We arrived 15 minutes late after accidentally going to the wrong location, but the staff graciously allowed us our full time. We really appreciated their understanding! Anthony was our host for the evening, and he made our first escape room experience a great one. Although the room was rated on the more difficult side, he guided us through the process with helpful hints and encouragement. Thank you, Anthony, for such a fun and memorable evening! 10 out of 10--highly recommend!

The bathrooms are mobility accessible and clean (and they even have mini puzzles inside). They've got lots of swag for sale and the staff is super friendly and helpful (but not too helpful if you don't want clues). Ask for Jordan, and also welcome him to NYC! I've done Gold Rush and the Playground. Loved both; Gold Rush is slightly harder and is better for smaller parties (4-6), while the Playground is easier and meant for larger parties (8-12). Both are very creative and interactive, with multiple rooms, and both your body and mind will be busy. We're excited to play the Timeliner next! There's no limit to clues but the puzzles aren't super hard. Production quality is high end, and I'm really impressed with them. Highly recommend. Also ask their marketing team for discounts for larger parties or special events!

My group did two rooms over 2 days which were Escape From Rikers Island and The Haunted Hotel. The puzzles were definitely head scratchers but we got through them both thanks to teamwork and our awesome game masters. Speaking of them, both Charlie and Ryan did a wonderful job making our experience so much fun! I highly recommend this place while visiting NYC if you like escape rooms!

Overall it was fun and a really nice first time game for the kids. Though, we found it pretty challenging and felt a lot more difficult than the easy grade. Also, some of the puzzles and doors didn't quite work as well as they should have. Overall, it was a fun experience. We have done about 50 escape rooms at this point. I'd say this one ranked in the middle of the pack. We've done some that have been much better but also many that were much worse. The clues took a particularly long time to deliver. We've escaped every room except this one was our first failure! We weren't even close. Our kids were sad, but can't always win! I guess a good lesson learned. But definitely much more challenging than we expected! We enjoyed it enough and the location is great right near 30 Rock. There were some gigantic cockroaches in our room, too. Though, I'd say that was a highlight for our son! Daughter, not so much!

The guys working here are very friendly and entertaining, and seem to care a lot about guests having fun and asked us for feedback near the end as well. Parts of the rooms do seem a bit dated, and there were certain puzzles that did not make much sense to us even after we solved them. That being said, I think overall they were well thought out and enjoyable to work through. I'm still not sure which room I enjoyed more. I think the laboratory had more interesting puzzles to me, and the penitentiary had a lot of moving parts/puzzles that made it a bit confusing in terms of chronology, but that's a part of the fun of a lot of escape rooms. I would come again if I'm in the area, and look forward to future improvements under the new ownership.

The escape rooms here at OMEscape are very fun, challenging, and a unique activity for a night out. You get 70 minutes to try to escape, and are able to ask for hints if you get stuck. This is one of the more intricate escape rooms that I have done, with unique puzzles that you probably have never seen before. Matt is very funny and plays a good character, and definitely makes the escape room experience way more enjoyable. The price is very worth it as you get 70 mins to escape, while most other rooms I've seen only give 60. There are multiple different rooms to try, so I know if I come back I will get an entirely new experience. Looking forward to coming back here when in NYC!

The clues were not too linear and it felt like our group could spread out and tackle multiple challenges. My main complaint was that there was a bit too much of a reliance on combination locks and it wasn't always clear why some panel would open up. "Did somebody do something?!" The clues were also sometimes too obvious or too vague. Difficulty: 3/5 (we needed one hint) Decor: 5/5 Tech: 3/5 Story: 4/5 Overall I would say this escape room was in the second quartile of all rooms. In NYC it was among the better ones. I also think this would be a great escape room for kids over 10 years old.

Sadly, this one was in my own backyard, and probably one of the most disappointing experiences we ever had together. Let me get something important out of the way. The person assisting us was very kind and helpful, so service was not the issue. The major problems lie in the quality of the room/puzzles, and most importantly, the fun factor. Fyi, we did the room for Guardians of Gotham. When they said that there would be no padlocks, I was somewhat happy. However, that meant way too many number codes and that sucked even more. It felt monotonous and tedious. The puzzles were okay but nothing super interesting. Overall, it just felt like we were solving puzzles, but the theme did not come into play one bit. My goddaughters were very excited about the superheroes theme, yet they said it was boring. I hate to say that I agree, but I do.

When we walked into the room itself I was already panicking as I did not see much to start the escape process in itself. Hardly any book shelf's, tables or doors to find objects. Everything had a lock on it so we knew we definitely had a mission. Also it was a bit confusing as some things in the room had nothing to do with the escape room. They do mark the items with a red x but it was very unfortunate. We seemed to have been in the corner room which had a real exit door and real elevator which is not the best for safety reasons. With all the fun and excitement someone eventually will try to open them. The puzzle was definitely a lot harder than we anticipated but it felt great when we worked together and figured it out! We did have to ask for clues along the way and they did a great job of not entirely giving it away and letting us decipher it amongst ourselves. This room is 1 hour but the last few mins is always the best. I definitely suggest a large group for these escape rooms they are so much fun. We escaped the exodus !!!!
