Came here with high hopes and was extremely disappointed. Came on a Sunday to check this place out and wish I had a different experience. I want to start by saying the young lady that attended us on 3/17/2019 at around 5pm (only server there) was probably the nicest person on the planet, she was the best part of the place but was clearly overwhelmed. We ordered some falafel and hummus as an appetizer, waited about 45 minutes just for that and it was just ok. Did not even eat my food at the restaurant because after waiting an additional 30 minutes it still wasn't done. I took the food to go for mr to only end up throwing it away. My kafta which was supposed to be beef was lamb and was soooooooo raw, bright red center. So gross. While everyone was super nice, I don't think that is enough for me to ever go back read more

I went in to order take out liking the previous reviews on this place and I wasn't disappointed! The chicken shawarma sandwich was delicious and not dry at all and came with garlic sauce and yummy pickles and a mountain of fries. I also ordered the vegetarian meal. The hummus and baba ghanouj were delicious as well as the tabbouleh and dolmas. Last meal was the kefta--very good, which came with very tasty rice and some grilled veg. Everything was fresh and nicely done and I'll definitely be back! Also I was impressed with how roomy and clean the dining area is! Nice to have a place so close to home. read more

Seriously, I found my favorite place. I came in on Friday last week and had the Chicken Shawarma wrap, lentil soup, and the lemonade. The soup was hot and thick. The wrap was grilled and slightly toasted. Everything was delicious. I came back today and had a date to confirm. I again had the Chicken Shawarma wrap, lentil soup, and the lemonade. My wife had the same and added the hummus. The pita was steaming when it came out (awesome) and the hummus was some of the best I think I've ever had. Food was just as flavorful. Was in the area to meet a client and had not had a chance to eat dinner , so I do what I always do. Go to Yelp , and once again Yelp came though with flying colors. If I could give Jerusalem Grill more than five stars I would. Freshly prepared Middle Eastern food at its finest. My wife started out with the mint lemonade. She loved it. We then split the lentil soup. This was by far the best lentil soup we ever have had in a restaurant and we have had some good soups in the past. I had the lamb kabob sandwich . This took about twenty minutes for the fresh food prep however was well worth the wait . My wife had the stuffed grape leaves and the kibbeh appetizer and made a meal out of it. It was our first time here however I have a feeling the owners are going to know us on a first name basis and if you. One out to try it I am sure you will also have the same great experience we did. We arrived with my husband to Jerusalem Grill without knowing him, but we certainly recommend this restaurant 100%. Everything we tried was delicious. We tried the falafel with the Tahini sauce, the humus (more than amazing), Shawarma chicken sandwich and the grilled mixed. Each dish was spectacular, for a very good price, you can enjoy a great Mediterranean meal. In addition, Ahmad's attention was very good, very cordial and attentive to everything we asked for. Just received my food and as a middle eastern, the quality is terrible. The meat is dry and is burnt. It looks like they reheated already cooked meat. The hummus is terrible and drenched in oil, the same for the grape leaves. The gyro sandwich had meat that was stale. I literally think the food I ordered which was a lot was all already precooked and just reheated. It was really gross. You can't even blame this on the delivery, the food itself is just terrible. I know recooked meat when I see it. Never again. I called them after the owner said I was a fake complaint costumer from the review I left them so I attached a picture of the receipt and food I ordered. When I called today to let the owner know just how bad my food and I had to throw it out, he told me that if I didn't want so much oil on my food that I should say something. First off, I'm a new costumer and secondly, no sane person pours bucket loads of oil on top of hummus and grape leaves like that. There's so many other middle eastern places that are way more authentic than this. The food was so gross that all you could taste was oil. No flavor and I forgot to mention that the rice also tasted like it was left overs from the day before. Most disappointing is that I come to find out other people had similar experiences of drenched food in oil and recooked meat that was stale and burnt. Yet the owner wants to put the blame by commenting on every negative review that it's not their fault. Read the other reviews, you'll see that half of them don't sound and I'm sure the ratings on this restaurant is inflated. read more

I'm giving them 3 stars. 5-stars for food and 1-star for service. The food is delicious and decently priced (not the cheapest bite but still not overly expensive). The staff is friendly but just dreadfully slow. Multiple times I've ordered from here. Over an hour each time for two simple meals that majority of similar cuisine restaurants would have done in 15-20 mins max. I just had Jerusalem Grill last nite, and I have to be honest, it just isn't the same. I've been ordering from there twice a month & yesterday, was the first time I was disappointed. Not sure if it's a new cook, but all of the food is NOT how I remembered it. The tabouleh was soggy. The meat was seasoned & cooked differently. The rice wasn't as fluffy as before. Even the sauces were bland. I noticed that the person answering the phone and even the delivery driver are new. Perhaps this place has new management and staff. I'm genuinely sad, now. I'll have to go back to my previous favorite. It's unfortunate, the changes are so noticeable, like night and day. read more

This was my 1st time here, celebrating my birthday with my son & his girlfriend. We were there on a Sunday, around 5-6. The gentleman welcomed us & was very friendly & checked on us often. My son ordered the Beef Shawarma Sandwich dinner, GF ordered the Falafel Sandwich & I ordered Chicken Kabobs. As a side, we had Tabbouleh Salad. Service was excellent, food good ( wasn't sure what to expect) I found the Tabbouleh salad had a bit too much parsley & could have used more grains (our neighbor growing was Armenian & would make this often. I remembered it being being different, more tomatoes & grains) The Falafel Sandwich arrived quickly, but the other 2 dishes took quite a long time. My son mentioned he didn't care for the sauce on the Beef Shawarma Sandwich, but loved the meat & pita. I loved my Chicken Kabob~great flavor & the rice was amazing, & portions big (leftovers, yay!) Over all, I can't wait to back & try something new. So glad to have this jewel of a restaurant within walking distance from home! read more
