I have been there twice since my person moved to there. Its conveniently located by the Home Depot on Rt 88. The decor is up to the minute. I like it! The salon uses good products that do not stink of chemicals. People that work there are friendly. The sinks where you get your hair washed are supportive. Normally, I dread the sink as its uncomfortable for my neck, but not here. Totally comfortable. I don't know the science behind it, but I appreciate it. read more

Made a last min decision after another stylist at a different salon cancelled on me same day, and I'm so glad I found this place and I went thru with it!! Lauren did absolutely amazing. She knows what she's doing!! She was very open to hear what I was looking for and gave me the right advice for the sake of my hair's health. Thankfully I discovered Jersey Waves when I moved to Brick last year. I explained to my stylist (also owner) Alyssa that I prefer low maintenance on a daily basis and that I don't like to get my hair done more than a couple times a year. Alyssa gave new life to my hair and I couldn't be happier! I can just blow it dry without a lot of styling and it looks great or I can spend a little more time and it looks even magazine-worthy. This is my favorite, local salon. My husband and I moved to Brick a few years ago. I color treat my hair at least a couple times a year, so finding a place I can go to and enjoy became crucial. The staff here are caring and attentive. You always feel welcomed, and it's family friendly. It's not easy to find a good fit, but this location is the BEST! If you're looking for a new hair salon, look no further. I've had the pleasure of going to this location twice so far and both times the experiences were phenomenal. Having blond hair can be really difficult, especially if you're always trying to achieve the right tone. Mandy and Alissa both worked very hard to get my hair to exactly where I wanted it to be. Love all things about this salon. I've been going to see Alissa since the salon opened!.In addition to getting my hair cut and colored there, I had the opportunity to use their services for special occasions. My sister had Alissa and Joscelyne style her entire bridal party. They did an excellent job getting everyone finished on time. We had the salon to ourselves and brought in bagels and mimosas. it was a perfect start to the day. The atmosphere is always fun, the way a salon should be. The bridal party consisted of 7 girls, with completely different hair types, and everyone's hair came out perfect and lasted from 9am until 1am when the wedding was over. Can't say enough good things about the salon for everything from special occasions to just a simple blow out! read more

This salon is the only one I will go to in New Jersey. As a recent transplant to the state I found the salon and have been extremely happy with my results here. Having previously lived in California and Utah, my experience here is better than any of the other salons I've ever been to. My hair comes out absolutely perfect every visit, because hair specialist here really know their business and make sure their customers have a great experience. Lauren is my absolute favorite hair stylist I've ever had, and the only person I want do my hair for me. She has been a lifesaver. I've had my hair every color ranging from blond to Black to bright red, and she makes my hair look and feel like it has never been before. ::::BOTCHED:::: I was a long time client of jersey waves until a stylist burnt off about 12 inches of my hair. I didn't realizes until I went to a different salon to have the work fixed being as I couldn't see any of the highlights on the bottom half of my hair. The new stylist pulled up what was left of my burnt off hair (about an inch and a half) from the middle section of my head and said " this would be the reason you don't see any highlights." I understand mistakes happen. What I don't understand why I was not informed of this or why after burning my hair off this stylist still let me pay for the service?!? I really don't know what's worse. Needless to say I will never return to , nor suggest jersey ways salon. :::EDIT/REPLYING TO OWNERS ::: Can you replace 12 inches of hair loss? I think not. Not even a satisfaction guarantee can fix that. How long does it take hair to grow 12 inches? About 3 years. I pay for this mistake every day. read more

I miss this place! I used to go to Lauren and she made my hair into this beautiful and sophisticated mermaid color. I highly recommend her because she is really dedicated to making sure you LOVE your hair before you walk out. I walked in Jersey waves and asked to get a hair cut the girls were very friendly and polite when I first walked in and I felt comfortable. A young girl came from the back and said hello really don't remember her name but she had the 2nd chair in on right side. She asked me if I wanted a scissor cut and I said yes this should have been my first red flag because I don't have the type of hair you do with different size buzzers. Well she started cutting and I noticed the way she was cutting was different then I have ever had cut before and that should have been flag #2 but I was nice and figured maybe new method that the younger girls do now. So 35 mins later said I'm all done and I paid and headed home and when I got home to brush my hair I noticed WOW WHAT A BAD HAIR CUT I JUST GOT. My hair was all uneven on both sides that I had to fix and she left all hair on the back of my neck and never cleaned me up I was shocked . I now have steps in my hair that I have never had before and I truly hope when they say the difference between a good hair cut and a bad hair cut is 2 weeks they really mean that . I really don't like doing this but I have to deal with the next 2 weeks or so dealing with my clients with a noticeable BAD HAIR CUT !!! I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else especially if you have to dress professionally like I do everyday . read more
