Lunchtime is busy here, but as you stand on a pretty long line you realize it's going quickly because they are doing a great job. They had about 5-6 choices of soup. My friend had the NE Clam Chowder, and she said it was very good. Our sandwiches had a good amount of meat and the bread was very fresh. Appears there is no way to email corporate, so I'll state my complaint here and hope they read it. Ordered the Clam Chowder soup today and wow - it tastes like a salt lick to the point of being unhealthy. I'm betting there was over 2,000mg of salt in that one quart container. The name of the soup is "Clam Chowder" but where are the clams? All we got were tiny specs of what may have been clam pieces but not big enough to taste. If the soup was made with cream, I would be surprised. My guess is the base was a rue made from flour, water and some sort of oil. Could have been butter but could not find any ingredients listing. Hate being so negative about the soup but salt is supposed to enhance flavors - not be the main ingredient. If this is an award winning soup - someone better taste it again at the Liverpool location. Corporate evidently doesn't want any feedback since their website lacks any email addresses or complaint / suggestion forms. read more

Another great Yelp find. I was in the area, searched for sandwiches, and this was the closest place. And let me tell you...what a find. Fresh, huge, delicious sandwiches. They have sweets, pasta, and salads too. The bread was soft. But above all...bring an appetite as the sandwiches are loaded and big; about the size of two sandwiches. I can say this place probably gets busy in the spring/summer during lunchtime, but they seem to have a good system to move it along. Amazing sandwiches to be had here. Everything is made to order and the line moves very efficiently. The sandwiches are big so I recommend getting a half sandwich if you're not a big eater. Placed an order a veggie sub sandwich. I wanted it on a sub roll. They don't bake their bread fresh, yes it's frozen and the bread hasn't defrosted as of 11:30 am. Next the veggie sandwich is to have zucchini and they are out. Out of zucchini as a main element of the vegetable sandwich? How does that happen? So I asked the question to the guy ringing up the orders. His reply: their fresh produce arrives Monday and when they run out they are out for the week. I repeated back to him what he said and he said yes that's how it works. So if you come in on Saturday and they are out of items to make the sandwiches then they are out. Just horrid. My first and last trip to this deli. I can't recommend it to anyone. It's really sad because based upon the reviews I was excited And went out of my way to get subs from them. read more

That's always a good sign. i had corned beef on rye and my friends had turkey on light rye. I grew up on local (NYC) Jewish delis so my corned beef was too thinly sliced - I like thick slabs. The bread wasn't rye... It really seemed line whole wheat. Maybe that's a local thing because the locals had "light rye" for their turkey and it looked like the rye bread I know. Anyway. You go to the front counter to place, pay and obtain your order and then you can choose your seating choice (inside or outside) or take your order to go. I visited the Buckley Road location recently and was turned off by a tall black female sandwich maker wiping her runny nose on her sleeve. Gross! I waited for a different sandwich maker. I got a whole corned beef on dark rye with lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese. I was getting it to go so requested Russian dressing on the side. Not too complicated! Hands down the best sandwiches in the Liverpool, North Syracuse, Cicero area. Let's start with the bread. It is so soft and melts in your mouth like cotton candy. No matter if its white or dark rye it's all soft. Now for the meats yeah you've heard arby's say "they have the meats" but Brooklyn Pickle has the meats and they've done it right. Meats are tender and seasoned so well you'd think you just cut it yourself. I ordered 3 sandwiches while I was here. A turkey, corned beef, and a Pastrami all to share. I wish I could tell you what one was the best but, it's to close to call. All three were spectacular. All piled high with meat and vegetables. These are some sandwich artists they have here. What they do is art, I get so much on my bread I'm not sure how they can cut it. They do this without making a sloppy sandwich. So well put together it's not even messy when I eat it. The woman who served us today was so rude. We ordered around 12:30 pm. They don't wear name tags, but she was wearing a necklace with an image of a person, and she had a bun. It was our first time here and I came with my individuals who I have to look after. They have to pay separately as per the homes rules, and they have to stay with me. When we ordered the first sandwich and she asked if we were paying together, we told her separate. She snapped at my individual saying "next time just say seperate!". First of all, I work as a food server as well and its not hard to talk to people with basic respect. Second, she acted like anything we ordered was an annoyance, so I wound up not ordering half of what we were going to get. Third, we gave this place a chance, this first time will be our last time here. It was a Saturday and there is a sign on the door saying they are closing at 3:00. We figure no problem as it was 2:35 and we're getting food to go. The wife ordered a sub. They are out of plain sub rolls except their "everything" sub roll. She opts for a sandwich on white. I'm thinking a roast beef on an everything roll sounds good. I wish this roll was day old. It's set up like a subway restaurant, but with sandwiches too, and more choices. The sandwiches are huge, maybe 4 by 7? Service was fast, there are plenty of tables in and outdoors, and if you want pickles, there's a cute pocket for them when they wrap your sandwich. Great place to meet up with someone. read more

