My husband and I stopped here after a long road trip hopeful for good quality middle eastern food, but was disappointed. The meat was tough and some parts burned which were too hard to even eat. The tabouleh was very sad to taste and the Mediterranean salad was poor. I've never had a salad with more green bell pepper with no other flavors. Having been to Israel this is a sad disappointment and my husband being from Turkey was even more sad with the quality of food. The falafel was cooked too long so the outside just tasted burnt unless covered with sauce to avoid the taste. The köfte meat was soft but did not have any flavor except for juices of the meat. The flat bread was stale with no flavor except for flour dust. The rice was mushy and the dipping sauces also lacked flavor. The interior of the dining area was the only nice thing about the place. We let them know about the hair in the food and they were nice enough to give us free baklava, but that doesn't make up for the less than flavorful food we had. I do not recommend this spot and recommend other middle eastern restaurants if you're looking for a more authentic experience.

Decent spot within walkable distance of DU. Biggish menú. Bakery upfront looked good. It's the summertime and they had no ice for drinks. Lots of iceberg lettuce in sandwich and as a garnish. Food was above average but not outstanding (could just be spoiled because of similar offerings at home). Service was kind.

I used to love this local hole in the wall. I started going there 35 years ago and I loved take out from there. Just went back after 10 years because I moved out of the area. I was all around disappointed with the quality of the food. All the flavors of the hummus, baba, rice and even the gyro meat were just not great. Freezing cold dining area so bring a coat when its cold outside. Of course the prices are up and the quantity is down like so many restaurants. Not going back. Will just have to hang with my memories of how good it was.

I was brought here by a family member that has stayed in Denver for the past few years and the food was great! I had a chicken shawarma plate and food was fresh and super filling. They were very generous with portion sizes and this place is also open late at night if you are trying to get a late night fix!

A nice mediterranean restaurant in Denver. I stopped by for a quick pickup since I was getting there pretty late and these are one of the few restaurants open pretty late. Ordered chicken shawarma and it was a loaded shawarma with nice grilled chicken breast tomato lettuce and tzatziki sauce. The shawarma was good but their hot sauce was fantastic and elevated the flavors of every bite. A perfect togo place. There are a few spots to dine in as well. Overall a nice meal.

CHICKEN SHAWARMAH AND SO AWESOME SAUCE GRILLED CHICKEN, YUMMY YELLOW RICE, AND REFRESHING SALAD. THE HUMMUS IS ALSO REALLY GOOD.

Good vibe, food was AMAZING! The service was good as well very chill. 10/10 def would recommend also good with people that want something simple with lots of flavor!

Dined in with pretty quick service late at night! However, ordered an order of grape leaves for the table and never received them. Thankfully, they were taken off the check! The food is always consistently delicious for a reasonable price.

We were recommended Jerusalem Restaurant by a family member and we were not disappointed! I got the falafel sandwich and my mom got the chicken kabob plate, and both were great. Not to mention the baklava is DELICIOUS, it's a must-try item if you go!!!

The Worst Falafel Sandwich I ever had if you can even call it a sandwich.

Ordered lunch at work, PROBABLY THE WORST FALAFEL SANDWICH IVE EVER HAD. Says lettuce tomato onions, there is NO onions, there was one cube of tomato so it's ONLY LETTUCE. The Pita is stale and old, it's hard and literally disintegrated after the second bite and now there's no "sandwich". And to top it off the Falafel is DRY, FEELS OLD, and has NO FLAVOR. Place is terrible! Not even joking this is the worst falafel sandwich I've ever had. Save yourself and goto The Golden Falafel or Mordys falafel.

Jerusalem Restaurant is my go to spot for a comforting meal. The restaurant itself is quite small but they have done well with what space that they have. The service here is always incredible. This last time we went our food was at our table in less than 10 minutes from ordering. My go to dish is the Lamb + Beef Gyro plate. The rice is super delicious and I love the tzatziki sauce that you can order on the side. My husband went outside of his Meat Platter order this last time and found his new dish of choice. He ordered the Lamb Shank and this was seriously the best lamb I have ever tasted. We will always come back to this restaurant, it has become a staple in our household. I also highly recommend eating in the restaurant. The patio upstairs is our favorite spot, but the food is best when eaten at the restaurant.

My son and I had lunch here with my dad and brother last weekend. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating towards my toddler. They don't have a kids menu, which would have been nice as the portions are way too big for a 3 year old who wanted meat. I hadn't visited in about forever and wanted my long time favorite (sober) order: vegetarian platter with well done fries. (Late night I always went a chicken shawarma) with well done fries. My platter was delicious as always but I definitely noticed that it was much smaller than it used to be, and they only gave us 3 pitas for the table (my brother got the meat platter). My son got a cupcake for dessert (not ready for the joys of baklava i guess). The cupcake was surprisingly tasty- nice and moist.

