The avocado was completely brown. I have photo and video evidence. I immediately called the store because the sandwich was for my girlfriend who was immediately disgusted the Manager Bobby said it's my fault for coming before they close and that they usually serve that no problem never gotten an issue except for me. That's exactly what he said and he said there was nothing I could do about it no refund that's how they serve their food. He said that I could come in and speak with the general manager, and that the general manager would tell me the same thing I told them it's unacceptable for them to serve food that way, especially if they charge others about four dollars. I wanted to go back so badly as they made me furious. But Bobby repeated that I could do absolutely nothing. If I ever go back there and find out that these crooked careless people are charging so much for this type of low quality is unacceptable. These two need to be fired immediately. I got the chicken with ranch and bacon sandwich, which was fairly good. The bacon was too overcooked for me tho. The soda machine was seltzer, which I told them and had to wait for them to replace it. The staff there were all nice. My employer brought in a few boxes of mini subs from Jersey Mike's on Jamacha in El Cajon. All of the condiments and veggie toppings (lettuce tomato and onion) were served on the side so each person could customize to their liking. The sandwiches were meat and cheese only which was great for taking some home. They didn't get all gross. We had five varieties to choose from. Super Sub: Provolone, ham, prosciuttini and cappacuolo (their spelling, not mine). Sub Club: Turkey, ham, provolone, applewood smoked bacon & mayo Club Sub: Roast beef, turkey, Swiss, applewood smoked bacon and mayo Jersey Shore: Provolone, ham, and cappacuolo Original Italian: Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni. We were in the area since our kids school was playing Granite Hills. So we came to pick up some sandwiches to eat in the football stands. Unfortunately our Kahuna not only looked haphazardly put together, it also didn't have enough meat. About 1/4 to 1/3 of the bun was completely bare. Super disappointing as we've always been so pleased with our sandwiches at the Jersey Mike's near our home (Otay Ranch Mall in Chula Vista) The filling we did have tasted good and was cooked well. First off.... jersey mikes as a whole - I love. This review is in particular to this location as I happened to be in the neighborhood and craving my go to veggie wrap. I had two major concerns regarding today's experience. 1) I didn't notice this until I sat down to eat and opened up my wrap. But it was oddly cut in a near horizontal manner that made absolutely no sense. Who would hold a wrap (similar to a burrito) in this way? It made it so hard to hold and unappealing as it forced me to take bites where the contents were not as evenly spread. It was like he was trying to cut sandwich triangles out of my wrap. 2) there was a hair on my pickle. So sad. By then I had lost my appetite after already annoyed by the point #1 above. I'm putting this out there to encourage this location to review their training on how to cut wraps and do better with sanitation. Went in to order. One person slicing meat three others look like they are standing around. I was the only one standing at the counter. No one acknowledged I was even there. Jersey Mike's must be very popular in San Diego because they just keep popping up everywhere, even during a pandemic, that certainly has to say something about them. Anyways, I stopped by this sleek retro style Jersey Mike's and ordered the #9 or Club Supreme which came with "Roast beef, Swiss, applewood smoked bacon and raised without antibiotics turkey, mayo" -Jersey Mikes, 2020, and I had it Mike's Way of course. I had the sandwich on a wheat roll. It was very good and came with a very good amount of roast beef, turkey, bacon, and a modest amount of Swiss cheese. It was no doubt a delicious combination of deli meats and cheese. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, and the combination of Mike's dressing was quite tasty. El Cajon location is dirty and is employing no food safety. Horrendous food safety, pics below. The employee was picking her nose using her gloved hand, then was putting the bare sandwich on the electrical cords, using her gloved hand to answer and be on the phone then proceed to use the same unwashed and same gloves to prepare food. Adrianna is management and I tried to inform her about the unsafe practices. She finally responded, never requested a photo and just said she'd try to inform them of the food safety issues. As you can see in the photo the cord has sticky electrical tape on it and the sandwich is laying on top. Absolutely vomitous behavior. And the employee preparing the sandwich to the right was picking her nose, her ears, and in general I was sick looking at everything going down. These reviews here cant be real... I just had the 2 grossest sandwiches of my adult life. I tried a few bites of the "Famous Philly" and some of the "Chicken Philly" and they were terrible and mind you, that includes the fake meat stuff they have been selling at places and that subway "steak" which, I am 50/50 about whether or not its really "steak." Yes this is worse than the "steak" sandwich at subway. All I could taste was a soggy salty mess. That cheese is absolutely disgusting. Calling it "American" cheese is actually insulting. For $10 a 6 inch you can do better than that. Get some Muenster, Swiss or a decent Colby or Jack. So aside from the bad taste, there was a problem with the bread. They melt the cheese, which sounds good. Who doesnt like a toasted sub right? But the problem is the entire sandwich becomes very soggy. This is probably due to the cheap cheese or maybe cheap meat, I honestly dont know the source of all the oil and moisture, but the bread was just mush. The bread is just too soft and airy (aka cheap bread) and it just cant handle the moisture. The sandwich looked like it was dipped in water by the time I got home and I live less than a mile away... Last, they are so stingy with the vegetables. I could count the number of red pepper bits with one hand in each sandwich... there were literally 2 slices of tomatoes in each sandwich which barely covered maybe 50% of the sandwich. Come on... All in all this was the equivalent of those microwave sandwiches you get from Costco. Yes its that bad. read more

I'm a big fan of Jersey Mike's. I love the new location and the nice employees at this location. I have been here many of times and I always order The Veggie Sandwich on Rosemary with grilled onions. So upon this last visit when it was time for me to tell the young man what I wanted he asked "Do you want this Mike's way"? So I ordered a sub from here off DoorDash, and DoorDash wasn't giving me extra options to add toppings to my sub. So I called them and asked if they could add what I wanted to the sub and they were so kind, even sounded happy when answering the phone. I go inside every once in a while and they're always jampacked but treat people with respect and always have a smile on their face and are super inviting. I definitely recommend this place! I'm not sure about what might've happened in the past with some of their previous workers, but the people that work there now are amazing! I would go as far as to say they deserve a raise because every time I go in there there's a line and people sitting down and dining and it's always full, they always have a lot on their plate but they never make it feel like it's a burden to them. read more
