Awesome venue, very elegant place to have a catered event

Super nice and sexy venue. Elegant in everyday from the decor to the ambience to the fountains. This is place has it all and they even have an elevator to make a grand entrance if you like. Overall awesome place and the food was just as good.

Where do I even begin! Max!!!!! We love you and your staff so much!!! The food was truly incredible starting with the cocktail hour, appetizers, main course, and Venetian hour! We felt like family and were treated like family. Everything went so smooth and our decor was exactly how I envisioned it. Thank you guys for making our wedding a fairytale! There is no place like your home! Love you guys!!

you can make your grand entrance through the floor! the bordered off floor lifts up to a small room

Villa Barone Manor has restored my faith in catering halls - my friend's wedding last night was seamless from start to finish. Located right off the Throggs Neck Expressway (like literally), Villa Barone is pretty much an institution in the Bronx. The venue is large, the decor is classy, and their offerings are fully modernized while still maintaining that old-school New York wedding style. Like any catering hall, there are a number of levels of service and menus for you to choose from. As we entered we were greeted by the staff and offered champagne, then led to the cocktail hour which was located in one of their smaller party rooms. While there were no strolling servers offering hors d'oeuvres, there were numerous stations lining the perimeter of the room with all different types of food and beautiful carved ice sculptures. Cocktail hours are my favorite part of weddings and they definitely delivered the goods. Dinner was served in their larger party room. The dance floor has a unique feature where a square in the center of it lifts up to reveal a hidden holding "chamber" (for lack of a better word - it's very nice and roomy). I can imagine this is extremely popular for newly married couples and others to make their grand entrance into the room. The decor was lovely, and the food was very tasty - better than your typical catering hall's fare. Another standout is their Viennese hour where they have a number of tasty cakes and pastries to choose from. While everyone's event is going to be different, my experience as a guest was great fun - good food, friendly staff, and beautiful atmosphere.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value We just celebrated our daughter's and new son in law's wedding at Villa Barone. It was the wedding of their dreams and the best wedding we ever attended. From booking the venue with Peter, to the actual wedding he was professional, attentive to detail and provided support throughout the process. Pete and Anthony went over and beyond our requests and were always there with a smile. The huge glass elevator out of the dance floor was a huge hit and the food was awesome. The servers were efficient and courteous to help make it a memorable occasion. Villa Barone is clean, has large banquet rooms, great valet parking, awesome staff and is the location to have your wedding celebration. A special Thank You to Peter who was there from beginning to end to ensure that the bride and groom had the most unforgettable experience.

*This review is long over due, but I had my wedding here on Septemeber 16th, 2016. The staff was too perfect to work with. Everyone was friendly, especially Max! he went beyond expectations to make my husband and I happy with every single detail in planning our wedding and acommodating our guests. Max treated us like family and we felt very welcomed every single time we came to make a payment or arrange details for our wedding. Thank you Antony, Peter, Tony and all the staff at Villa Barone Manor for my fairytale wedding!! Dream come through! Lots of Love; Steven & Tricia Tapia

I had my wedding in August on A Sunday Afternoon at Villa Barone Manor and the staff, venue, and food were EXCEPTIONAL! I didn't have a wedding planning and I was planning NYC wedding from Pittsburgh. . . however, we Anthony and his staff I felt like I didn't need one. From the moment I came to visit, Anthony treated me and my family so well. He took his time to go over every option, answer my questions, and was very flexible with me (even when my Dad showed up an hour late to view the venue). My husband and I got married in the garden. However, there was a back up option in case of unfavorable weather. There are 2 ballrooms, both which had the option of a grand entrance where you come through the floor (my guests loved the surprise entrance). We wound up picking the Celini Ballroom. (I may be misspelling the name). There's a beautiful atrium where I had my cocktail hour. The guest loved the cocktail hour food and Anthony even customized the cocktail hour menu and added curry goat for me. I highly recommend this place for your wedding!

