Hidden jewel of Rome, GA. It's in a crappy hidden parking lot by the hospital. The food is outstanding! I got the classic gyro and hubby got the falafel and chicken skewer plate. I'm so glad my husband and I ate here! I had no Idea what to expect but was was pleasantly surprised to see the slightly hidden parking lot, open up to a nice comfortable area to park. After parking, we walked in and quickly seen our menu, to choose from and pay for, is immediately available in large visuals behind the counter. After ordering, we were given a serving number and had a seat. While we waited for our food to be brought to our table, a young man, named Adam, came to our table with complimentary cheesecake bite appetizers. Truly a nice and unexpected touch. Our food came shortly after and was really great! It was nice that my salad had a wonderful salad dressing and not your average salad. Better! The grilled skewered meats were delicious. The rice was perfect. My husband's lamb was melt in your mouth tender! So much food that we took our leftovers home. My husband loves baklava. After our meal we visited the connected dessert area. We learned there, that the baklava is fresh and homemade. I've honestly never liked it..until now! I can say I'm a new fan and am already wanting more! I also tried the handmade, icecream rolls. Overall, Jerusalem was a memorable experience! First, the prices are great and the food is very good. I had the chicken kabob sandwich, and our table also tried the Philly Cheesesteak and Hummus. All proved well prepared except one cheesesteak sandwich reportedly a bit on the dry side. She did not eat much of the meal so the report seemed accurate. We went on a Thursday, at about 6:30. We ordered the trio kabob and the gyro. The food came out really fast, too fast. It was hot but over cooked, I think maybe it had been prepared earlier, and was reheated in a microwave. I don't know this for sure, but it would have been impossible to over cook food in that short amount of time. The meats for the kabobs weren't even on skewers. There was one very small skewer of veggies consisting of about 5 pieces of veggies and one cherry tomato. The meats were scattered on a bed of rice. The steak was like jerky, it was so over cooked. The chicken was the most edible, but still not good. The beef/lamb combo "meatball" was also very over cooked, very dry, and rubbery. The gyro was plain and flavorless, not appetizing at all. It was served with fries. We were excited to try this place, as it had been recommended by a family member, and had good reviews. We were disappointed, and honestly, we left feeling sick. Let me begin by saying I do not write reviews very often. Most often dining experiences are just "okay" and there simply is not much to say. Jerusalem Grill is not just "okay", however, thus the following review. To start the location is less than ideal. It is set fairly far back from the main road and is tucked away. Signage is good, however I could see how people might pass right by and not really notice it is even there. This is very unfortunate because by passing by they are missing out on what is now my favorite restaurant in the Rome area. While I am not a true aficionado of Mediterranean food I have eaten my fair share of the cuisine type across the country over the years. Jerusalem Grill equaled or surpassed all of them in the food I have sampled to date. The gyros, delicious. Steak, chicken and lamb kebabs, delicious. Pita bread (which they make in house), delicious. The babaganoush and hummus, however, is absolutely next level. Without a doubt it is the best I have ever eaten hands down. Service is also top notch with the staff being particularly astute and helpful. I could go on and on about this place but then you would still be reading this review instead of just going out and enjoying this restaurant. Just do it. read more

They have a few tasty vegan friendly options, the falafel plate comes with a really flavorful yellow rice and a delicious salad. And if you tell them you are vegan, they will bring you a vegan friendly ranch-type dipping sauce for the falafel. When I used to eat meat, I would get the gyro and it was also delicious. Sorry, but I don't understand all of the good reviews here. The kufta sandwich was mostly shredded lettuce with four very small pieces of (possibly reheated) meat. Not a good value for $8. At least it came with an order of fries and large drink. I called it to the cashier's attention, and while nice, nobody went out of their way to really care. Owner was outside smoking when I arrived - and left - instead of taking care of the customers. It is my second time there and the food was just ok the first time as well. The lamb tasted old or something, not very good texture. The tabouli did no have a lemony acidic flavor that I like about the tabouli I've had at other places. I was glad to find some Mediterranean food in Rome, but it wasn't what I was expecting. They do have fresh juice though which is pretty cool. read more

Best Authentic Mediterranean Restaurant in North West GA!!!!! I grew up eating different European and Mediterranean foods and find it difficult to find restaurants that serve authentic tasting cuisine. I was so happy when this location came to Rome, GA!! The food is amazing. The Gyro Salad and Chicken Kabob plate are my favorites. The meat is flavored wonderfully!! It is a walk up counter to order your food and pay then you are given a number to set on your table for a server to bring your food to your table. On a busy lunch time break this location is easy to get in and out of within 30 min!! That is hard for a lot of locations and they can do it! I now visit regularly and enjoy classic and authentic tastes whenever I can. read more
