The only thing I'd say is it's in the indoor mall of New Roc, which is sadly otherwise abandoned, and a new location may be in order.

I have been on the Milford Pedal Cruise before and both are just a super fun way to get together with a group of 22 of your friends and have a great time on the water. Here are some things you'll need to know: The Pier Pressure II is Stamford's only pedal powered party boat operated on Stamford Harbor and goes out into the Long Island Sound. It's a 90 minute excursion that is perfect for corporate outings and team building, as well as office, bachelorette, family, friends and birthday celebrations. It fits 26 guests at 12 pedaling stations & benches, a bar table, coolers, has a bluetooth stereo and also a bathroom. Private Cruises begin at $749 and Public Cruises are sold by the ticket, starting at $55, and seat up to 22 passengers. Guests do tip the Captain & First Mate since they rely on it to pay their bills. Suggested tip for Private Cruises: $200-300 and $10-15 per person for Group Cruises. BYOB! Drinks - beer, wine, hard seltzers, ciders, canned cocktails and the like are suggested. Please avoid bringing glass on board. Only guests 21 years of age or older may bring or consume alcoholic beverages. Don't forget some water. Bring Ice - they do not provide ice :) Bing Snacks - keep in mind it can be breezy on the boat. Cups, utensils, plates, napkins, etc - we do not carry these onboard, so please bring what you need and consider bringing reusable items to help the environment and reduce trash. Depending on the time of year and weather, don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, rain poncho or jacket. It does get cooler on the water- so bring a hoodie :) Lastly- free parking can be found at the Harbor Point Garage at 855 Pacific Street, Stamford, CT 06902 located between Washington Blvd & Harbor Point Rd. Other parking options include street parking and the lot at 200 Washington Blvd. They highly encourage using Uber, Lyft & taxi services, as well as the Metro North Train, a 15 min walk to the meeting location. Their waiting area is located at 1 Harbor Point Rd, Stamford, CT 06902 down the steps and under the blue canopy. You'll see Pedal Cruise signs along the way. Staff will let you and your group down to the boat through a locked gate when the boat is ready for boarding. Please do not enter through the gate without a Pedal Cruise staff member since it is private property. Cheers and have the best time! We sure did!

We booked a premium, full-service package for a team-building afternoon, but instead of relaxing, my team spent the entire time stressing, moving boxes, and cleaning up after the staff we hired. We aren't trying to be difficult clients; we simply wanted the service we paid for. Instead, we faced a massive burden: The setup was chaotic and late: For a group our size, the policy is a 40-80 minute setup window. The facilitator didn't show up until 1:33 PM for a 2:00 PM start. Her assistant didn't arrive until after the event started. We were left watching the clock, wondering if our event was even going to happen. We had to manage their logistics: The assistant arrived late and without ID. Since we are in a secure office building, she couldn't get in. Instead of the vendor handling this, my team had to stop what they were doing, leave the event space, and go down to the lobby to retrieve her and haul up the supplies she was carrying. Dismissive attitude: Mistakes happen, but the facilitator's attitude made it worse. She was dismissive about being late and shockingly unhelpful regarding her own assistant's supplies. At one point, when asked about the materials her assistant brought, she refused to help, telling us she "couldn't hang onto that." It felt like we were imposing on her, rather than the other way around. My team did the physical labor: Because they were so behind, the setup wasn't done until 2:30 PM--30 minutes into our paid time. To save the event, my colleagues and I had to step in and physically unpack boxes, set up stations, and distribute materials. We paid for a full-service event but ended up doing the heavy lifting ourselves. Contract issues: We paid extra for the "all new supplies" option so our team could keep their materials. Despite this, the facilitator packed up and took many of the paints and brushes back with her. They walked out on the mess: Despite the event starting late due to their tardiness, the facilitator refused to stay a minute past 4:00 PM. She started aggressively cleaning up while people were still painting, then bolted out the door right at 4:00, leaving us to finish the cleanup and break down the boxes. I cannot recommend this vendor. We paid for a fun, stress-free afternoon and instead received a chaotic experience where we had to work as the setup and cleanup crew.

We did the Elude the Illusionist room with no expectations and left thoroughly impressed. We booked an 8pm game on a Saturday, so the positive for parking is that it is ample and free. We freaked out a bit because the streets before the intersection were pretty crowded, but when we walked near the room, we realized that we had more options than we thought. Elude the Illusionist is created by Duane, one of the co-owners, who has done so many escape rooms. The room is appropriately challenging and the puzzles were enjoyed by even the most experienced escape room enthusiast in our group. I liked that the puzzles utilized a variety of skills and "lock" types (magnets and locks). The puzzles also matched with the magic theme, which is also more enjoyable. I have two minor critiques of the room. They have two puzzles that are based on lengths of things that are not the most obvious differences. Fortunately, there are other ways to solve those puzzles, but I think it could be a little more clear. Second, a previous reviewer mentioned that the room was not linear, but I think after the first major task, it does get linear. This is not the biggest issue because they allow private games, but that means a smaller group will work better! Honestly, the best thing about this room are the owners, Duane and Brittney. If you are an enthusiast, you NEED to do this room and speak with them! They are incredibly experienced and offered us a lot of other suggestions of rooms to do. We plan to come back and do their new room Robbin Tiffany's, but we hope that they are able to create another room similar to Elude the Illusionist in the future as well.
