The venue itself is beautiful, but the management urgently needs improvement. Our event was booked from 8 PM to 12 AM, and while we fully understand that going past the allotted time may result in extra charges, there is a proper and respectful way to handle that. Instead of speaking to us privately or asking us to step into the office to discuss the overtime fee, the owner's son walked directly onto the stage in the middle of the event to announce an $800 charge for going a few minutes past midnight. This was unprofessional, unnecessary, and extremely disrespectful to both our guests and our team of healthcare professionals. Everyone understands how overtime fees work -- what we expect is basic courtesy. Interrupting a celebration to make such an announcement showed a complete lack of customer service and common sense. His behavior alone resulted in the staff losing their gratuity, which is simply unacceptable. Throughout the night, staff were rushed, unable to eat, and constantly reminded about closing times for the bar and dinner. Lights and microphones were switched off abruptly, and the overall treatment felt dismissive and almost childlike. Because of this experience, I would never return or recommend this venue to anyone. We had a baby shower here January 2025. Ill start by saying the venue looks really nice with their basic decorations. Of course I added a few extra, however, it was very nice. Pros; They offer all services in one place, i.e. DJ, food, welcome screen, decor( chair covers, table clothes, napkins, and runners. The staff appear friendly when booking. The bathrooms are clean You have your personal space to get dressed They offer a space for guest to put their coats You dont clean up much after your event Cons: First ill give the series of events then a list. Upon viewing the venue and booking, you are informed of what they offer. They provide you with the contact that states, you have coat check, they only use in house vendors, if an outside vendor is used they need liability insurance, you are provided with a music sheet to provide your favorite and not so much song list, a food list to choose your 3 meats, 1 pasta, and 1 side, also included is the salad bar, you are given 1.5 hours prior to your event to set up. I'll say that the set up time was enough, the venue has a schedule they work by any it helps keep you on track with your 4 hours. We ordered - jerk chicken, fried chicken and BBQ beef ribs, penne ala vodka, and rice with veg. Our Dj was Chris (he was good). Cons: They did not have any HOT WATER The heat was on 100° The catering staff, rude absolutely rude to guest Food- i asked the venue do they give you all the food at the end of the night and was informed yes. 1. The rice was so hard it was inedible. We complained to the manager who tried to convince us that this is how rice taste. Keep in mind you get 2 pans of each dish! So they sawpped out the rice pan. No one ate twice and we had so much food left over. Let me state that I and my husband, plus many of oir guest did not eat. We have pictures of the food prior to the venue announcing last call for a plate. When we left the staff had packed the food up for us to leave. When I arrived home, they sent us, a hald pan of ribs, the hard rice and a whole pan of this pasta. Which is not penne alla vodka- this has some type of meat in it, this is not tomato cream sauce, and that's it. There was no other meat. I tried reaching out to the manager to discuss the dissatifaction of the staff interacting with guest, no hot water, the pasta being wrong and the trays of food missing. Also, coat check is not what you think. Its ppl hanging their own jackets. A week or so later, still no return call. Here is what I say, if you use this venue understand that it will look good, they will meet the basic needs of your event. If you care about how much money you spend on food, and want it, have someone in charge of monitoring what is packed up, ensure there is hot running water and tell your guest not to engage the staff. I will say Michelle, who works the front desk is not rude, and has a way of giving information with a bow. I added a pic of the pasta so you can see what it looks like. Just held my daughter's Sweet 16 there on Friday and I can't say enough how amazing everything went. They honored my requests with ease and were very transparent. Michelle is a pleasure to coordinate with and responded quickly to all of my questions. I used their vendor list to hire a decorator, have my cake made, and arrange for sparklers and a party robot! - and they were all spectacular. The cash bar option was very convenient for my guests. We recently attended my little cousin's sweet sixteen party here. And I must say, I really like the facilities at Charisma. Yes, it's a bit odd that the ballroom banquet is on the lower level and that the first thing you see when you come inside is a set of stairs leading downstairs. Once you get past this, you'll see that the venue is spacious, clean, and laid out nicely. You can opt for them to have your name in lights reflected on the dance floor, there's a smoke machine, bubble machine and various light options that you can request for the event. There's also a couple of screens that can run videos or photos on a loop during the event. The bar area is separate from the main ballroom which was great considering this was a sweet sixteen party. The DJ was wonderful. He provided a good selection of songs that got the guests dancing the whole time. The food was pretty good. It was served buffet style and there were plenty for all the guests. I wished they kept the food out all night instead of quickly putting it away after an hour. We had a few guests that arrived very late and came after the food was already packed away. The wait staff was nice enough to make up a plate for them when we asked. The pricing structure for the event was a bit confusing. Make sure to do your research and ask questions. Otherwise, you might get sticker shock from all the extra add-on options (linens, nicer chairs, balloon decorations, champagne toast, etc.) that can quickly inflate the overall price. We all had a great time at the party. Where do I even begin!? My wife