The food items- chicken sandwiches, sliced sirloin, a rice dish, tomato salad and passed lamb chops were exceptional. Service was accommodating and the signator cocktails were excellent. The DJ was engaging and the room temperature was just right. I had not been to the space in years so it was fun to return to reacquaint myself with the venue. Parking and registration was seemless. Thanks to Kanopi and to the sponsors including Lero's for providing a great night on a Monday!

Kanopi Will Cancel on You and Ruin Your Special Night…read more Made a non-cancellable, non-refundable reservation for Kanopi as a special treat for my wife's birthday over a month before her birthday, and paid the deposit. I also messaged Danny, the manager, that it was my wife's birthday, and that I wanted a cake with candle. Two days before the date I received yet another email confirming and advising that it was non-cancellable. Two hours after the last confirmation I received a call from Danny saying that they had to cancel the reservation. He explained that there was also an event scheduled that night and the event needed more space. He said that they had to cancel all reservations. I told Danny that was unacceptable in that I had a non-cancellable reservation and that the proper and ethical approach would have been to tell the people who had asked for more space, no in that the other areas had been booked with non-cancellable reservations. He offered to move the reservation to Friday and provide free wine. I said no, in that isn't my wife's birthday. I asked who made this decision, and he said the chef. I asked him to have the chef call me. Hadn't heard anything in 90 minutes, so I just sent a text saying better to cancel so I could make another reservation. They did refund my money. However, I feel this is unethical behavior on the part of the restaurant, and breach of the contract made. Truly disappointing behavior.

I would stay over…read morewhile I was attending college; to do schoolwork for better concentration and relaxation, so I had first-hand experience with Sonesta before the remodeling. Let me tell you something, This Hotel has gone from a three-star hotel to a 4-star hotel, but I give them a five and nothing less. I am a proud travel pass member since 2015. They have done a fantastic job of remodeling. The rooms are FABULOUS, absolutely fabulous and comfortable. It is a luxury room with satisfying upgraded furniture. The bed, couch, chairs, picture, television, and bathroom exemplifying sophistication. Offering bedside reading and access to downloadable books to read. Charging outlets and the lighting sets a romantic tone. All you need to do is have them give you the romantic package and add wine to the list, they aim to please! They offer event space, a swimming pool, fitness center, self-parking as well as Valet parking, a market center with Starbucks, airport shuttle, laundry service, housekeeping, and in room dining. The remodeling has enhanced the bar experience and the dining experience. The restaurant, which is named Whisk, serves this spacious and huge Dine-In area, serving breakfast and dinner only. It is a totally different set-up from the past, and the food seems like it has improved but the service from the dining staff remains the same, friendly, personalized, professional, and pleasant. I had the buffet for about $27 plus. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I should not have gotten the buffet because of my diet, but I did well by eating one plate. Next time I will try A La Carte. I have visited the bar in the past and you can dine at the bar, the people at the bar at the best around. The go out of the way to talk to you and as many times as I have been there, they know me. The valet parking is serviced Metropolis; I paid $34 for about 18 hours and the staff are enthusiastic about parking your car. Pro tip- Have the buffet ordered as part of your stay. An area that needs attention- Housekeeping can use the mop a little more. The floor was a little dusty. All out I am so impressed and satisfied, if Sonesta is in the area that I am visiting, I am staying there... more reasons to .... Yelp more, Inspire more!

Why one…read morewould one have a birthday party here- well- it is an entirely big family on both sides, and that space is needed, provided that all of them come. Anyways, This venue is very beautiful, and has a decorated lobby with the party room in front of you, a bar on the side of you, and stairs that lead to the bathroom. One can even hang their coat on the coat rack by yourself! the party room i thought was beautiful, and there was even a stage to use if one wanted. at the party, there was enough room for a bounce house for kids, and a blowup slide, plus a photo booth, and of course all the tables. We did not feel squished at all at the tables, and found the seats very comfortable. The food served was the following: appetizers that consisted of chips, pretzels, and cheese with crackers. We also had sandwiches. Oh and this don't matter as much because i liked the food that i choose, but there was no labels labeling the food at all-- like they had sandwiches, one was a turkey sandwich, and the other with ham- we didn't know what we were taking if we wanted one or the other. (or i don't but what if someone had food allergies) For entrees, there was lots of choices from chicken fingers with fries, to chicken marsala, to brocoli rabe with sausage, a penne ala vodka with sausage, plain pasta, and more! Going back to the not labels- whenever we went up to food, it felt like a guessing game of what we were eating-- in the case of the sausage with brocoli rabe,First off looked like Sausage with spinach to me, and it is not a meal that i normally take but tried it and it was good and enjoyable. The other food was enjoyable as well- such as the penne vodka, and chicken marsala. Even the dessert was good, as i enjoyed the chocolate cupcake. overall had a good time, and great time here. Oh, and eventually used the restroom a few times, and it was very clean.

