First time I have ever done this, and I had a great experience. My aiming was all over the place, in the first round, after fixing my mistake of pulling the string near my mouth and keeping my arm straight, each round I was getting better and better near the 10. To be fair, still prefer the booze, but health first. We got a package where we had two hours of bowling and a bit of karaoke. We got caesar salad, pigs in a blanket, nachos, and chicken tenders. All was good except the nachos. Skip it. After a game of bowling, some of us stayed and did some karaoke. Personally think this is a good place to bowl, sing, and do other things like pingpong and pool, but the location is not ideal. Port authority gets really sketchy after dark. There are other props that come into play depending on the game. Theres a live hostess and Daniella was awesome. She made the games fun. There's a video screen that picks the games and then the hostess walks you thru the games. This whole facility is brand new and beautiful! The gym floor alone compared to the old Boys and Girls Club (which was pretty much around the corner) is beautiful. We would slip and slide all over the place running around the old gym. It was dangerous. Everything is very clean and organized. Haven't ventured around yet since I cut it close making it on time for games. But definitely a great, new facility!

The only issues; parking - none to be had! And, it's really hard to find this place with construction going on, the address doesn't come up properly on GPS, & several of the streets are dead ends. Come early so you can figure out where the building entrance is & try to find parking. Or even better, take the Light Rail to the Marin Boulevard stop & just hop on over to the building.

Competitive swimming pool open daily free of charge to all. When was the last time you had a nice swim for as long as you wanted for free? Like try never! Pool is clean, yes slightly dated but so well maintained. Went there today from 11am to 12, guess how many people there were on all 6 lanes? 4people! By the time i was done: there were 2 left. Yes, location sucks and really this is for people from Newark, Harrison and perhaps Karney to enjoy. Showers are dated and not all work; bring your own hair dryer. But all that doesn't bother me since i can just go home and be there in 5min. Also excellent for kids since they do have baby and toddler depths available. They plan to close it for 15 days renovation but will reopen in Nov. Also i am looking forward to their ice rink hours. Will be available later in fall. Again kids classes avaible for free (from what i hear). All in all i am impressed and will come back!
