What a wonderful surprise! My son and I have been doing research on Philly Cheesesteak subs in the area and WOW! This is the winner beyond all others! We shared a Giant Cheesesteak and there was enough to share with someone else! And they used White American cheese just like on the East Coast. It was so awesome we ordered another one 2 days later and passed up steak dinners at home! Service was fast and staff attentive and helpful on our first trip there. I ordered a large Club Sub which includes bacon as one of the primary ingredients. I was told, "We don't have any bacon". I agreed but requested more meat on the sandwich as a substitution and was told, "I can't do that", but was expected to pay full price ($19.43). As I made my way down the condiment section, I see in plain view some bacon and pointed that out to the next employee who told me, "The boss told us to save that for the BLT customers". This is a classic customer service fumble, a leadership catastrophe, and an operational disaster. I'll be solution based to help them out (owner in particular). Appropriate actions: 1. First come - First served (Not a new concept). 2. Place a sign on the door indicating "said" subs are not available at this time and apologize for the inconvenience. 3. Charge the customer for a sandwich of lesser value OR 4. Offer a courtesy fountain beverage (less of a financial compromise than branded chips, cookies, etc.) 5. NEVER instruct your team to tell a customer their sandwich is less of a priority than another customer's BUT their money is... NOTE TO OWNER: A closed fist can neither give nor receive. A blessed business requires humility, a solid value system and the ability to discern that customers are the most invaluable asset to a business's growth and development. read more

Pay no mind to any of the bad reviews!!! This place is my go-to and has NEVER failed to impress the last 4 yrs I have lived in this neighborhood. I walked in the other night, right before closing (probably 4-5mins before closing), and was greeted immediately with my order ready to be taken. Communication was on point between the staff, and as the young lady was cutting my Turkey for the California Club, another gentleman was ready to prepare the other half of my sandwich. Apparently this employee was new, but, was eager to learn and willing to smile through it all. Another employee stepped in and explained that for the California Club, the avocado is the first ingredient to be added to the bread. After a nice helping of avocado, the rest was completed like a well orchestrated and rehearsed dance...Mike's way. Crisp lettuce, bright red tomatoes, beautifully sliced white onions, salt/pepper, seasoning, oil & vinegar. While they are adding your toppings, you can always tell them more or less of the added ingredients. I usually get extra vinegar ('cuz I'm a weirdo), but, everything was moving along so nicely, and I was engaged in a conversation about avocados and the enjoyment of food found much later in life, that before you know it, my sandwich was perfectly wrapped and ready to go. Jersey points added and I was out the door in record time having enjoyed my few minutes inside. When I got home, my sandwich was so beautiful, it looked like the commercial and tasted even better. Thank you for always taking care of me, especially when I walk in right before closing and making the best sandwiches. I also recommend the #55 Big Kahuna Chicken Cheese Steak, that's my boyfriends go-to sandwich, and my substitute when I want something more rib clinging. It's better the 2nd day as a leftover. Had a bad experience last Saturday (10/5/2013) on FM 1960 in Houston near Jones Road. It is sad when I pay the premium for a JM sub and get less meat than what comes on a subway sub. I am not a happy camper. My wife said the person was not someone that she has seen on the slicer before and she goes in at least once a week...sometimes more. Is Jersey Mikes starting to cut back on product but expecting to still get the same premium price? I am normally very happy but this was absolutely a horrible lunch today. Would call it more of a meat flavored bread that is how little meat there was. When I tried to call for the manager guess what? Yepper...no manager in the store on a Saturday afternoon. How do you not have a manager in the store to keep things moving smoothly and making sure that people are doing what they are supposed to? Very disappointing...VERY disappointing Here we are a week later and...you guessed it...no contact from the store and the only contact from the corporate office was someone telling me to fill out complaint online (which I had already done). VERY disappointing. I wish I had never told my friends to go to this store in NW Houston. Not even CLOSE to the same as the one on Kirby and the one on Westhiemer. Guess it is back to Lenny's for me. LOL...My wife just tried to call them again to see if they were going to do something about last Saturday's crappy experience, and mind you it is noon here in Texas, and you know what he said? NOTHING! Why? Because there is no manager in the store AGAIN. I've never had "Jersey Mike's" before and this was my first time and this review will be based on this location. I mean they are supposed to be representing Jersey Mike are they not? I walk in, it looks clean, that's good. Then when I start talking to the people behind the counter it starts going downhill. They were just busy on their phones and goofing around in the back. that didnt bother me too much as long as i got a good sandwich. But, alas, I didnt get a good sandwich. The girl ringing me up was nice but then disappeared. the guy who made my sandwich i think was a bit absent minded. He asked me a few times what i had on my sandwich when the girl wrote the order and put it right next to him. Even after he was done, he forgot some sauce on it. I am really tired of going to a place to pick up fast food, like JERSEY MIKE'S, and coming home to find my order is wrong. Is it so hard to listen to what the customer wants and make the food to order? Do we have to watch like a hawk and check the orders before leaving to make sure it's correct? And, to have the expectation of a tip built right into the credit card processing system? That's pretty offensive. I paid an extra dollar as a tip, got home, and the order was wrong. Do managers know how to train and follow through on training? Are the people working in these places just really incompetent? I called out Jersey Mike's because they only get my order right about half the time. If you work in one of these places and provide quality customer service and confirm orders are complete and correct before providing the food to your guest, then this complaint is not about you. I appreciate the pride you take in your work. I just wish more people took that same kind of pride. And, before anyone comes back and tells me to make my own food, if I want it my way, please know that I can't finish a loaf of bread, a tomato, or a head of lettuce before it goes bad. Then, I'm throwing away food that cost as much as if I went to pick up fast food, plus the lost time (ie. money) of shopping and preparing the food. It's ingrained in me to feel bad wasting food. And, I don't want to eat the same thing for days on end trying to avoid this waste. So, if you're an employee or a manager out in fast-food land (Jason's, Zoe's, Firehouse, La Madeleine, etc.), please take more care in your job. Chik-Fil-A is a great example. They always confirm my order. Rarely have they gotten my order wrong, and when I do order their waffle fries, they are ALWAYS fresh. My two cents. read more

Watched as a server put her hair in a ponytail and out in her hat without washing her hands and then put on her gloves. She then made two sandwiches after wiping her gloved hand on her nose. She then put onions on my sandwich that I did not want then just took them off. Then she put seasoning on the I didn't ask for. The first time I had Jersey Mikes I had just left the hospital after a false labor scare with my son. The doctor gave me some medicine through my IV to make my loopy and I was so out of it, I just wanted to eat.
