3 plus maybe an extra .5 for freshness. They get points for slicing their meats and cheeses to order. You can definitely taste the difference in freshness and for a fast food joint, that can be key. However, freshness is one thing... flavor is another. While they excel in freshness, they lack in flavor. The only discernible tastes in the Supreme sub were the oil and vinegar sauce and an occasional hit of bacon. My personal preference is for thin cut meats so, another plus there... Thin cut cheese though?? Might as well not even be there. The meats, cheese, toppings, and bread were of superior quality but had little taste. Subway has better flavor... And better prices. For the quality though, I'd say the prices here are appropriate. read more

Jersey Mike's Subs - Freshness: 1, Flavor: 0 - Sandwiches Near Me - Santee, California

Called on Tuesday, February 23 at 9:30 am and spoke with Xavier, a manager of the Mission Gorge store next to Vons by Kaiser Zion and asked if he could make 30 sandwiches for the hard worker Covid nurse and staff and get them delivered by 10:45 am same day. Certainly, Xavier replied and he personally delivered them to the hospital. Really appreciate the great service!! Kathleen from Valley Center read more

Honestly, i used to love this place, especially because my sister used to work here, then my sister got a different job and left this one, but we continued to go here because it was so good, UNFORTUNATELY, the lack of training of professionalism has taken its toll on the artistic side of the sandwich making, we came here for dinner and got a #9 and the ASSISTANT MANAGER (Victoria I think her name was) made our sandwich (By that i mean she was at the shredder cutting the meat) and we only got shreds of roast beef and turkey, the meat on the sandwich was very poorly sliced. If your going to be the assistant manager you should know how to make sandwiches the right way and not half ass your job, your being compensated as an assistant manger for a reason, act like it. The only reason i gave them 2 stars is because the food is good, but the lack of professionalism is rediculous. We had 1 girl helping us and the other 4 gossiping in the back. read more

Jersey Mike's Subs - Sandwiches Near Me - Santee, California

Two stars only because the sandwich is decent. But I'm amazed that the app asks you if you want to customize your order but the employees either can't or don't read the "customize order" section. I clearly said no onions, extra oil and vinegar. I got onions and not a single drop of oil and vinegar. Even after scraping all the onions off of my sandwich, I could still taste onions. read more

This place is literally my favorite sub place because they always make it good & the service is awesome

I ordered the same sandwich as the guy behind me. And he got his sandwich 10 minutes before me. And i had to stand in front of the cashier while he completely ignored my presence, until someone making sandwiches had to stop what they were doing to help me. poor employee training/ service. and the food was only ok AT BEST. wont be going back here. Go to Sandwich Bags if you want a better sandwich and better customer service in Santee. read more

We purchased 6 "Giant" subs from Santee Jersey Mikes for a get together yesterday. The Pro's: The french rolls were fresh. The Con's: Very little meat. The 6 subs that we purchased were five different kinds-same amount of deli-meat on each one. Out of 15 guests, the only 'thumbs up' was the person who ate the veggie sub. The meat is sliced very thin and the amount placed on the sub is lost to the lettuce. I would rate Jersey Mike's higher than Subway, but two stars beneath Antonelli's Deli in El Cajon. read more

Went in at lunch today to try it out. I give it 5 plus stars for service. Seriously some of the friendliest employees out there. Great asset to the company. The sandwich.. Meh. Nothing great or would crave but it was okay. Locally submarina or honeys donuts sandwich (that place is bomb!) make better tasting sandwiches. For my money won't go back. read more

I went in around 1:30 today, and the service was amazing! the employees who made my sandwich were fantastic! the manager however was being very rude...not sure what that was about. I felt bad for the employees. read more

staff on the line was great! Food tested good. The shift leader was very rude and disrespectful to the employees which made me very uncomfortable. I will not be back at this location. read more

The staff works really hard, and they still manage to greet every person that walks through the door. I personally interacted with everyone on the line, and every single person was polite. I came in between 1:45 and 2 today. Such great food and amazing staff! read more

