Here's the deal: the sandwiches and tub in a subs are what they are. Decent and usually quick service! Unfortunately, every other time I order my sandwich (the #8)... I either get the wrong condiment (it calls for mayo) or a don't get the bacon (which is the WHOLE REASON why I order that sub). Most recently, my sub in a tub was soaked in YELLOW MUSTARD, plus I got a side of mustard on top of that? What the?! I never ordered mustard. I ordered it as is, Mike's Way through the app. When I called to ask if maybe there was an error on how I was ordering it on the app, I was told, "No. We just screwed up. And then, sorry... hope you have a nice day". I mean, thanks? When I have come in, I am kindly asked every time if I would like bacon and mayo, YES, that's why I ordered the #8. I realize, it's a simple question to ensure quality service. Even still, why do I have to make trips back to Jersey Mike's, or have to second guess my order by checking my food before I leave! After I am asked about bacon and mayo? I mean, COME ON! Not to mention, two people in my place of business had their food JACKED up in one day! I've had to come back multiple times to have them add the bacon, after showing them that it was missing. And it's getting frustrating... and sometimes there's an attitude with that bacon. Speaking of customer service, sometimes it is accommodating and apologetic when things get messed up, but more often than not it's dry and unfriendly (except for the guy who I think is the manager). It almost seems like the team hates their life and job. I get it, making subs isn't the dream job! Yes the sandwiches are good. The service not so much. Very slow. Make sure you check your order if you're picking up. Ordered and paid for a giant 13. Got a regular. My fault. I should have verified the $40 work of sandwiches I ordered were correct. Wrong size for one. Another one was made mikes way when we did not want it. On the visits I've made the parking lot has been completely full with people creating their own parking spots in the lot, creating problems with other cars being blocked off. Can you picture this anywhere else? You order fries at McDonald's, and nope, they won't make fries until someone else orders them? What kind of lazy policy is this? What if no one else orders a cheesesteak until closing time? Am I supposed to come back the next day? Are you always supposed to bring a cheesesteak buddy with you or something? I stopped by this restaurant around 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon to pick up a chicken philly cheesesteak sandwich. I pulled into the nearly-full parking lot and eased my car into one of the only two empty parking spaces. I went inside and got in line. There were only a single gentlemen and a family of three in line ahead of me, but for some reason the line did not move for about 5 minutes. Eventually these customers moved on to the register and it was my time to order. As I started to tell the young lady behind the counter what I wanted, another employee standing beside her began yelling at someone about 10 feet away beside the register. Every time I tried to say something, he drowned me out with his yelling. I decided to just stand there in silence until he stopped yelling, which he eventually did and I was able to place my order. I proceeded to the register and paid for my order. When I requested a receipt, the cashier told me that I would receive it along with my sandwich. After waiting for nearly 15 minutes, I asked the cashier why I hadn't received my sandwich. She told me that they hadn't been able to make my sandwich because the grill was being used to make sandwiches for other customers. Does this restaurant not have sufficient grill space to prepare hot sandwiches for multiple customers at a time? When I finally received my sandwich, I again asked the cashier for a receipt. She seemed flustered and asked another employee behind the counter how to generate a receipt. The other employee explained it to her, and I finally got my receipt and gladly exited the restaurant. This is the third time this has happened and has forced me to write this review. I wish it was an isolated incident: however it is not. I used to go to Subway a good deal of the time, but once I stepped foot inside a Jersey Mike's I've never been back. Jersey Mike's is a bit pricier, but you can absolutely taste the quality difference. With this specific one on Jackson, there's an added factor of excellent customer service as well. I walked into this place on the first week it opened and unsurprisingly, the line was long. I thought it might be a 15-20 minute wait but the employees there sped through and I had a sandwich in my hand within 10 minutes. My sandwich was prepared by whom I later found out was the manager; it was refreshing to see him on the line with his fellow employees, providing quick and friendly service. I believe his name was Jordan but I could be wrong. Regardless, as much as I love my Jersey Mike's in Rancho San Diego, I think I may be