Literally the BEST prices in San Diego. You won't find the same plants here every time you visit, so I try to come often to see what's new for the week. His string succulents are overflowing, full and healthy!

I cannot recommend dealing with these people. Had an absolutely horrendous experience with these people at the farmers market in SD on Sat. My girlfriend was buying a plant. I had our small dog directly next to me the entire time. No slack in his leash whatsoever. He also had just peed at home 5 minutes prior (we live next door to farmers market in little Italy) ......This guy in a green flannel comes up and gets literally in my face and says "your dog peed on my plant" literally pointing to a puddle like 12 feet away. I told him that was impossible and he literally used profanity and said get the f!ck out of here and was very aggressive. This while we are customers! It is absolutely impossible that it was our dog as he was directly by my side. There are literally hundreds of dogs walking by. Went back and the younger guy that sold us the plant claimed it was his dad. Horrible people. Never again. Avoid. Especially the guy in the pic. Mean and out of line.

First time here today and what a hidden gem!! So many great plants and succulents for great reasonable prices!! If you're in the neighborhood visiting Cordova gardens then you MUST make a stop here, less expensive, great selection and sweet employee/owners! I can't wait to go back!!

“I came here for their selection of pothos and their selection (plant size and health) were excellent and the prices could not be beat even by the big box stores.”

This is located off of Piraeus Street that runs along the Northbound 5fwy. We entered Piraeus from Leucadia Boulevard. The commercial entrance came up first, then the regular customer entrance, thanks to their clear signs. It was mid-afternoon on a Thursday in January, so maybe that's why the nursery lot was kind of empty the further we went in. At the front area though, there were poinsettia trees still in bloom. I didn't even know that they can grow into trees (they don't last very long after the holidays in my care, lol), so I was actually fascinated to see them so big. They also had a fenced area with 2 small goats, possibly pygmy goats...so cute and friendly. Considering the cold weather, they had a good selection of healthy cacti, potted flowers and plants at reasonable prices (i.e., 4" pot of succulent $5.99, 6pk annuals/perennials $4.99). The bigger shrubs like hydrangea and hebe coed were more expensive ($26.99 and $28.99, respectively), but beautifully kept. We had no plans to garden any time soon so didn't plan on buying anything, but ended up getting some plant accessories, including a car-shaped ceramic planter that kiddo really liked, lol. Service was okay. We were the only ones there and took our time browsing, but no one asked if we needed help. The woman at the cash register wasn't rude, but not particularly friendly either.

From the…read moreplanning process through the final installation, the level of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail was exceptional. A special thank you to Codie and the entire landscaping crew - truly are the best services I have ever had done with my home. Codie took the time to understand exactly what I was trying to accomplish with my backyard and made sure every detail was handled correctly. The landscaping crew was equally impressive--professional, hardworking, respectful of my property, and incredibly meticulous with the placement and installation of every plant. You could tell they genuinely cared about how the finished project looked, not simply about getting the job done. The end result exceeded my expectations. They helped transform my backyard into something I had envisioned for a long time, and seeing it finally come together has been incredibly rewarding. They truly helped make my backyard a dream. I sincerely appreciate Codie and the entire Moon Valley team for the pride they took in my project and the quality of service they provided. When someone treats your home and landscaping as if it were their own, that deserves recognition. For anyone in San Diego looking for professional nursery, planting, or landscape installation services, I would recommend Moon Valley Nurseries without hesitation. Based on my experience, Codie and this team set the standard for what professional landscaping service should look like. Thank you again, Codie and crew, for an outstanding job and for helping turn my vision into reality.

We've always loved the vibe and selection here, but working with Jason completely changed the game for us. It's one thing to have an amazing green thumb (which he absolutely does), but Jason has a rare, uniquely brilliant talent for exterior design. We came in with a few scattered ideas for our backyard, and he instantly mapped out a cohesive, stunning visual plan that we never could have dreamed up on our own. What we appreciated most was his sheer passion. He didn't just point us toward the right aisles; he genuinely cared about the long-term success of our project. Redoing a yard is a massive investment, but Jason's expertise and enthusiasm made us feel completely confident in the decisions and investments we were making. We are so incredibly grateful for Jason and how fantastic he has been to work with. He turned what could have been an overwhelming project into an absolute joy. If you are heading to Moon Valley Nurseries, do yourself a favor and ask for Jason... he is an absolute rockstar!

It's a nice cafe in Solana Beach. The service is amazing and their specialty Lattes are what I go for. I enjoy the French and Brazilian cafe music they play in the background. I enjoyed the coastal breeze. While you sip and enjoy a treat you can perhaps play tic tac toe and or other games on the front patio/ picket fenced in yard. Super cute place! The Lattes I go for are The Gardener (lavender, honey, vanilla) and The Farmer(vanilla and brown sugar). Made with organic espresso and love. We've even enjoyed visiting the bunnies for 22$ per person (plus tip if you'd like too) gives you about 20-30 minutes of interaction with the bunnies. You sign a waiver with the host and they'll give you instructions on the rules. You might even get to feed them too. I loved it so much! I grew up with bunnies as pets so this was soooo nostalgic for me! Come and support this family owned business and perhaps pet a bunny. You'll like it a lotte! *they do have a handwashing station too. In case you are wondering about that.

Apparently this was a deeply offensive request, because I was immediately informed, "So really you just want a short latte," followed by a staff discussion about how people don't know how to order coffee. Then, while I was simply standing there waiting for the drink I had paid for, they started making comments about me waiting. Truly fascinating. I didn't realize there was also a correct and incorrect way to stand near a coffee counter. Eventually they wrote "cap" on my cup and called it out, so I grabbed it and said, "Thanks for my short latte." For a place serving coffee, they somehow managed to make ordering one feel like an oral exam I had failed. If you enjoy being lightly bullied by your barista over espresso terminology, this may be your spot. I personally will be getting my incorrectly named beverages elsewhere.
