Came here after having very blond hair at the end of the summer. Explained exactly what I wanted in detail Still blond but darker, high and low lights and no ash! Ended up after over 3 hours with lighter ash hair with white hight lights!! They tried to correct it by putting in a toner and my hair turned ash and blue!!!They still charged me 275 dollars but said to come in the next morning to correct. Lost the blue and ash from whatever they rubbed in my scalp but with that my color got lighter and no low lights. I left a voicemail for the owner but got no response. I basically threw 275 down the toilet and damaged my hair from all the chemicals. read more

The only reason I'm writing a review is because I'm moving and will only be able to use Jessica when I come home to visit my family. I didn't want the word to spread too great because then she'd be even more booked! Jessica is a goddess of hair and all things beauty. If I had my choice, she'd be the ONLY person I let touch my hair. She knows exactly what to do to make a person look their best- and on TOP of all of this, she's the sweetest thing alive. The whole salon is fantastic and I would give a million more stars if I could. They cover everything beauty and have a fantastic boutique as well. So I finally treated myself to a professional haircut and blow out with Dana at Robin Rene! I was shocked to hear that they were under construction because the salon was adorable and so put together. The staff was warm and inviting and I was lucky enough to come in right after Dana received a cancellation!! I love the cut, I loved her advice, and I loved our conversation! I've been getting my hair done here since I was 12 years old. I am now 28. I have experimented with other salons here and there following a stylist I like or going for something really cheap... I regretted it each time. I cannot say enough good things about this salon. Personally I go to Anna, and she has been able to do some awesome colors to my hair. I wanted blonde highlights, they are beautiful. I decided I wanted to go brown one day, gorgeous color- not dull or flat. Wanted a red to blonde ombré... I got compliments everywhere I went. She's amazing! Recently I chose to cut my hair short and was so nervous... It looks so cute! She genuinely cares about how your hair comes out - she is a true artist. The receptionists are always friendly and happy and are great schedulers. There have been times when a slot was closed that worked well with my schedule and they called back days later when there was a cancellation - those personal touches are really appreciated!! The other stylists are friendly too, and the place is up-to-date and classy. They feature bumble and bumble products which I also love. If you go, you won't regret it !!! read more

I don't normally write reviews, but after visiting Robin Rene's, I just had to share my experience. I love in northern NJ, and my husbands family has a beach house at the Jersey Shore. Tired of my hair color and style, I decided to give a salon down here a try. It was a spontaneous decision, and Robin Rene was able to fit me in the same day with Amy. I showed Amy what I was looking for, and she delivered what I asked for, only it was a little to ashy for my liking. She said that if I wasnt 100% pleased with it, to come back, and she would get the color to where I wanted it. I ended up coming back, and Amy tweaked the color for me free of charge. I ended up with hair color and a hairstyle the I absolutely LOVE. I will definitely be coming back even if i have to take a special trip! read more

Absolutely amazing... From the minute I made the appointment with Nancy who was sweet and helpful on the phone and was kind and extremely friendly and upbeat in person when I arrive. My stylist Anna really listen to what I wanted to do with my hair, she exceeded my exceptions. Off the charts the BEST haircut I have ever gotten, her talent is beyond anything I have ever experienced. Oh, and the she is super friendly, funny, warm & inviting... I have been going to Robin Renee Salon for over 20 years. It doesn't matter who does your hair, they are all fantastic! They know how to color expertly, and continuously go to classes to keep up with the latest education in all things hair and beauty. The salon is inviting, the coffee is good, there is a little boutique, lots of Bumble and Bumble products, facials, Skinceutical skin care line, a great shampoo and head massage by Kristy, and sometimes even a bagel or cookie to enjoy. The BEST hair salon around! The stylists know color so well and will get it perfect every time. They are beyond friendly and so helpful...I love my stylist, Laurie Z! I completely trust her with my hair, and her instincts are always right when it comes to color. They have a great system that every hair salon should use. Each client has a notecard, and the stylists write down every detail of what the client had done for each visit. This includes the date of visit and exact hair dye color/number, so you don't have to worry about remembering anything. It's so simple, but VERY useful!!! The decoration style in the salon makes it feel really home-y. They also don't rush clients, which always lets me relax to the fullest and enjoy my salon day. LOVE LOVE LOVE this salon! Went here for the first time on Saturday (5/14/16) and everyone was wonderful! Was having a "hair emergency"-- had to cancel an appt earlier in the week with my regular salon due to a family problem, and my niece's graduation party was on Sunday! My sister recommended this salon, had heard good things about it, so I called them on Friday and pretty much begged them to fit me in. Nancy, the receptionist, was so nice! She said she'd do her best, and she did-- squeezed me in on Saturday, their busiest day. Now, you know how scary it is to trust your hair with an unknown stylist but I had to risk it-- couldn't go to the party with my roots showing! Anna did my color, cut, and style, and it was like she knew my hair-- it came out perfect! I can't thank them enough for saving the day; my hair looked great for the party! The salon itself is very pretty and relaxing-- a great place to spend a few hours. Kristy took very good care of me while I waited, offering water, coffee, and bagels. She also did my wash out, complete with scalp massage-- ahhhh. I highly recommend this place!!! read more
