Website description of High Speed NYC
Mike M.

Played high speed NYC, which can be up to 8 people, but played with minimum of 2. There are 3 separate rooms, which was awesome! The game and clues were awesome. The game is very nicely designed with the story. We had Mike as our clue master and he was awesome!! Glad I escaped with over 6 minutes to spare! Would definitely recommend this location.

So much fun! I absolutely LOVE escape rooms. I make it a mission to complete an escape room every city I visit. I have done quite a few all over the country and I really did enjoy this one. They have a list of pretty unique escape rooms, which I like. We completed the baking competition cupcake escape room. (First of its kind that I have seen) The puzzles are unique and fun to complete. Even my dad was happy to participate, and he was iffy about joining the game at first. We got some cupcakes at the end and got to add frosting to them. Definitely recommend!

I'm still pretty new to escape rooms but this place was awesome. I was a guest so I wasn't involved in the booking process but you do have to make reservations and pick a time slot as well. Easy to find and they are located in the middle of the block and on the first floor. You buzz and someone lets you down another short hallway and a glass door and the counter to check in is to your right. There's a decent sized waiting room as well and a backdrop and props for pictures. They are 4 rooms and each room has it's own locker to store whatever you don't want to bring with you. Very nice during the winter for your winter coats. Staff was very friendly from the counter folks, room helper and everyone else we dealt with. Once you're ready, they bring you in the room and explain the rules. You have an hour and there's a screen and they give you a radio for clues. The clues aren't easy but not too hard either. Awesome way to spend an hour or so. I definitely want to come back and try the other rooms.

We escaped with 3 minutes to spare.

My husband and I are in our 60s and wanted to do something fun with our son (in his late 20s) who was visiting from LA. We had an absolute blast. We escaped with about 3 minutes to spare .It is the perfect mix of adrenaline rush and use of intellect. The Witch's Curse was beautifully designed and felt like an expensive movie set. Our game master Frida was terrific in helping us with clues and guidance. We were shocked to learn that she was practically brand new.

They were ready for us and we got there early. The design of the room was lots of fun. Challenging but not frustrating.

Skyscape is a really engaging and a well designed experience. Theres a lot to see and do, with interactive spy style missions that kept both me and my son entertained the entire time! My son was completely locked in the whole time and I was right there pretending I definitely understood the instructions on the first try. It's mostly a hands on experience, you're not just walking through exhibits, you're actually participating, solving challenges and learning as you go. Even better, it didn't feel crowded, which made it comfortable to move through at our own pace. We were able to go back and redo some of the exhibits we enjoyed, which made the experience even more fun the second (and third) time around. Overall, a great mix of entertainment and learning, especially for kids but enjoyable for adults too. 10/10. My son loved every second. I loved pretending I knew what was going on.

On weeknights, it's cheaper than the weekends, which made this experience more worth it at $27pp. Plus, you also save a couple dollars by purchasing your tickets beforehand online. We participated in the Spygames portion, which was worth doing. Once we got a wristband and setup an account, we got to start the games. They also offer free lockers (you'll want to remove any purses, bags, jackets, etc) as you'll be moving a lot. There's 10 rooms of a variety of games although some are similar or duplicates. You'll be very active jumping, climbing, and running around. The hour went by pretty quick but we were both sweating and exhausted by the end of it, so an hour is really all you need.

This isn't an intense cooking class, just in case you're wondering but it really can't be because it's designed as a fun group activity. Therefore, everything is prepped really well and with basic kitchen skills you and your team can prepare the food. I did learn a good onion dicing technique that I used the next day. In any event, our supervising chef was Ryan and he was great. Really energetic and helpful. There was plenty of work to do for all of us and the time went by quickly. When it came time to eat, we were all very hungry. I thought all the food was delicious. I was surprised at how generous the portions were, especially the dessert. Of course that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing. This was a really nice group activity and the staff there do a great job of getting things done so the program moves along without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend this for a corporate event.