and I celebrated our wedding at Charisma Ballroom and it was a 10 out of 10! We were recommended to them by my Sister in Law who celebrated her daughter's Sweet 16 here. Everything was amazing from the booking process to our wedding day! The wait staff were really nice and friendly. They really made sure our guests and my wife and I were always taken care of. We opted for the open bar package and the bartender was also very friendly and kept the line flowing throughout the entire night. Management was also very responsive, professional, and accommodated my Wife's wants and needs for our special day! They literally delivered on all of our expectations! The best part about this venue was, it's a one stop shop making the planning process for us seamless. We're glad we used vendors from their preferred list who made our night memorable. The food was amazing and allowed us to provide our guests with a wide variation. Overall our experience with Charisma Ballroom was a 10 out of 10. They exceeded our expectations! We will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced venue to host their next big celebration! Oh Charisma. This review was going to take me a while to write. I found them while searching for a venue to throw not just a wedding reception, but our Halloween themed wedding reception. We got a great deal on a promo they had back in January/February 2020, before COVID. After putting down the $500 deposit, and having a date in mind we were locked in, and had a contract with Charisma. We had the basic decorations, lights, DJ table settings, and buffet included with a set per person price, with 100 guests as a minimum. We added and paid extra for add ons like an extra dish and most importantly an open bar which was an extra per person cost (x100 or more guests in our case). Because of the lockdown, we were forced to decide weather to host the reception October 2020 with 50 guests capacity or reschedule. Obviously the smarter choice was to reschedule. We then rebooked for October 2021 to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary as a reception redo. Finally our day arrived, the ballroom setup looked perfect. They let us come in an hour and half early to setup our own extra party decorations and everything looked great. In comes the screw up.. As I was hosting and busy with guests and making sure things ran smoothly apparently our guests were enjoying themselves at the "open bar". Apparently the staff at the bar was charging my guests $10 for beers when in fact we paid extra for the open bar. Even though I advertised our celebration as an open bar, my guests didn't want to be classless and mention it to me or my wife. Eventually the staff at the bar informed me of their error over an hour into the party and said they gave free top shelf drinks to my guests. Okay no big deal. Right? There wasn't a lot of communication during the party between the staff and myself (who was running things while my wife enjoyed herself) so things like the cake came out later then I would have liked. Overall everything worked out and everyone had a blast. We took home a lot of the leftover food and took down all the decorations before we left. There was also miscommunication here, as I was told everything had to be removed before we left, but my wife was told we can leave the stuff and pick it up. We were all buzzed and our friends were with us so everyone helped gather everything and we took ALL our decorations when we later found out apparently it could have been left? Days later I found out from a few of my guests that came on time, that they paid for beers and drinks. Two even paid over $50 each. I was livid because all the friends that told me they paid for drinks, also informed me they never received any complimentary top shelf drinks. Either the staff never served these drinks or they served them to the wrong people. They also never went out of their way to inform all my guests that there was free beers and wines available so some didn't even drink because they thought they were being charged..even though I told everyone it was an open bar, people don't read invites but Charisma could have done a better job to inform my guests there was an open bar. Charisma completely screwed up our open bar and made me and my wife look like cheapskates on a very important day. I get it, they were a little short staffed, but we all came out of a pandemic with problems. You would think after over a year and a half of helping us arrange and plan this celebration at their establishment that they wouldn't make that bad of a screw up. I called the Manager Joseph who we had to sit down with in the past to finalize party arrangements. He informed me he knew of the open bar situation and it was rectified by giving out free drinks, he mentioned that the bartender even paid out of her tips for one of my guests drinks. FYI Joseph and charisma, that guest ordered a open bar drink at 12:02 and you guys cut him and everyone off at 12am sharp, after messing up the open bar for the first hour. That $10 she pulled out of the tip jar still came from my own pocket. The manager and I went back and forth on the phone as they felt they rectified things and I felt cheated and asked for just a partial refund like 25% on the open bar costs as a courtesy, I wanted to use that refund to help pay back some of my guests directly..the manager said he would review the footage of the party and see how many drinks were paid for and would get back in touch with us. We never heard back from Charisma and honestly we were over it. I'm still shaking my head as I write this months later after our party. I wanted and was going to give Charisma 5 stars because it was a good deal; it is a beautiful venue, I did enjoy their customer service all up to an unfortunate incident that turned the experience sour at the end. I wouldn't not recommend Charisma. I've even had a guest's relative contact us asking me for their info for a party for themselves. read more