Honestly I didn't know it takes 35 mins to make a number 17. Definitely need to figure out why it took so long. I won't return my sandwiches were soggy from how much oil they put on it. Defiant not worth 45 dollars. SMH read more

Regular sandwich and large drink $12 even. I was just in for lunch, pretty much no wait to get a sandwich. I had a regular buffalo chicken with no tomato, they handed me my sandwich and good thing I did not get it to go because it was a absolute mess. I think they got my order right, but I'm not sure I will it was hard to find the sandwich and the huge pool of sauce all over the wrapping. Their bread is really tasty, which is the reason for the two stars they did get. But the sandwich was such a soggy Disaster that I could not eat the whole thing without it falling apart all over the place. read more

Very Good subs and great service! I just wish the subs were a little bigger. Price is a little high, but they are gourmet type subs. read more

I just had to post this. I am very impressed by the young people who work at this location. We were there tonight have some sandwiches and there was a lady there who appeared to have some mental issues. Her order was very challenging and convoluted. The process was almost painful for me to listen to. But the kids treated this lady with such respect, patience, and kindness that I have a renewed hope for our future. Kudos to Jersey Mike's for having such outstanding people representing their company. And for those young ladies and gentlemen, thank you. You should be proud of who you are. read more

Called the order in, and still had a 30 minute wait with impossibly rude service. Turns out our order had been there the whole time. They never even called it out. Been here several times, it has gone downhill so badly. The employees are lost. Person in front of us got the wrong order. Don't come here!!! If I could give a zero I would. read more

I give 3 stars for a 2 reasons... 1st reason is that there is not much meat on the sandwiches, and the meat that is is so very thinly cut. 2nd reason is that when ordering online my order was not checked and sandwiches were missing. I simply asked for a refund of the missing sandwich so that I wouldn't have to go Back. They said They can only refund if I came in. Instead of a refund They gave me a cold Philly sandwich that should otherwise have been hot. Now, when we go in to order, staff is very friendly and veggies seem fresh. Overall we are not very impressed. Especially for the cost. read more

This review is for the store in Santee. We got sandwiches here two times during our monthlong stay in Santee. Not being familiar with Jersey Mike's I'll say I'm impressed. While they have less add ins than their competitor, the meats and veggies appear to be of much higher quality. If we had one in our home town I'd definitely choose it over Subw..... oops, I didn't want to mention their competitors name. read more

I love jersey mikes, but this location struggles to get sandwiches correct. I asked for #9 and the person starting making the ring sandwich. Then after correcting her The bread was cut terrible and had no mayo or bacon on it after I asked them a few times read more

Great spot for a breakfast sandwich. Bacon, egg and cheese is just what the doctor ordered lol. Highly recommend this sandwich spot for morning and lunch. read more

As with all Jersey Mike's, it's way better than any other chain sandwich shops. I love the "long wait" negative reveiws, especially the one's that mention Antenelli's. That's the longest wait in town! WHEN YOU GO- it's # 99 or #13. Or call in your order to Antenelli's and still ait 30 minutes after you get there. read more

Save money go to Subway. The sandwiches are subpar not worth the price, you can get a foot long for $5 at subway with the same quality

I haven't even tried my sandwich yet but it looks good and, the employees were super friendly. They were great and efficient at getting me through the line, I'm looking forward to my sandwich and coming back for the breezy experience. read more

I go there for their Cheese Steaks; never have tried anything else. It's always cooked well, and the service has not been bad. I hear some bad reviews from people, which is a bit odd as I haven't seen anyone upset about their food. I do notice quite a lot of *a-holes* who eat there though, maybe it's an attitude issue more than a bad experience issue; dunno =) read more

Never an issue coming here. Funny how some people who complain on here about price, it's on the menu so you see it before you order. Or your complaining and your writing skills are on a level of a 5 year old. Great sandwiches and it sure beats Subway. Jersey Mike's Subs - Fast , friendly , and full of flavor. I had the grilled Rubin (seen in picture) - Sandwiches Near Me - Santee, California

