park in the free 2 hour lot several blocks away, the parking attendant is usually in a bad mood, the building is VERY OLD and run down (I think it's actually haunted), and with all the one way streets downtown it's difficult to get to. What happened with me is when I mentioned the above problems/concerns she promptly told me to go somewhere else and refunded (part) of my money. Beware: Don't be honest with her because she doesn't like it and will not tolerate it. What is sad is that I actually thought Jessi and I had a good working relationship! I thought I knew her, but obviously I don't. For all of these reasons, I do not recommend her. read more

I had a weird experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. On my first visit, I thought the massage was good and Jessi seemed very warm and friendly - so much so that I purchased a 3 visit package and gave them out as gifts to my mother and a female friend. I had another massage, and was happy up to that point. On my third appointment, Jessi cancelled on me citing a "scheduling error". I was a little upset, but hey things happen so I re-scheduled, and massage was fine. Fast forward to my fourth appointment, and she cancelled on me again, this time at the last minute (same day of the appointment). Now maybe this was just very bad luck, but for some reason I got the sense that she is either maybe uncomfortable with straight males (and no I'm not some sleaze) and prefers females, or maybe she is just flaky. I thought her and I had developed a pretty good/friendly rapport (heck at that point she met and knew my mother), but after cancelling on me twice in a two-month period it made me think something was weird. Say what I might though, this girl is POPULAR! I don't know if it's all her or lack of competition, but she is booked a month out. That's part of the problem though. If you had a tough week, going through something, pulled muscle, whatever, you're not going to be able to book her to help with that issue. Instead, you are going to have to book at least a month in advance, and hope that date and time ends up working out well for your given week. For this reason, I found it extra frustrating dealing with a cancellation on her part, when I have to adjust for her busy schedule. Last thing I'll add is that for me, rapport/relationships are everything, even in business. I only deal with businesses that appreciate a good customer, the same way that I appreciate a good business. I don't want anyone to kiss my ass and tell me feel-good-isms. I want someone to be genuine and personable in a sincere way. Maybe my expectations are high, but that's me. For some reason, the rapport didn't seem to develop. read more

Wow! I am not a newbie to massages, but this is certainly a different type of massage than I'm used to receiving. First off, her office is this tiny little space, but it does the job. Jessi has made it feel quite homey. Her table is super comfy and she uses all these nice smelling things to make you feel relaxed. Awesome! Then, there's the technique. I'm used to getting a little relaxing massage that helps with the tension, but only temporarily. Jessi really gets in there and gives my muscles the pounding they need to really loosen up! Though I understand that concept, during the massage there were times when I was wishing for my wimpy little relaxing massage. In fact, she had to remind me to breathe at one point! This woman, and the service she provides, falls under that category of wanting to keep her a secret. Her location couldn't be more convenient, literally right around the corner from my abode. I love her little spa like studio, which offers a sense of warmth and is still pretty professional. And, then there's her skills. This therapist has SKILLS! After we were done, I asked, "So - has anyone ever asked for a 4 hour massage?" To which she replied, "I've had someone ask for 3, but after 2 hours they felt like they were done." Wow! Jessi is an amazingly intuitive body worker. Her hands are strong, pressure is perfect, technique is flawless and you can feel the heart connection coming through her every move. She's got moves I've never seen (and I'm in the field) that melted me on the spot. I especially love her attention to detail... adding warmth, covering you up as she moves along, placing the headrest under your neck when you flip right side up... those little things really add up! She's lovely in addressing tissue issues (tension, trigger points) instead of ignoring them, like many practitioners do. She goes in and targets those areas, spending extra time to soothe and smooth those stuck tissues out. I would have paid way more than she's asking for. My husband got me an appointment after I had a month of traveling for work. The office may not be in the fanciest of buildings, but Jessi has set it up really nicely and it is nice and cozy. She is super nice and friendly and has some really good deals. For an hours massage, and a really good one, I would pay more than what she charges. What a great, relaxing and soothing experience. Jessi is a great massage therapist that knows what you want and looking for. The place is organize and have the "homey" feel to it. The music makes you want to just lay there all day. As a Personal Trainer/Group INstructor, I live a very active life training and teaching classes on top of my high intensity training for myself. I had a prenatal massage today at 37 weeks pregnant and it was AMAZING! I've been wanting to book one but didn't want to go just anywhere based on being so far along and the risks. Jessi was recommended to me and I was very happy with the experience! Jessi is amazing. I love her style and thought process. She is a teeny-tiny girl, but man is she strong! I have an old work injury that REALLY gets to me from time to time, and she gets the job done. She is also really into homeopathic remedies- aromatherapy, quartz massage (I think thats what it's called lol) etc. I always feel literally rejuvenated when I leave her. She is also so nice and happy. The very first time she massaged me, I was an emotional mess. And where as I normally stay silent during my massages, I was practically in tears... and she was like a masseuse and a therapist in one! She just let me blab and blab and even opened up about herself and made me feel just so comfortable. I like the shop she is in, however, parking can be a bit of a mess. The long story short is that I had a really terrific experience with Jessi! Details: I was running late and got no flak from Jessi which was great because I was already feeling harassed...