going out of my way to go to this location. First 2 times DOORDASH drivers got away with our order. I called 10 mins to closing and told them the situation. They were very apologetic, even though it was no fault of theirs, entirely DOORDASH. So they made our order a 3rd time and I had to find someone to pick it up for me. Let me first start off by saying I love Jersey Mike's! Their Sandwiches are great, but a little over priced. Anyway, I'm a creature of habit and usually get the same thing #13 Italian, but I do dabble with the occasional Big Kahuna or Philly Cheesesteaks. Twice I have gone for the Roast Beef and both times have been disappointed. The meat is super dry and no matter how much Mayo, mustard or dressing it's very dry. Then I get home, and it's on the wrong bread. Not a huge deal, but the main reason I'm leaving a review is because of the customer service. The people that were working in there were not welcoming at all. They spoke very quietly, and just seemed very unpleasant. Went to Jersey Mikes La Mesa on 1-4-24 at 1:50 pm to order 2 subs. No one but me was in the store. I am a senior citizen. After ordering my sandwiches, the worker at the register called me to pay even though my sandwiches were not made. I told him that I wanted to watch my sandwiches being made. When I went back to the girl who was making the sandwiches, she looked me right in the eye, very sarcastically and rudely asked me if I was bored today. I said no why? She said don't you trust me to make your sandwiches? Who would talk to the customer like that. I said no I'm not bored, I want to watch my sandwiches bring made, is that okay.. When I called the manager to report this, he took the employee's side. Jordan, the manager said he thought everything ended up good with everyone laughing. No I was not laughing. I told him I thought the girl making my sandwiches was acting like a B----. This upset him greatly even though he did not care how rude she was to me. Review based on experience. The only good experience was when my order was taken by the slicer. I ordered a giant roast beef and a giant famous philly. I was given my ticket to pay for 2 sandwiches and didn't realize that the girl had only charged me for one. So my name was on the ticket and she calls me sir your order is ready than I asked where's the second sandwich and she said you only ordered one and the slicer jumped in and said he had 2 but with a tone of attitude asked for my ticket that I've already given to her to ring up and responded I GAVE TO YOU to pay for. So she had to look for the ticket in the trash or wherever she puts it in then said she only charged me for one. Instead of just standing there doing nothing and cashing out, first, she needs to pay attention to what she is ringing up and take accountability for her mistakes instead of giving attitude and not apologizing for here error. This was actually my first time there. Heard their food was good.... I Tried the Turkey + Provalone on wheat. I stopped by on a Wednesday around noon.... The parking lot was very small, + full, with cars coming from both directions. I just parked across the street, + walked over, and suggest you do the same, (or near by), unless you see spots open. The place was very busy with tons of orders. A little bit of a wait, but not long thanks to the Employees doing a Great Job. They were Really working their b..ts off. I'm cheap, so the prices are a little steep, but worth it. The sandwiches meat is far better than that other "sub-par way" sandwich shop, in my opinion, and, a regular actually had me as full as a ft long from the other place. Like I said,...I think the meat is far better from Jersey Mike's. I recommend you at least try it out, and decide for yourself, if your thinking about it. This review is regarding online ordering. Out of the 6-7 times I've ordered and picked up, my order is incorrect. I keep hoping it'll improve because I really enjoy their food. I will give up on the ordering online after today. Even when they try to "fix" the situation, it's just another problem. I once called the store about their mistake, was told my name would be written down in their book for free sandwiches next visit. When I went in a few days later, I discovered my name wasn't written anywhere. Fortunately they did honor the free sandwiches since I had detailed info. That's why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Yet again on my order today , they seem to put whatever they want on your sandwiches regardless of what options you choose--that's if you even get the sandwich type you ordered. I ordered 7 sandwiches through the the jersey mikes app. When my order gets delivered there was a missing sandwich. I called them and they already knew that we were missing a sandwich in our big order. We had already paid a delivery fee and everything. We kept being persistent about how we should not have to go pick up the sandwich ourself for their mistake. The store manager said that they would have a driver deliver it and they did.