Disclosure: First timer therefore my expecations were fair. I didn't see a Reuben on the menu board but it appeared they had what it took to make one. Indeed they do make this popular sandwich and apparently it's a go to for a lot of their customers. I questioned that it was made like all other Reubens, but unfortuantely it is not. The meat is warmed however the bread is not toasted. I was there and craving it so I gave it a go. It may not seem like a huge deal but since this was take-out I had my concerns that it would be soggy from the sauerkraut. Well my intuitions were correct; I had to place it in the toaster over at work in an attempt to firm the bread back up. I give the portion size a 5/5, the price at a 4/5, but the lack of toaster/pininni maker is a deal breaker for me. Horrible! Went to the Buckley road location. Preordered 2 rubens. What I got were corned beef sandwiches. When I brought it to the managers attention she said it didn't have sauerkraut? I said no it had lettuce no cheese and it wasn't warm. It's a corned beef sandwich. Have been a Brooklyn Pickle fan and customer for 20+ years. Work near the W.Genny St location and have been there often, was excited to see one coming to the north suburbs. Stopped this past Thursday 600pm-ish. Layout of restaurant was little odd. Especially if you're at sandwich station near coolers. Extremely tight fit there. Ordered the Brooklyn Pickle on a sub roll to go. Woman behind counter had trouble finding the whole sub rolls. (Which was no biggee, I wasn't in a hurry) After walking around for a bit, she found them and came back and said "the Brooklyn Pickle? Right?" To which I replied "Yes, Thank You". What I got when I got home was a Roast Beef sub with very little lettuce, 2 tomato slices, mayo and swiss. Not only was it not what I ordered, it was not the normal portions I had grown accustomed to from previous BP visits at other locations. It was a tiny sub on a big roll. As I sat in disappointment that I got the wrong sub I was thinking "where's the meat?". I ate it anyways, I wasn't going to drive back after getting home already. It was as tasty as any BP sub I've had in the past. The service itself was great. Friendly staff as used to at BP. No waiting when I arrived, I was able to walk direct to the counter. Yes, the layout in there is odd, but it is a huge room. Getting in and out of the parking lot is tricky. It's one of the busiest roads in the area. Turning left is a chore, and a challenge. Hopefully something will change in the future. As far as the sub. Yes its BP, but apparently all new staff. Seems a learn as you go situation. No biggee, I'll go back again, and again, its Brooklyn Pickle for crying out loud. Hopefully this location will get up to par with the others soon. Happy to have it in the neighborhood. read more

Saturday 9/2020 ordered a julienne salad. Gal takes it out of a cooler and adds meat and cheese. This salad had to have been in that cooler many days. The cucumbers were so degraded that they were absolutely slim. Some of the greens were slimy and most lettuce was brown. I can tolerate a bit of rust on lettuce but this was beyond that! Have always enjoys their subs/sandwiches but stay away from the salads. I've had better at McDonald's. read more

This place did not disappoint at all, a bit confusing as they have huge counter space and at least to me no identifiable place to order. We LOVE Brooklyn pickle. We typically eat at the one off Buckley Rd. The staff is extremely friendly, the food is delicious. We've tried the Italian sandwich, the Roast pork sandwich and a few others. A half size sandwich is enough to fill me up, and I'm usually a big eater. Used delivery for my brother's 71st birthday during COVID-19 because we usually get together, in-person, to have a birthday dinner together! This year, I was able to order from the Capital Region with the local Brooklyn Pickle in Liverpool to deliver to their door. And during the Order there was a "problem"! Both Brooklyn Pickle locations ran out of ham and 2 of the items were ham! But have no fear, Susan called me (remember I'm out in the Capital Region) and I asked if she could call the number I put in the "special notes" area because I was making this order from Albany for my brother's 71st birthday and the food is for them. Not only did she call them and they got to tell them what to get in exchange but she also caught my mistake in the area code while on the phone with me AND when she called the house, got the changes and said "Happy Birthday to whomever's birthday it is" and provided chocolate chip cookies for everyone! I loved Brooklyn Pickle and order or eat in every time we are in town. But now, I love them even more because they not only provided great food but delivered it and provided a service that made everyone smile! I'd give you 5M starts if possible. Just had this and I should of gone to 5Guys. There was nothing Brooklyn about this place. The bread should be toasted for one thing no one likes soggy bread from the 8 table spoons of Mayo.