Went in expecting a great sandwich, and got it! Didn't expect or ask for the hearty helping of sarcasm that was dished out from the kid cutting the meat! Yikes! Ordering my sandwich on a holiday, the line guys made it feel a little chaotic and rushed, but at least it eliminates the line draggers, "uhhh... can I get... uhhhmmmm.... olives? no. NO olives, can I get ummm...." Just save yourself and the guys behind the counter some time and order it "Mike's Way". GREAT subs, worthy of a 4 out of 5... but next time I think I'll call ahead for pickup!!! read more

I got a chicken Philly and a steak Philly both were serviceable but not great. The flavors were muddled and the peppers and onions were so sweet they tasted almost candied. My service was pretty good so I don't understand all the negative service reviews. I can't speak on the deli sandwiches I've never tried one. read more

Was in here last night and it was pretty busy. I had to wait a little longer for my sub cause it seemed like a couple new people working. Overall my sub was awesome as always and a little wait never hurts. read more

Long wait time on opening weekend, but overall, worth it for a great sandwich. I like the cold sandwiches over the hot ones, though--the bread is very tasty and dries out with toasting, in my opinion. Lots of meat on the regular sandwiches, but the mini size is really small. I'm a deli fan, and I prefer other places to this one, but my kids sure like their subs. I like to see the meat cut in front of me. And it was quite good. Coupons make it excellent! read more

Excellent Service, Excellent food, fresh bread, fresh vegetables, very filling! And we will definitely will be going back in near future!

Great sandwiches! The staff it's always friendly. I like that the meat is cut fresh to order. They have the mini, regular and giant. You can order online and run in to pick up your order. They have a frequent shopper program. And I eat like my #11 sandwich Mike's way with mayo . read more

Received my bday sand-which and drink. No purchase needed. I went into this location and your employee Jose was immediately super helpful. He explained to me my options and prepared a very delicious sand-which. I try to limit my carbs, after telling him that, he provided me with many healthy choices for when I come back in the future. It's nice and refreshing to have such great customer service. I will definitely be back. read more

Worst jersey mikes i have ever experienced! This place has to be a franchise due to the lack of customer care! Today i spend 33minutes standing in line for a sandwich, there were only 6 people in front of me. The sandwich makers were slow and didn't care that the line was now out of the door and people were complaining of the wait time. The manager hid in the back while associates took the heat until a gentleman asked to speak to her and she didn't even say sorry! Wow! Now i get my sandwich To go and no napkins and i had to ASK for my receipt. I will never come back to this location. Step it up guys! Your 3 stars in yelp is more than you deserve read more

I went here yesterday and ....Wow! Seriously? You can't hire employees that will speak to a customer and help them out? The girl looked like she was in a daze and didn't speak at all even though I clearly needed help ordering my sandwich. She just stood there like a pole. The other guy was waiting to ring me up and only talked to the girl. I clearly looked to them for them to help me out, but got absolutely nothing. The guy making the sandwich was the only one speaking I guess because he drew the short straw? I definitely felt like there was some type of dislike for an older person being there. Maybe about three years ago I had gone to a Jersey Mike's in Kearny Mesa and their employees were like this and I never went back. I only went here because Submarina was closed. I liked the sandwich but is it worth it? I'm so disappointed in how employees are now. I've never seen such blatancy of not wanting to work but getting paid and they don't care because it isn't their business that will sink. read more

Ordered Jersey Mike's from this location through Postmates last night. My whole family was severely disappointed in the quality. Normally, we love Jersey Mike's, but this time it was as if they tried to moisten old dry bread with way too much condiments. There was so much mayo it caused one side of the bread to be soggy before.my order even arrived to my house. The rest of the bread was so hard my kids couldn't eat it and I barely even wanted to. Half of two giant subs and half a regular sub are sitting in my fridge today and will probably go to waste because they were almost nauseating to eat. The meat also tasted off, like it has been frozen and microwaved or something. All around truly terrible experience, and I am so upset I spent so much money on less than mediocre food. read more
