We had a great time. Owner was very helpful. Very nice guy, very fun night out. If you never tried axe throwing, this is the place to go

I went here yesterday with my girlfriend and we had a great time. Dave was such a great help, I highly suggest going to this establishment versus any other high priced axe throwing company. It is BYOB AND BYOF

Great experience coming here, Dave is a great teacher and lots of fun. We came with our friends and had a blast. The vibes were great!

Firstly, this is such a creative idea of a day/night out. I had so much fun, although I lost all of the games. Dave, was the best instructor ever! He was super helpful and patient with me. I must I admit I was a little nervous throwing an axe but he helped ease that for sure! He gave me new axes till I found my perfect match. You can BYOB and BYOF (food) which is a super perk. I say go! Great service! Great games! A great time!

My husband and I and also another couple came here for a double date last minute and was welcomed by Dave! I want to shoutout Dave, the best axe thrower teacher. We played different games as Dave kept score and gave us pointers along the way! This was the first time experience for all of us and we HAD SO MUCH FUN! He has different size axes, shows you how to throw with one or two hands, and it was about $21 for each person! You can bring your own drinks and food and just enjoy some axe throwing! Dave really was accommodating, no need for a reservation. Temperature taken at the door and you still have a great time with your masks on! Definitely coming bac

If you're tired of bowling and arcade games, why not try axe/hatchet throwing? It's a fun,…read morestress-relieving group activity that allows you to bond with other people. Stumpy's Hatchet House is the first indoor axe throwing venue in the US. We visited the Fairfield location on Route 46 West. It's located inside a large office complex that has plenty of parking. The entrance is in a little corner. It may look small at first, but looks are deceiving - it's a lot more spacious inside. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly staff member in the lobby/check-in area. The ambiance and decor is ON POINT! It's a very rustic atmosphere with a lumberjack theme - you'll feel like you're in a cozy cabin. Take some time to look at their wall decor and merchandise. Reservations (deposit required) are highly recommended, especially for larger groups on the weekends. They do accept walk-ins, but only if there's available room. We came on a Sunday at 5pm without any reservations and it was surprisingly empty. You can book for 1-3 hours. Smaller groups (4 and under) are booked for 1 hour, while larger groups (5 and over) are booked for 2 or 3 hours. Pricing is based on how many hours you book for and is charged per person. They also have a 20% discount for military and first responders. We paid $60 for an hour ($30 each for 2 of us) and signed our waivers. Stumpy's has 10 hatchet pits, each with two targets and plenty of room for the participants. There are tables, chairs, and comfy sofas. It's BYOB (beer + wine only) and you can even bring your own food. They have a "bar" with light snacks and soft drinks available for purchase. An axe throwing instructor gave us a tutorial on safety, how to throw the axe, and how to use the interactive game system. Unfortunately I forgot his name, but he was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. He checked in on us and gave us some tips/suggestions to correct our form. You can simply hurl your axes at the target or you can choose from a variety of interactive hatchet throwing games on a touch screen system. In addition to axe throwing, they also have darts and giant games (like Jenga). It took awhile for me to get the hang of it.... but I finally activated the lumberjack in me and got around to hitting a couple of bullseyes!!! This was a fun experience overall. The atmosphere was lively, music was good, and the interactive games kept us entertained for an hour. I recommend trying axe throwing as a way to bond with people over some friendly competition or to release stress in a productive manner! Not to mention... it's also a great work out ;) Put that upper body and core to work... and hurl that axe like you mean it!

It took a while for my friend and I to get the hang of it, but our husbands, who had been before, did well. After a good hour I finally became adept There was cornhole, jenga and shuffleboard. It was nice to break up the throwing. The couches were comfy too. They sell some snacks and drinks but the place is byo. They offer ice if needed. We saw some groups get pizza delivered. Would definitely return!

We picked a location that was the midpoint between my home in Connecticut and my parents' home in New York City. We couldn't have chosen a better place than Banana Cabana! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a staff member (I wish I had caught her name) who greeted us with a big smile. She gave an excellent demonstration on how to properly throw an axe, let us practice a few rounds, and provided helpful tips on positioning our arms and legs for the best results. The venue had a great drink menu with plenty of options, including non-alcoholic beer. We also loved the variety of games available Battleship was a favorite! Another fun touch was the TouchTunes music system, where we could purchase credits and play our favorite songs. We definitely took advantage of that! Overall, we had an amazing time and will 100% be returning if we're ever in the area again.

Well we originally came here because online it says New Roc had bowling, and mini golf but…read moreeverything was closed down the only thing open was Axe throwing, the Movie theater, and places to eat. We drove a long distance to we went in to learn to throw some Axes. They seemed a bit short staff but in good spirits I saw a tiki bar and they had scannable QR codes on the tables but they bar and food options where closed as well so missed opportunity there. Axe throwing definitely will make you thirsty we did the 1 Hr option and would've signed up for more if there was a food and beverage option there. Only thing I didn't like is you pay for an hour but the staff started the timer before hand so we didn't get an actual hour they started the timer and then explained the rules to us and showed us how to throw it would make sense to do the tutorial and then start the timer once we are ready or once they are done explaining. All in all it was a fun experience with our group of friends definitely fun to do.
