The owners of XCrispy spent a year transforming a run-down former Pizza Hut from an eyesore into a nicely remodeled, open space, blending halal traditions with American comfort staples like smashburgers, chopped cheese, and chicken over rice. X Crispy is near my job, so I was excited to try them. I saw they had breakfast options, and they had a steak, egg and cheese sandwich, which oddly enough isn't offered in many places in CNY, so that was the first thing I tried. You're able to customize, so I got it on a roll with "mixed cheese" & their house sauce. I ordered online, and their online ordering option is easy to use and allows substitutions. It was ready as soon as I got there, which was around 10AM on a Saturday. It was delicious, still hot and fresh even though it was already ready when I got there. My only complaint was there wasn't enough house sauce on it for my taste, but it was still delicious, piled high with steak. My second time, my wife wanted to give it a try, and we got some dinner items. We ordered online again, a smash burger and one of their crispy chicken sandwiches. We asked for several things on the side, as we were taking it to go and had about a 35 minute drive with it. We got it home and unfortunately were disappointed. Both items were dry, the chicken sandwich almost seemed like it was frozen, and all items that were asked for on the side were simply removed and left out from our order. I didn't think we would return after that, but I just kept seeing good review after good review and thought...this has to have been an off day, or the food simply doesn't travel well. So I gave them another try over the weekend when I was craving a cheese burger and knew I had time to eat it there. I, again, ordered online and got the smash hit burger with fries, and left out tomato and lettuce as I'm not a fan on smash burgers. And they definitely redeemed themselves. Again, food was ready as soon as I got there, was fresh, the burger was moist, juicy, seasoned well, and not only did it have the sauce on it, I was also given extra on the sides, so I have to chalk the one time up to a bad day, and everyone's allowed that. I will continue to go back, but more than likely, only when I'm able to eat right there.

I've had just about all the chain sandwich shops you can imagine, but strangely hadn't had a Firehouse sub before until very recently. Firehouse seems to hang their hat (helmet?) on supporting first responders and service members, and I commend the for that. Looking for a quick dinner, I stopped here to get a sub for the ride home. Right away, I was struck by all of the hot options they had on the menu. I was very tempted to go with a meatball sub but this was going to be a car dinner and no one needs a meatball on the floor or sauce on the shirt. I landed on the Sub on a Club - honey ham, turkey, bacon, Monterrey Jack, and the fixings. It took a bit longer to prepare than I anticipated but I think the wait was worth it. The bacon was freshly prepared and the sandwich was served warm - nice! The person checking me out and the sandwich maker were very welcoming and friendly. I always appreciate that at 8 pm on a Thursday night. The sandwich was excellent. Nice mix of meats, crisp bacon, and their deli mustard had a nice flavor. They have one of the Coke Freestyle machines if you like to full alchemist with your drink choices. Conveniently located on Route 11 and near a 481 on-ramp, Firehouse Subs is a nice spot to hit when your sandwich alarm is going off.

I normally dont eat at sonic. Always loved the blizzards. I once ate at this same location when…read morethey first opened and had a chicken sandwich which was very nice i could recall. Upon this time our food came very fast. It was around NOON. I must say the food is alright altogether i got a burger with the special sauce they have for it. Which came with fries i had cheese on. And a chocolate shake! As much as i love tater tots, i never ordered taters! I dont know if they ran out of fries. But i ended up with cheese tots. The burger had nothing wrong with it but for the price of it id rather go save money and have a better tasting burg at Mcdonalds. Or spend the same amount for a way better burg. That sauce saved it though. But guys! Let me tell you! I am NOT a chocolate shake guy! Some guys like the sky more than the ground, some guys prefer cooking rather than eating out, and some either order vanilla or chocolate shakes. Vanilla gang all the way for me. But i don't get it. I like chocolate shakes but its a rarity cause a-lot of chocolate shakes don't do it for me. The flavor profile of some chocolate shakes are just not good to me. But SONIC has one of the BEST chocolate shakes. I cant undo that statement. For a run of the mill shake with nothing added to it or anything special to taste that good is insane. I got it twice from this place and both times had no flukes. Imagine a Hershey bar just melted in with milk. BITEscale: Service: 4/10 (if you don't have fries, tell me, id rather save my cash instead of spending it on something i don't want) Taters: 6/10 (i didn't want them at all but they weren't that bad either) Burger w/ special sauce: 5/10 (overpriced to me its just something they need on the menu) Chocolate Shake: 9.5/10 (im not kidding i dont drink chocolate shakes, so with that said , just try it and you wont be disappointed)

I had the Chicken Rice plate (small) and it did not disappoint in flavor nor price (where can you get lunch for 9.99 these days anyway!?). When my partner and I walked in, we were greeted by a man at the counter and mentioned it was our first time visiting. His response was about as uninterested as it gets. Instead of offering a menu or any guidance, he simply pointed off to the side and told us to order when we were ready. Not exactly a welcoming first impression. The space itself was small, with a few tables, drink coolers, baked goods, and smoothie options. After placing our order, we waited...and waited. After exactly 40 minutes, I finally asked about the status, especially after watching another couple come in after us, order, and leave with their food before we received ours. I understand that takeout and delivery orders are part of the business, but in-house customers should not be completely overlooked. There was no communication, no sense of urgency, and no effort to acknowledge the delay. It genuinely felt like we didn't matter as customers. And for what? Two sandwiches--a roast beef and a turkey. Having worked in restaurants myself, I can confidently say that should not take 40 minutes under normal circumstances. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. We will not be returning. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.
