We will be forever grateful to Dr. Anthony Sparano for the life-changing surgical expertise and care that he gave to our youngest son. He had Otoplasty by Dr. Sparano in April 2018, and it was by far the very best thing we have done for any of our children. While our handsome 7-year old boy has the best personality and a constant smile, the fact was always there that his ears were sticking out way too much, and it made him look quite different from his brothers. In all the photographs and life moments, there were his big ears. Yet this was something our family had never even spoken of, until one day my son said "look mom, I can make my ears move back and I think they look better this way". I knew then that this was the year to go ahead and listen to my inner voice and repair this abnormality, one that could cause major self-confidence issues over his lifetime. This Otoplasty has set our son up for a better future, one without a physical or psychosocial impediment. I was fortunate enough to already know of the phenomenal reputation of Dr. Sparano. I was drawn to the fact that he exclusively specializes in Faces, Ears and Necks. It was important to me that he was NOT also operating on 'enhancements' of other body parts, and this gave me enormous confidence to choose Dr. Sparano for the best possible outcome. I know his dedication to facial plastic surgery, and the fact that he is in solo practice, meant that my son was going to have a doctor with the very best surgical skills in the entire region for Otoplasty. Between his impeccable skills and warm bedside manner, there was no doubt we chose the right surgeon for our son. From the very first surgical consultation to the day of surgery, and to the close personal attention he gave to our family in the post-operative period, Dr. Sparano exemplified the very best. The procedure and post-op expectations were well explained in advance and again throughout the weeks that followed. I admire Dr. Sparano's style of conservative postoperative management and incision care, and adhering to his standards is critical to a successful outcome. From the very first week after surgery, we could see our son as he wanted to be... with ears shaped "just like his brothers". Amazingly, he had only a few minutes of pain on the evening of the surgical day, but he refused any pain medication. The only difficulty we encountered in this process was prolonged vomiting from the anesthesia, and to our surprise once the 24-hour mark passed, our son was well on the road to recovery. Our happy and super-confident son is an 8-year old third grader, and the surgical result is phenomenal. The entire staff at Dr. Sparano's office treated us with kindness every step of the way. They are an excellent reflection of the amazing surgeon behind the practice. For parents who see their child with unusual or abnormal ears, I strongly encourage them to take that leap of faith and place it into the gifted hands of Dr. Sparano. Parents should also realize that taking the required break from sports and gym is just a very small price to pay for the lifelong benefits of Otoplasty. I cannot thank Dr. Sparano enough for his outstanding care! I noticed a blemish on my nose around one year ago. It wasn't a glaringly obvious "red flag" but more of an imperfection that never quite seemed to heal. I finally went to see a dermatologist who confirmed a Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was initially told that it was likely superficial, therefore making it more difficult to treat. I learned when Basal Cell presents this way, it could really "sprawl," leaving a great possibility of being left with a significant defect/ scar once all of the cancer was removed. As an alternative to surgery, the other options given were radiation therapy, which I quickly denounced, or a topical treatment in combination with light therapy and frequent observation. The combo treatment only had an 85% cure rate, so I didn't feel comfortable with the "watch it" approach. I ultimately decided to consult with Dr. Sparano for his opinion on whether I was a candidate for a successful reconstructive surgery, given the circumstances. I immediately felt at ease in his office. His staff is knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. During my initial appointment, Dr. Sparano thoroughly examined my lesion and explained several possible ways in which he can reconstruct the nose, one even being a skin graft if the size of the deformity called for it. I was so impressed with his confidence, his experience, and most importantly, his compassion for his patients. Needless to say, I scheduled my cancer removal with my dermatologist and an appointment for reconstructive surgery with Dr. Sparano immediately following. Upon removal, my Basal Cell ended up being both deep and superficial, so surgery was definitely the right decision. After successful removal, I left my dermatologist's office with an approximate nickel sized defect/ hole on my nose. Upon arrival to Dr. Sparano's office, I was immediately met by his caring staff and escorted into the procedure room so that I did not have to feel uncomfortable in the waiting area. Dr. Sparano spent time examining my nose and decided on a flap procedure. I still don't quite understand how he did it so successfully, but he used skin from beneath my eyelid to reconstruct my nose. He was kind, gentle, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire procedure. When I left his office, I was blown away by his skill. He saw me the very next morning to clean my incision line and to review proper wound care instructions to ensure proper healing. Over the next two weeks, I healed beautifully and still can't believe how I looked pre reconstruction. I am beyond happy that I made the decision to have Dr. Sparano do my reconstructive surgery. I can now rest easy that the cancer is completely removed, and although I am only 2 months post surgery, I have healed virtually scar free. read more

I went to a consultation with Dr. Sparano about the robotic hair transplant surgery. I still have most of my hair, but thought I would take action and have the surgery prior to my hair thinning becoming very noticeable. I was expecting to learn about the procedure, the costs and what would occur both before and after the surgery and determine when to schedule the procedure. After speaking with Dr. Sparano and his staff, he recommended and prescribed for me Finasteride rather then the surgery. I was so incredibly surprised as I was not anticipating this to be the outcome. Dr. Sparano is truly gifted at what he does. I only get Botox and fillers at a plastic surgeons office for safety purposes and their knowledge. I moved and found Dr. Sparano in April. He did my Botox and was so minimal with the amount of Botox he used yet I got the same results. I then chose to get my cheek fillers and lips done in June. The staff said he was awesome at lips in keeping them natural. It's been two weeks later and I would agree. My lips look so natural yet more plump and turned up (sweetheart lips). She introduced me to the ZO Skin Health line and my skin immediately showed improvement! I started with the Anti-Aging Phase II system and within 3 months my texture and tone were so much better. I am now using the system to clear up pigmentation issues after a rough summer, and within 9 weeks see a difference! Although the systems are expensive, they last for months.
