I have been going to Jessica at September's hair salon since I first ever got my hair done. I love being bleach blonde and Jessica does it perfectly every time!! I switched it up once for a silver balayage and once again Jessica made my vision come to life!! If you want bleach blonde hair Jessica is your girl! She's the one who specializes in this process and I have even seen her take the time to bring a customer from dark brown to bleach blonde!! It took a bit of time but the end result was beautiful healthy blonde hair!! She knows how to tone out the brassiness and and can give you that snowy white, grey or warm blonde. She will continue to be the only hairstylist I will go to! Please never leave Jessica!!! read more

Took my daughter here for a hair cut .... I asked for 10 inches to be Cut off for donation. She cut 16 inches!!!!!!!!! I asked for long layers she gave her short layers . Last time I will ever step foot in this salon ! Update to your response.... I did not have a tape measured in my pocket and that is my fault.... I should have doubled checked ... sadly I just assumed you knew what you were doing. Regardless 6 inches is a far cry from a little shorter than 10 inches ....plus when my daughter and I discussed it right in front of you we both agreed on 10 inches . I made several comments while you were cutting that the layers were way too short !!!! I thought I made myself perfectly clear that I was unhappy and told you to keep the face frame longer .....thank god or it would have been up to her chin! The only reason I gave you a 20 dollar tip was because I didn't have any smaller bills and had to get out of there before I made a scene . Had I known at the time you were the owner I would have done just that and wouldn't have paid you a cent! read more

And I've came to her for a couple different styles and cuts and every single time she listens carefully and gives me exactly what I want. The girl who did my hair, (I won't name names since it's in bad taste and I understand she needs to provide for her family but I still DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE) didn't even dye my whole head like I had asked, only foils. She made it like that counted as dying my whole head, while just putting it in foils with my highlights, I can't make this up! Literally. Cut and one second style with barrel curling iron. Like it was a second thought, like a whatever I'm off after this. Kinda attitude. Grotesque. End result? 215$!?!? Plus Tip!! These are VIP, Premium prices, you want to feel good, relaxed, calm, have a good time not have to worry they are charging you for things you wanted and they didn't bother to do or just stressed because you know they are going to try to rip you off, over charge when you get out of that chair. Stressful. Those words and Salon should not ever, ever go together. Again, it should be a calming experience (can't stress this enough) so just like anyone else paying this ridiculous amount for foils and a cut; will actually expect to get done, what your ACTUALLY paying for, no short cuts or bad business practices/ethics. I'm not one to really complain, this was just an awful experience all around. No warmth, she actually asked what my last name was. I should have said "NOT ROCKEFELLER! " Still don't understand why my name is important when I actually already told the lady at desk ( I'm not there for a job interview, I'm there to pay you to do my hair, my last name is none of your business but your going to learn today ) who is obviously working together with these price gauging. The board says it all with the prices. I'm being nice when I say price gauging. The BBB should be tipped off of their bad business ethics. And trying to squeeze every dollar they can OVERCHARGE No. Just no. I was only there for over an hour. Worst experience of my life. It's called September's. I really liked her and didn't mind spending their un heard of made up prices, as long as I loved it. Not liked it. Didn't even bother doing my ends! Lol! That's when I realized and after looking at the board and almost falling over for what I had paid, this place is a giant SCAM!!!! I can only imagine what she actually skipped. I guess when one dyes hair their ends must not count? Oh that must be extra work. Yeah. God forbid, I mean after all I'm only paying for my WHOLE HEAD so let's make her pay for everything and the light bill. Come on, isn't that one of the first things they learn, to do whole head (since you are charging for full head) gross ethics. ugh unreal I feel duped for spending almost 3 days worth of work. I would literally STAY FAR AWAY, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND OVERWHELMED WHEN YOU LEAVE AND UNHAPPY. Not sure how they have stayed in business for so long. (Probably from robbing, and gauging) duh. Buyer Beware!!!! There's the cutest place on Mantoloking rd, just before the bridge. I've been coming to Michelle for a few months now to get some funky colors done and every single time I leave ecstatic with how it comes out. Some pictures of my and my friends hair are actually posted here by the shop (they're all funky vibrant colors). Michelle is also just great, super helpful with any questions, and nice all around. Kelsey is also great! She's done my boyfriends hair in funky colors as well and it's always came out nice, and she's super sweet. The shop atmosphere is really chill, and the stylists are always having random conversations with clients while passing by. All around, I highly recommend the shop! read more

I would never go here again. I scheduled an appointment for 1PM, arrived at 12:50 and was sitting in the waiting room until 1:40PM before I decided to leave. The receptionist went to the back to check on my hair dresser, whom was running "ten minutes late". The hair dresser was there, but I was still waiting longer than I should've. Very poor service here. A waste of my time and I regret coming. read more

Called for my apt told the lady I have long hair she said it'll cost 35 for a blow out. Time come to pay she tells me it's 45, I didn't want to spend more than 30 but 35 was fine and so I tell her and she goes the receptionist can tell you but the stylist makes the prices... uh maybe you should have told me that before because I wouldn't have gotten my hair done. My hair didn't look like a blowout it looked like it was straight ironed which I could have done I had to redo it at home myself so it was a waste of time and money and they really need to communicate or something to make the prices the same read more

I have been getting my hair done with Chris for many years. I always leave happy with my cuts and colors. Soo my daughter asked to get "blue highlights" put in and knew she had to see Chris.