Came here for a Thursday night evening event and was blown away by the customer service at this establishment. Thus, my 4-star rating. Building- elegant, classy- complete with chandelier fixtures. The interior is neat and pleasant. Bathroom was clean and big enough for the occupancy load that I didn't feel I was on top of others (which is usually the case in women's bathrooms). Staff- very friendly and were so helpful with our event. Each interaction with a staff member had me impressed with their attention to detail. (E.g., giving us a pitcher of water because we were attending the front desk while the event's guests were being seated for dinner) Food- could be improved upon. Good starting fruit dish. The house salad was lukewarm and soggy, when salad should be cold. I ordered the salmon dinner and the fish was overcooked and dry. The accompanying sauce was probably the dish's saving grace. Dessert of ice cream cake was delicious and a nice end to the sit down dinner. Overall, great establishment for the quality of service received. Other similar banquet halls have been understaffed and could care less that you need an extra small table for your event, for example. I would definitely recommend this special events space, however, the food could use a revisit for some improvement.

For a wedding reception this is definitely one of the larger ones I've been to. Was here few Sundays ago for a wedding reception and had a pretty pleasant experience overall. When we arrived the cocktail hour was already underway. I wish they would partition the hall and appitizer area better as its basically a long hall way and it does make getting around bit difficult especially if you want to visit the tables in the back. The food here was absolutely amazing though, each of the food stations was attended by friendly servers. Like most weddings reception I've been to the best food are the cocktail hours so definitely go for it as the entrees are only meh. The banquet hall itself was quite large indeed and I think they have two actually to host two separate events simultaneously. Like people have mentioned they have a raising stage in the middle of the room to show off the newly wedded couple which was quite an extravagant shock for me at first. If you read it here act surprised when you do see it haha. The room easily fits 10+ tables each side and the dance area is quite large. The servers again are very accommodating and helpful. The bartender was very lively and throughout the night worked very hard to keep everyone happy with their drinks. The food here though like I mentioned before was only medicore, but its to be expected since I think most people would be either dancing or walking around chatting. I did like the steak much more than the salmon entree. Bathrooms have attendants as other have mentioned and they do keep it quite clean in pristine condition. I also like the name cards on the table when you first walk in where they have little bells as holders. Not sure if that was part of the banquet's package or something the wedding party outsourced elsewhere. They also have valet parking right at the entrance, I parked on the streets nearby as I didn't know it was complimentary as well but I'm sure they work on tips. Once weather gets colder though I think its definitely worth it. I didn't have trouble finding parking around the neighborhood though since its a residential spot. The location is quite convenient, literally right off the highway and very close to Throgs Neck Bridge so makes the travel a bit easier for those of us out of town.

I guess it's never too late to write a review - my husband and I got married at Villa Barone back on 10/10/15 and it is a day I will never forget. Peter was our coordinator and he (and the staff) made sure that everything was exactly what we wanted...they really went above and beyond the make sure that, not only your guests, but you as a couple are completely taken care of. They basically wait on you hand and foot - I would absolutely do another big event here and who knows maybe it'll be my vow renewal !

A review post rescheduled event:…read more Overall, our guests were comfortable, the sound system was good, the room was clean and airy with high ceilings and needed minimal decorations. There was room for our food and sweets tables as well as for a small dance floor which was appropriate for our intimate event with close family and friends. As an event space, the sky tower room delivered all of the things we were looking for. ---------------------- The space was clean, easy to access from the Highway, there was street side parking for our guests as long as they arrived early. The general manager Shanita(?) was there cleaning from a prior event and greeted us at the door at 2pm. It was good that we started the event later (4pm) than our reservation started (2pm) because our DJ had to work with event staff and call the owner because our DJ was having trouble connecting to the system. We followed up with staff onsite to make sure we revived the ice, serving trays, and table linens that were included in our package. We decided not to follow up about using the projector/tv screens after being brushed off when we asked for the other included amenities, but there were two large flatscreen TVs behind the sound booth. There was another event happening at the same time in the smaller room next door and we could only hear them (and assume that they could also hear us) if the front doors were open. At one point a guest from the other party clogged one of the toilets so it was shut down. The site manager was there to direct people to the right room and to shut down the room that was out of service. We started cleanup at 8 pm and we did our best to clear the space of debris that was generated by our event. The contract was very specific about prohibited activities (IE: no tape. No confetti etc) so we wanted to be sure to keep up our end of the deal especially because some of our decorative balloons popped and made a mess. The manager came in at 9pm and let us know that she would handle the rest if we got our items out of the space. We (clearly) did not have the best time negotiating the terms of the rescheduled event especially when we wanted to switch event spaces. Beautiful site. Lovely amenities.