We had a tough time finding where to start with this review because every element of our wedding at…read moreCV Rich Mansion surpassed our expectations. A major reason why we chose this venue was due to it's location. Our family and friends were coming from NY, NJ, PA, MA, NH, ME, and some southern/western states, so we were looking for somewhere easily accessible from all directions (with no crazy traffic like in BX/LI/NYC), near an airport, hotel, and with a lot of things to do nearby. White Plains was perfect and very charming. Our hotel, venue, restaurants, cafes, stores, mall and after party bar were all within 5-10 minutes of each other and super easy to get to. Christine was our point person from day one. Communication with her was timely and transparent throughout the entire process and her professional demeanor made our experience stress-free. As an out-of-state couple, she was super helpful providing insight, sending pictures, answering questions as they popped up, and scheduling a few visits for us before and after the wedding. She gave her honest opinion which helped us a lot when we were on the fence with a few things. Upon arrival for the rehearsal, we met with Christine and Michelle, who were a great help to us and our families - from the many questions to the many boxes of decorations we brought in ourselves, they had positive attitudes and were able to create a beautiful day for us with the help of their team at CV Rich. We really loved working with everyone there! Since we were not as familiar with the area, Christine suggested having our rehearsal dinner nearby at their sister property, Sam's of Gedney Way. This is where we had our initial tasting for the wedding menu (which was a blast) and where we ended up returning for the rehearsal dinner that was just as fun as our wedding. We had a private room on the enclosed patio, which was perfect for our group. The food was unbelievable - our guests were raving about it all weekend - and the service was amazing. We were able to meet May, head bartender for our wedding, who worked both of these events - she was phenomenal. Photos of the mansion were great - we booked this venue without even visiting - but once we were able to see it in person, it was so much better than we thought. We loved how there were so many rooms for our guests to access and the vast amount of windows that let in natural light throughout the mansion. The rooms were already so nicely decorated, we didn't need to do much to them. There was plenty of room for the items that we did display (6' seating chart mirror, photo frames, guest book, card boxes and small bud vases). The sun rooms were my favorite, and were so perfect for our portrait photos when we were unable to have them outside due to the rain. Having two separate bridal suites upstairs the whole day/night was ideal; this private area was great for getting ready (hair & makeup were done at the hotel) and storing our personal items during the event. Unfortunately, our photographers didn't capture as many photos of the venue itself, which we are very sad about, since everything looked so beautiful (I tried to include a few photos here that do show it off a bit). With rain in the forecast, we knew there was a chance we'd have to move the ceremony inside. Christine was texting with me all morning as we discussed the best possible options. We ended up having the ceremony inside, which was disappointing since we were dreaming of our ceremony in the garden for so many months, but the team made the ballroom look absolutely beautiful and comfortably fit our 155 guests. Christine and Michelle had an assortment of the cocktail hour food sent up to the bridal suite for us to enjoy alone right after our ceremony ended - that time with just the two of us (and food) was so essential, I recommend that to all future couples. The food was outstanding and our guests were blown away by our cocktail hour which included 8 passed hors d'oeuvres, three theme food stations, a full bar, and a coffee/tea/water station. The food during the reception was also phenomenal. For the first time ever, my 6'6 football player groom had no room for a second plate that was offered to him - he thoroughly enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner. Shoutout to May again who made sure we always had our water and favorite drinks replenished at our sweetheart table!Dessert was wonderful for those who weren't too busy dancing or smoking cigars. We had a coffee/cappuccino/espresso cordial bar set up off the ballroom near the exit, but unfortunately not many people knew it was there since there was so much going on in that room. There was a photo booth area, table with a live cigar roller, full bar, and cordial bar all set up in that room (also where the bathrooms were located off of). I was a little uncertain if the dance floor would be big enough for everyone (we were supposed to have 175-200 guests, ended up with 155 with last-minute declines the week of), but with t

Hands down, this was one of the best group experiences we have had. First off, the place was very clean, the music was amazing, and the lighting really enhanced the vibes. From start to finish, the staff was outstanding. Super friendly, very patient, and extremely accommodating. They made everything hassle-free and easy, and because of them we all had an amazing time. Our hostess Bree was so sweet and truly made the night special while keeping everything running smoothly. Our servers JJ and Jessica kept us full and made sure nothing stayed empty for more than a couple of minutes. Joseph, our bartender, was funny, super laid back, and quick with the drink orders, which is exactly what you want at an event like this. The manager Shania oversaw everything and was simply amazing. Honestly, the entire staff deserves raises. They were on it and were the glue that kept everything together and running. Big shoutout as well to Jeannine in guest services who helped me book the reservation and gave excellent food recommendations. We did an event package and the pricing was very reasonable for what you get. We had 2.5 hours of bowling, food, premium bar access, and shoe rental included. We had a whole lane to ourselves, #57. We pre-ordered chicken tenders, cheeseburger sliders, Caesar salad, chips and salsa, mozzarella bites, and french fries. To finish the night, we had the freshly baked and fried donuts. All of us agreed the food was good. My personal favorites were the chicken tenders, the fried confetti donuts, and the mozzarella bites. Most of the group came from far away, and by the end of the night we were already planning our next event. Everyone loved it and said they would absolutely come back. I highly recommend booking an event package here or even just reserving a lane. There is also an arcade downstairs that we did not get to try this time, but I am definitely looking forward to coming back and trying it and ordering more items from the food menu.
