The wife and I had our 30th wedding anniversary this past Saturday at Villa Russo. We had our wedding reception and her retirement party here as well. IF IT IS NOT BROKEN, DO NOT FIX IT. The wife and I walked into Villa Russo to meet with KIM in March of 2025. The wife and I had a vision for the theme of the party. Well let me tell you, Kim had samples AND PICTURES of those samples at ACTUAL events. These things made the decision making so much easier because you did not have to visualize anything. It was already there in pictures. To say that Kim led us by the hand and showed us the way is truly an understatement. We believe she went above and beyond what was necessary. We were a little nervous planning a big event like this. Having Kim alongside us every step of the way was such a relief. Whenever my wife had a question about the event, Kim had an answer. THIS WOMAN KNOWS HER BUSINESS!!! When we arrived for our event, we had Justin who was running the room and Riswan who was assisting him. At bartender, we had the sweetest young lady by the name of Minerva. Minerva knew everything as far as what attendees wanted to drink. She was very quick and sweet. Justin is a superstar. He communicated with me about everything and with the help of our DJay Roger, helped move the party along smoothly. Then you have Riswan. There was nothing he would not do for my family and friends. Upon arriving at Villa Russo, guests were welcomed by an antipasto platter. Super delicious and super gone quickly. Food is the perfect ice breaker. For our salad we chose the Caesar salad. The pasta course was rigatoni a la vodka. A BIG HIT with the guests. For entrees, our guests chose from Shell steak, salmon, chicken francese or eggplant rolatini. Everybody raved about the food and especially the service. If any of our guests needed anything, Justin and Riswan were super quick to respond. The truth is there is not enough space for words to really say how grateful we are to everyone at Villa Russo. From Kim literally taking us by the hand and making our vision a reality. to Justin, Riswan, Minerva and Roger, our Djay, Villa Russo AGAIN, DELIVERED a most memorable night for us all. Unfortunately, I have to leave this review because my experience was definitely not what I expected. I will start off with the pros: I rented the party room that fits 30-60 people. I wanted an intimate party with family and friends to celebrate my baby shower for my 1st born. The space was nice and clean and spacious. Very vibrant and vintage. The only compliment I have would be the waitress that helped host the event named Vanessa. She did an amazing job making sure me and my guest were catered and met their needs with their requests. She was attentive and friendly. Cons: For the price they charged me for a small space (2k) I expected more professionalism and courteous. Dolores Jacome ( Banquet Manager) was very rude and lacks communication skills. During the party, she was letting people from the public (strangers) come into my event while the event started and my guest were already seated and ready to eat. My sister approached her to ask her why she was seeing people at the office while there is an event happening, according to her she was unaware that the dance floor where the DJ was performing was also rented. Locked her office and gave my sister an attitude when confronted. I was disappointed and honestly felt disrespected. The food was okay. Definitely needed more flavor but edible. The wine (red & white) was dry and tasted awful. Also, we had to request for more soft drinks to be served since we had unlimited soft drinks but only provided water, sprite and the disgusting wine. Luckily, Vanessa corrected the issue and it was resolved. I do not recommend this venue due to the staff and false promises and professionalism they lack. The venue has to do better in communication and organization for the price they are charging for a small space for only 4hrs. I will not be booking anymore events at this location and if you are looking for a venue that will accommodate your needs , this is not the place for you. I contacted the hostess before I posted this review to see if there was a mitigating factor for such terrible food and if so I would not have posted the review, sadly no response, at all, nothing! That one star is for atmosphere and staff, those were fine. We went for valentine day celebration, describing it as "bad" is kind. The food was miserable, I expect for the event food was contracted since the fair couldn't have come from ANY self-respecting kitchen that relied on customer satisfaction If management hired an outside service to run this affair, don't let them contract your house again, it's bad for your reputation. If you yourself ordered the buffet from an outside supplier, don't use that service ever again. If you yourself prepared the buffet, you need different chef and kitchen staff,' here was our experience, again other than food we enjoyed the night, but the food was not to be taken seriously For dinner, a TINY buffet, I sampled their salmon, eggplant, noodles, and chicken. The best description I can give, quality was (far) worse the ten dollar buffet my dad likes to go when I go visit Nothing seemed prepared same day, everything was mealy, fish had a weeks supply of iodne with consistency of mashed Potatoe, salad was limp, hard finding anything other than lettuce, I did find one 1/4" size diced tomato, and I think there might have been two slivs of cucumber. I usually take tiny fork size portions at buffet so I can go back for a proper serving of what I liked most. Everything was SO hard eating I couldn't finish any of these small portions. When plates were removed by waiters, not one plate I saw leaving any table was finished and not one person I saw go back for another portion. On top of that, butter was on a plate in those tiny 1/2" plastic box with that gold colored tin on top, you have to peel off a tin top, scoop out 1/4" portion of butter, and then leave your own garbage on the table. The same thing was true for the coffee, it was literally the same thing you'd get a MacDonalds, tiny plastic thimbles you'd need 4 to get coffee to medium. I can never return to this Villa Russo's for fear even their affairs have the same (non) "quality. I hope their actual catering skills are of higher order, if booking an affair, please make certain they allow you a visit to an even similar to yours so you can judge their actual served food rather than their buffet fair If the owners or management gets to read this, advice, at expensive dinner packages like this, ($190), have dollops of butter and a proper creamer for coffee, and don't even think about a buffet like this. read more

