I have been eating at pick o deli for years I started eating with them when they were on Dean st.I ordered 2 plates last night. With chicken livers pinto and macaroni and cheese. Which I had my son in law to pick them up I was so disappointed on 1 plate I got 6 chicken livers and the other one I got 7 I have had food picked up from there many times because I am house bound so I can't go our to eat I have never got so little chicken livers before I do order them often and I feel as I didn't get my money worth I am a senior citizen on low income so sorry to say I will really have to think about it if I ever order from you again from the food I got last night and the price I didn't think it is worth it read more

Our go to home cooking in Rome! Food and cafeteria style service is always good. They have a salad bar along with several choices of meat and lots of vegetables. Their tea is great and they have homemade desserts. Price is very reasonable too! read more

Went here on a Sunday early afternoon, what a pleasant surprise! Greeted with a line-up of post church goers, the menu was straightforward as it gets. As you move through the line, you pick what you want and pay based on what you picked. Got the chicken finders, which fell right below Publix call to order tenders on top 5 in GA! Sweet potatoes were a fantastic pre-dessert dessert as well, French silk pie at end was exactly what we were looking for. Too much to finish for two people w/ drinks and desert for $30. Ordered dressing with chicken gravy, broccoli and fried okra. The chicken and dressing was just ok (not as hot as I would have liked it), the vegetables were overcooked and cold (inedible). Wasted my time and money. Can't recommend this restaurant. read more

We go there occasionally. I don't care for the food. I usually end up throwing something into the trash. And at those prices, that hurts. Everyone is always very nice and helpful except for one time, a waitress had a problem with my brother's service dog who was a perfect gentleman who laid right at our feet and didn't make a sound. She didn't want the dog in there. I don't think they are supposed to question about a service dog. He was wearing his vest. The food was much better at the East Rome location. But people seem to like it here. read more

The food like always was fresh and hot and everything on my plate and my wife's was delicious, chicken melts in your mouth. Never a wait and drinks stayed topped off even as we were about to walk away. Nice peaceful establishment. It was great especially compared to the morning in the office of chaos. read more

Ate here today around 2 with my wife and daughter. My wife and I had chicken and rice and my daughter has chicken fingers with vegetables. The portions were large and the quality was as excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. read more

I was so disappointed in this "home cooking" cafeteria. First of all, nobody is friendly. It feels kind of like entering a prison visiting room. Secondly, everything is served in styrofoam. Everything. Maybe it made sense in their old location, which was small, but here it's just cheap and gross. Eating with a tiny plastic fork is unpleasant. Then they have this big menu on the wall, listing all these delicious sounding desserts. But the desserts aren't even in the line. You have to go to a different counter. And again, served on styrofoam and with plastic over it. And after all that, the food wasn't even good. My mom has been here before at lunch, and she said maybe it's just better at lunch. Why would that be? Can they not maintain quality over the course of a few hours? My baked chicken was tough and dry. And my daughter's fried catfish was raw in the middle. When I took it back up to the server line to ask if they had more that was better cooked, they lady just said "Well I don't know if any of them are any different" then handed me another filet, which had a raw center also. I don't know, but if I was working in a restaurant, I might wake up a little when someone showed me undercooked meat. It's just a dirty, dumpy place, with no atmosphere, unfriendly people, and bad food. I have no idea how anyone would go here more than once. read more