He liked his chicken just fine, but anything fried is always best eaten at the restaurant for crisp factor. My brisket French dip was so delicious, I want to order another one today, just thinking about it! The Parmesan fries sound better than they are. They were good, but didn't have any bursting flavor. Regardless, I just love fries, so they were fine, but not anything special. I will definitely be back to this spot. It was hard to decide what I wanted from their menu because it all sounded so good. I've had it before and enjoyed it, but the last couple times the food has been cold despite being ready within 7 minutes. Today, I was at Chop Shop the minute my order was ready, as I got a notification on my phone. I got the chicken with polenta and my husband had the chicken tenders. We got freezer burnt chicken that was wet and soggy, breading falling off, and impossible to chew like cardboard. Not to mention the polenta and Mac and cheese were cold. I understand not every experience can be perfect, however to pay a tip, restaurant service fee (that apparently doesn't go to staff because it's a separate charge), and have to pay for utensils at a quick serve restaurant just to receive small portions, cold food, and past quality ingredients is not acceptable. I would sooner go to a fast food restaurant.

Other notable menu items were the basil chicken sandwich, their delicious pizzas, later introduced grain bowls, and breakfast items. It seems that after undergoing restaurant closures and several changes in branding and management, our beloved "Modern Market Eatery" is back with a new strategy. The new focus on build your own is very 2024... and as someone who lives in Manhattan and frequently ops for this style of dining for lunch, I understand the appeal and love the ability to opt for personalization. Additionally, I don't eat meat anymore so I really love that there are abundant vegetarian (tofu, beans, and other green vitamin rich vegetables) and pescatarian options (salmon, ahi and shrimp) Are you dined here for lunch on a random weekday after the lunch hype had died down. I ordered a build your own salad with arugula, seared ahi tuna (previously frozen, but tasty nonetheless), rice and quinoa, black, bean salad, cabbage, slaw, cilantro, and shredded carrots. My total was around $22 before tipping --which came as quite a surprise! I don't pay that much for fish on a salad in New York at a fast casual restaurant, let alone for previously frozen fish. That being said -- With no expectations as I hadn't eaten here in years... I found The salad was super tasty! Each element of the dish had tons of flavor and was totally craving. The ahi tuna was salty (topped with flaky salt?? Wow!) and well cooked--the rice was chewy and warm. Even the avocado was fresh! The restaurant is very cold -- which I remember is why my parents never wanted to eat here back in the day. Ambience is nothing special here, but as it's recently been renovated, it definitely is a step up from the former format. The modern interior definitely suits better to today's restaurant environment and especially given the lack of healthy options in Greenwood Village and Cherry Hills, I appreciate that I can get a bowl or salad that rivals something I can get downtown. All in all, I'd come back but order more price cautiously. I would opt for a pre-crafted salad or bowl as there is better value than doing add-ons in a make your own. I miss their breakfast, but love the new direction of the menu and think it has potential.

Today, I went with Modern Market as I was in the new where this location of MM is located. "Open" sign wasn't lit so I wasn't sure if it was open. There was no way it was closed however. As I approached it I saw lights lit inside. I used to live in this part of town so walking to this little shopping center was my daily routine. Back then I fondly remembered this location of MM where my daughter and I frequented. They must have renovated or rearranged things inside since as it looked quite different. As I recall it was always so clean in the dining room. That was the case today when I stopped by. Two male workers were upfront. They both welcomed me. It was a slow time of the day. They didn't appear to have a lot of online orders either. Hence, I was immediately assisted by one of them. He was very pleasant and polite to me. Once he had taken my order the other male worker's quickly prepared my food which only took 1 minute. LOL! It's so nice to not have to wait (good thing because I was hungry!) I got me the Lemongrass Tuna with Cauliflower Rice substitution (their regular rice is already mixed with quinoa; I am allergic to quinoa so that's a no go for me unfortunately so I didn't forget to ask for the substitution this time!) I wish they were a bit more generous about the Cauliflower Rice portion as there was barely there at the bottom of the bowl underneath the tuna. Other than that, it tasted good. Nothing tasted old or was brown to indicate that the ingredients weren't fresh enough. The two sauces that accompanied the bowl were nice enhancers for all the ingredients inside. Not a bad experience where it made my tummy smile with a nice grin!

I had the special summer Peaches, Almond and Goat Cheese salad and honestly, it was an underwhelming experience. The three main special stars of the salad, were not that well represented in the serving. In other words, there should have been more of these 'highlighted' portions in the salad. With that said, maybe the server, who was a pleasant guy, was light handed when it came to divvying up the showcased items. There's a 'decent' chance we might return and another, more savory salad will satisfy my palate. One last thing, when the servers are using the same gloves to move the food pans around, from the fridge, prep stations, etc...and not changing into clean gloves when they handle salad materials and food itself, that's a big turn off for me. A mixed review...