To be totally transparent, I had a terrible experience with this establishment. I planned a baby shower, booked it in Feb 2020, for May 2020. After about a month tried to get my money back. I did a charge back with my bank, to no avail. I was planning on go into small claims court, because even though I signed a contract, it was designed to help the business owner recoup losses, but there were none. My family are fortunate that we didn't need the deposit money to pay rent or feed our family. We just attended a co-ed bridal shower over the weekend at this venue. The layout is pretty spacious with various rooms ranging from upstairs to a smaller area downstairs. There were several events held that day. My BFF's bridal shower was held in the party room, a medieval tower room. The venue decor is vintage Italian.The attendants were attentive and cater to every requests for food/drinks. Service was definitely top notch! For the bridal luncheon, a 3-course menu featured a choice of entree of either the eggplant tower, chicken francaise or salmon w/ lemon butter sauce. The first course was a cold antipasto & cheese platter with salami, fresh mozzarella, sharp cheddar, prosciutto, olives, peppers, and an individual pasta dish. Dessert was coffee and cake- strawberry w/ custard filling. Overall, the food was good in addition to the drinks-sangria/mimosa. The only negative factor is the location of the restroom. Although, there was a doorway gate that led to the restrooms downstairs, the filter did a poor job. The odor was definitely noticeable coming up the stairway. Not sure about the rest of the banquet hall but the party room had a slight musky smell. This is most likely due to where the restrooms are located. Def not a deal breaker. Went I when to Villa Russo to pay the deposit and book the party I was very well taken care of by Jennifer F. had a great experience by her as well. Very smooth and up front operation. Even those we where even last minute with all our table seating and final number. Not once were they nasty with us. They were very patient and understand with us. Day of event I met Eric our Maître d' which was very attentive and on schedule with our party. The staff was on point. They took care of our tables, they were very pleasant and polite. Food and cake was great. Valet parking was a blessing. We a full party about 280 ppl Inc adults, children and babies. After the party the owner George Russo came out to personally greet us and thanks us. That was awesome. They all made us feel like part of the family. Even the owner was there for a bit to greet guests. I had my sweet 16 here January 25th, 2014. We had a party of 230 guests. This hall was extremely suitable for a sweet 16. Although it was definitely pricey. The hall was flat out gorgeous. The staff was so on point and very professional. And the food is great! Everything was handled as if it were for a wedding. Jennifer and Kim helped me a TON. It has been a year since her party and my family is still raving about how helpful and how professionally handled it was. My only complaint is that, I am west indian and decided to have a split buffet. We did half Italian cuisine from Villa Russo and the other half our food. We were in charge of 6 dishes ourselves, 3 of which we planned on catering from a local indian restaurant. Villa Russo management told us they were actually able to cater the food on our behalf. I must honestly say that my food was definitely not catered from the restaurant I requested. Also my food was served in such small portions that ended up having SO many left overs which my guests would have loved. Long over due but here goes. Had my wedding here and let me tell you every single person we dealt with was an angel. We booked the party room since we had 65 guest max. The space was perfect and everyone was comfortable. The dance floor is right next to the seating area past the arch doorway. It was intimate and simply perfect. I was a very detailed bride and was able to bring things I wanted on each table 2 days before the wedding and everything was done for me and placed right back into the boxes at the end of the night! My guests still talk about the food to this day! I've been to more expensive weddings and the food doesn't compare. Not being biased but I could eat so I know what I'm talking about. All that fancy stuff is cute but does it taste good? The price is also fair. A lot of other catering halls were charging so much for the venue and when you look at it...GUESTS ARE STILL GOING TO COMPLAIN so why not go with a place that listens to you, is beautiful, has great food and won't leave you broke before you even leave to your honeymoon? Where do I begin?! I found this place thanks to yelp for my baby shower. My husband and I made an appointment and went in to speak to one of their reps. Suzanne was very pleasant, she went over everything in detail with us for the day. So we ended up reserving a date and putting a deposit for it. All I can say is that my baby shower was amazing!! The staff was super friendly and VERY helpful. I went in almost an hour early and they helped me set up the balloons and decorations the way I wanted. They pulled out an extra table for the extra deserts that my mother-in-law wanted to bake for the day. Everything was clean and beautifully set up. Now the food... I personally don't expect much from catering places when it comes to food. But let me tell you that starting from the appetizers and all the way to the cake everything was delicious. I walked around and all the guests were very happy! The pasta was well cooked and the sauce was amazing. I had salmon for the entree and it was very tender and well seasoned! My husband said the chicken was great too. And the portions weren't tiny either.. The cake was chocolate and raspberry and it was to die for:)) At the end the staff gave us whatever was left from the food to take home. Honestly I would highly recommend this place for any special occasion. My baby shower was just perfect thanks to Villa Russo's:)) Oh and the prices are very reasonable! She was patient, efficient, and professional she never once seemed flustered or overwhelmed she handled every obstacle with such grace and knowledge she is beyond her years! The person we meet with didn't seem to interested and TO BE HONEST we felt like we were an inconvenience. I hosted a holiday work party at Villa Russo recently. Kinda got lost at first trying to find the place, and wasn't sure if this would work out. In the end, the evening was awesome. Victoria, catering manager, was super cool and professional. She guided us through the whole process and was very helpful with her suggestions. She even suggested a DJ that really did a great job in keeping everyone dancing. Kim, who was there that night, and all the staff were super nice and very accommodating. There was valet parking (as parking is sparse around this neighborhood). You will love the venue, beautifully decorated!! You will love the food too. It was a buffet and was not sure if it was going to work. But they served the food through the buffet line and was very generous with the portions. The only downside is that while the place was wheelchair accessible, using the bathroom facilities was a bit inconvenient. Keep this in mind when reviewing your guest list.
