Bite has been on my husband's list for awhile because he's all about local small businesses. Any who, here is what we ordered.. Blue crab smothered fries 7/10 - So I don't know if they used fresh blue crab or in a tin, but nonetheless this was fairly good. Quite an innovative plate I would say.. I didn't know what to expect, maybe something more like a poutine...? The flavor of the blue crab and shrimp were seasoned very nicely. My only two recommendation would be... 1) they should make their fries fresh in-house - I could tell these were frozen fries and then 2) I would have like to see the "smothered" cheese/sauce be thicker because it was quite watery. Chicken alla vodka 6/10 - The crispy chicken cutlet was very good! Probably the best part of the dish. As for the vodka sauce - I thought that this was just okay and possibly its just my taste preference. There was a heavy taste of possibly too much cream? Or maybe even sour cream? I can't put my finger on it.. I don't know if it's me (it probably is), but I tasted even a hint of mustard...? Anywho... this dish was okay, the chicken really saved it for me. I recommend that they should do grated pecorino vs slices only because the cheese would be even distributed throughout the dish. The vodka pasta tasted better the next day as a leftover because I put a ton of parmesan cheese. Blueberry maple salmon 9/10 - My husband ordered this dish and I would agree that this dish was the winner of the night. Another innovative dish for a quaint local establishment. The salmon had a real nice crisp, cooked perfectly to medium, and there was a really nice smokey taste to the salmon. Overall a good dining experience - definitely small recommendations on a couple of the things we ordered on execution, but nonetheless we'd come back here to support.

There were a lot of customers in and out but the staff seemed to keep everything moving and there wasn't much of a wait for our lunches. After we placed our orders at the counter, we walked around the cute shop while we waited for our food to be ready. They have a big selection of specialty foods, most I have never seen in other stores. The prices on those packaged food seemed really high, but I don't have anything to compare them to so maybe that's what they cost elsewhere? We took our food to go and everything was fresh and tasty. I had a tartine with ricotta, dates, honey, and walnuts which was good and the pesto pasta salad which was even better. My husband commented that the tomato on his BLT actually tasted like a tomato, which isn't always the case this time of year. We hope to go back soon and try some of their other offerings.

Definitely a local establishment which is nice - we like supporting the small businesses. They definitely get a lot of traffic here and it looks like they do good business and they have good quality products. We didn't know this but you can also customize your sandwiches or do a custom order - we'll do that next time for sure. Sandwiches had a lot of meat - they were very generous hence the meat store lol. I definitely would recommend going here for lunch and it's actually quite affordable compared to prices nowadays.

At first glance, the portion also felt a little small. That said, by the end of the meal I was surprisingly full, so it ended up being more substantial than it looked. The sides were the stars. Don't skip the pickles. They have a nice crunch and a sneaky spicy kick that really cuts through the richness of the barbecue. The green beans were packed with salty pork goodness, and the potato casserole was easily the best thing on the table. Potatoes, cheese, and a crunchy topping? Hard to go wrong with that combination. I heard a few others things, too: The peach cobbler got positive feedback, the pulled pork sounded a little dry, and the special sandwich was apparently very good, though absolutely massive.
