I ordered at the counter the 3 piece roasted chicken combo for $13. The meal comes with one side dish which I chose dirty rice, a yeast roll and large drink. The food was ready in less than 5 minutes. I was given 2 legs and 2 thighs (thank you) and the meat was hot and flavorful. It was good tasting roasted chicken. The dirty rice was a little moist but still flavorful with a nice pepper slant to it. The yeast roll was pillow soft and delicious. This meal was a hit and I'm glad I stopped in. The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Wanting to make sure the chicken he had ready was acceptable he gave me a sample and I enjoyed it. Also while the dining area was clean the self serve drink machine wasn't working. However he offered to give refills from behind the counter if needed. I rated this visit a 3.5 but will round up for Yelp purposes. I hope that I found a Golden Chick hit at this location.

I visited the location at 1960 and Fallbrook and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more Initially, I had to return because my order was missing the toast. While I understand the confusion regarding the egg was my mistake, the overall quality of the meal was unacceptable--the lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes were soggy. After returning, it took approximately 15 minutes for a manager to assist me. Both Liz and the manager displayed a nonchalant attitude and did not offer an apology. Instead, I was simply asked if I wanted another salad. When I expressed my concerns, I was told the items come premade and was given multiple excuses. At that point, I declined the offer for a replacement. Given the inconvenience, poor food quality, and lack of customer service, I did not feel confident accepting another meal from this location. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing, and it does not reflect the level of service I would expect.

The young lady who took my order was friendly, helpful, and provided excellent customer service. What puzzled me was how quickly my food came out. By the time I put my wallet away and walked over to find a seat, my order was already ready. I initially assumed the cook had been listening as I ordered and that the freshly grilled chicken had just come off the grill, been tossed in the sauce and boxed up. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I got home about five minutes later, and the chicken was only barely warm. It tasted like it had been cooked an hour earlier and then tossed with sauce before being served to me. The rice was also very dry and clumpy instead of light and fluffy. Had the chicken been hot and the rice not clumpy , my experience would have been much better. While the customer service was excellent, the quality of the food wasn't a five star for me. I'm not sure I'll be returning.

From the beginning of my order, I felt that my requests were not being accommodated, which was frustrating. When I got to the window to pick up my food, I reached out and took the bag from the employee (Her name is Sunshine), she immediately said "Wow, you are rude". then closed the drive-thru window. I motioned for her to reopen the window because I wanted to address the situation but instead I was told to "move it along" because there was another customer waiting behind me. As a paying customer, I felt dismissed and very dissatisfied. I don't believe speaking to a customer that way or ending the interaction by shutting the window is appropriate. Do better with your employees' training and work ethic, Panda Express.
