We had gone up for the weekend to do a baking class in Vermont at King Arthur, which was fantastic. We stayed right down the street from Jesse's and made a reservation which I'm glad we did because the place was packed at 6:30 on a Friday night, which is always a good sign. Service was world class and a delicious meal. The prime rib was absolutely fantastic. A must stop in this part of the country to have a really rustic great dinner.

Gorgeous steakhouse with a solid menu. Service was fantastic. Beautiful fireplace. The holiday sangria was very refreshing. Try the asparagus fries. Worth the upgrade as a side for the prime rib.

Service was fantastic. We came on a Tuesday night and it was packed! The hostess was able to get us a table for 2 pretty quickly. Not long after we were seated a basket of fresh bread was brought to us. The food was good, the maple crème brulé was delicious I would make the drive again just to have that! Seems like a good place to bring families. It wasn't very loud like some restaurants can be, you can easily have a conversation without yelling across the table.

seafood gratin (very good)

Jesse's Steakhouse is not gourmet dining -it's a steakhouse and should be compared to similar steakhouses. The last time we went was a few years ago and we ate in the restaurant. It was fun and the food was good. This time we did takeout. The order was correct and on time. The seafood gratin was delicious and came with rice and veggies. The half rack was generous and came with french fries. We ordered the tater tots - These are amazing because they are huge squares but they are light on the inside. They were very crunchy and tasty.

We pulled into town sort of late and the restaurant was close to the hotel we were staying at. We had an excellent meal. I had the black and bleu ribeye and it was cooked perfectly at medium rare. It was served with mashed sweet potato which was so good. My girlfriend had the meatloaf which was even better. To end the night we had dessert, a crème brûlée, so good. We will definitely be back.

We've gone for lunch the past two weeks and the meals did not disappoint. I opted for prime rib both times while my husband got the teriyaki sirloin. My sons had the porterhouse and the black and bleu ribeye. The mashed sweet and loaded baked potato are always delicious. Service has been stellar both times. Great job!

Black and blue baby! Seriously, all about the black & blue ribeye although the loaded potato and cookie could suffice if you're vegetarian. Also happy hour is just a few bucks off beers, nothing included for food so just FYI Food: Black & Blue Ribeye 5/5: Absolutely ridiculous, perfectly cooked and juicy piece of meat lathered with an amazing creamy blue cheese topping. Loaded potato 4/5: Nothing superior to the average loaded potato but has all the fixings and is pretty good. Some more cheese would make it great Veggies N/A Just veggies Loaded Cookie 3.5/5: Again it's good and tasty but after the black and blue nothing can compare Service: Good service Ambiance 5/5: Tons of tables and a nice, lodge-style dining area

Wow. Such a horrible experience. Came in at 5pm and snagged a 7pm reservation for 4. This was our first time in this town and we are able leave the restaurant and come back for the reservation. No issues so far.. We were called to our table at 7:15 but no one greeted us or got us drinks until 7:30. Server didn't come back for another 10-15 min when he took our order. Food took another hour to arrive, so now it's almost 9 by the time we are eating. Our appetizer and salads were served at the same time as the entrees. 3 people got prime rib, all overcooked and minimal flavor. I got lobster and crab legs. Lobster was slightly overcooked but still okay but crab legs were serverly overcooked. Service was horrible and food was horrible, especially at this price point. I was shocked because this place had stellar reviews.. but it definitely wasn't a stellar experience for us. Would not recommend!!

One of the only steak games in the area. The place is generally very crowded and the food is decent. We ordered prime rib, ribs, salads, French onion soup, asparagus, fries, shrimp cocktail, and a kids meal burger. The prime rib was good and the vegetables were also OK. One of the prime rib this order, black and bleau - was not as flavorful as expected. Then asparagus fries were crisp and hot. The salads came out with almost no dressing but were otherwise fresh and good. The ribs were good. Both half racks met expectations. They need to up their bread game. The crumbly brown tasteless loaf was only edible due to the honey butter. Drinks were reasonably priced and well made. The kids meal burger looked like a silver dollar dropped in an oversized bun. Not sure how they even serve it - management please take note! Service was spotty as we were ignored at times. The bill for 4 adults and 2 kids with tip was $380.

A half portion of their Caesar salad.

Now I better understand the relatively low rating having had dinner one evening and brunch the next…read moreday at Pine over the holidays. Dinner Service was excellent and Loretta gets a shout out for her tableside manner. Manager on duty also gets a call out for accommodating my special request to slice and serve the ciabatta rolls we had just made earlier that day at King Arthur Flour. The ambiance was great, it's just sad that the food, every item we ordered whether a pasta or a short rib or a fish, were all just meh. and an expensive meh. Brunch I had higher hopes for brunch the next day given my excellent experience the last time we were in town. Should have stuck with what we ordered the last time (lobster eggs benedict, pancake, frittata, day in milan chicken sandwich). This time we ventured out and ordered the recommended duck hash which was just a bit of a mess, greasy, and not that tasty. The Day in Milan chicken sandwich was still amazing and amazingly messy to eat and the fries excellent - 5/5. But overall, most of the food we had a Pine this time was a miss.

Well marked for people with allergies. Great staff. Great drinks (even mocktails). Here's my problem. The menu changes and the food isn't consistently great. Some dishes are, some miss the mark. Over or under cooked. Plated in a challenging way. Something listed in the description of a dish is manipulated in a way that you think it's missing from the dish. Things like that. I think they don't test their dishes enough before putting them on the menu, or it may also depend on who's in the kitchen. So it's not my FIRST choice of places in the area. But, it still is one of the best places in the area.

Our hostess and later server, Leona, answered the phone and was extremely pleasant in letting us know she could get us seated. Leona recommended the Brussels and they did not disappoint with a perfect combo of roasted small Brussel sprouts with crispy prosciutto, goat cheese mousse and pickled red onions. What a great combo!! We also split the spinach salad which was perfect for winter with dried cherries, blue cheese, candied pecans and apples. We also had the artichoke fritters which had a subtle taste of artichoke and bits of tangy lemon. We split the ginger pork meatloaf and it was a creative, delicious take on traditional meatloaf. The flavor was reminiscent of the inside of a superb Peking dumpling. The dining room was decorated with beautiful area photos and there was beautiful display of custom designed knives that could be seen in a show case on the way to the restrooms. I took a photo because it may come in handy for a future gift for some aspiring chefs in my family! Excited to add Thyme to our list of stops in between our travels to and from MA to VT.