From the day I called, to the night of the event, I was treated with kindness and respect by all the staff. All my messages were promptly returned, and all my questions answered. They took care of everything--decorations, DJ, buffet, option of bar included or cash bar. The manager, Joseph, was personable & made it so easy to help with choices of decor and food options. When we arrived everything was in order & the place looked absolutely beautiful. My family was very much impressed and had an absolutely great time. The food was delicious! Anthony, the maitre-dee, was on point all night long, keeping me in line while I was distracted attending to my guests. We found Charisma thanks to a promotional sale they had, after checking the place out we booked it in early February of 2020 to celebrate our wedding reception at the end of October. Because our party was at the end of October we were on a month to month basis with the venue but because of COVID in the end we had to post pone the party till October 2021, then making it a wedding anniversary celebration. Communication with the venue could be better, being short staffed didn't help , people returning your calls not having all the info correct made things more stressful, the right person to speak with was Joseph the manager since he is the person u make all final decisions with. we manage to get it all together & had the party in October, the set up was Lovely & food was very good. Our food choice was Italian served buffet style, we added the salad bar & pastries plus the open bar for 4 hours, including the Dj. DJ was not bad he could have been better at playing the variety we requested from our list also better at interacting with the crowd. We had an issue during our party Open bar was paid for but there was some miscommunication & guest were being charged for Beer, heard some reports of wine as well which were both supposed to be included .. needles to say this was embarrassing for us we unfortunately didn't find out the extend of it till the next day. Once we contacted Charisma the conversation between hubby & Joseph was tit for tat, unnecessary because at the end of the day this place has been around for some time & things should have been handled more professionally. The back & forth ended up they (Joseph) saying he was going to check the security footage to see exactly how much was being charged... They/ Joseph was supposed to call us back that first Tuesday after our party which would have been 11/2 & see what could be done about us getting some compensation for the mishap still to this day we never heard back! At this point we were over it ... it's not worth the aggravation of the back & forth. We saw the event place early in the year before COVID19. The staff seemed friendly and responsible. We paid a deposit for our elderly parents bday party in the fall. Due to COVID19 large gatherings are prohibited. They refuse to refund our deposit and offered us to postpone party for same price next year. When we asked to get that offer in writing they did not respond. We call and email and no response. Finally we speak to a manager and she says we must pay more if we postpone. The bday party date has passed and they have been unresponsive. They basically took our money and did not offer a service and they are now asking for more money. A beautiful person deserving of a spectacular party symbolizing the conclusion of an important part of her life with her family and friends. We put down the deposit down to have the party at Charisma Ballroom before a lockdown was put in place. My siblings and I planned this party with sacrifices we made and the hard earned money we worked for, most of us being healthcare workers and Veterans. Between finding childcare and working, the siblings came together to plan this beautiful event for our mother and Charisma ballroom did not deliver. We understand it was beyond their control that a lockdown had to be put in place, however, any honest company or company owner would be humble enough to refund the deposit seeing as how it was not the customer's fault the customer wishes were not met. Charisma ballroom is keeping our deposit and not returning it. We took them to court and the courts believe Charisma ballroom was in the wrong and should return our deposit. Now, every time we call in attempt to collect our first payment, the receptionist Michelle has no idea what's going on yet we've spoke to her about the matter multiple times. They continued to make money throwing many other parties for different customers, yet Michelle tells us every time we call there isn't anybody from management available at the moment. There has been ONE time when a manager contacted us and ensured us that, "We are working on returning your deposit, but once that's done will you take down the Better Business Bureau review?" That is bribery and borderline extortion. Once our money is returned to us is not going to change the stress the situation has brought or bring back the time we wasted with this company. Jackie was beyond helpful through out all the planning and the day of (I can't remember her name but she's pregnant) she was very helpful and attentive as well. For a person like me that is a perfectionist and likes things a specific way and my hormones on 100 at the same time they definitely made my first (and last) baby shower a memorable one. We were able to set up and the staff was there the whole time making sure it was how I wanted it set up. The manager was so sweet! She made sure my girls were comfortable then set up there entrance. Last but not least the manager, Joseph, he was too much, he was so helpful in assisting your choice of food, color coordinating and any other necessities for your party. I didn't know he was on the mike in the DJ booth making the announcements! That was a shocker, he was awesome!! One more thing, you don't need to bring a DJ, they have a DJ and the DJ I had was name Alphonso, that guy was awesome. Overall, this is the place. Not my cup of tea but still a decent place to hold an event that will accommodate all ages. The ballroom is on the sub level so there is little disturbance to the neighbors. The venue was clean, a bit dated and the food was average yet edible. The in-house D.J. was good. He mixed well, played according to the requested song playlist and didn't play much profanity laced songs. There is a separate bar area, cost check and private room. The staff seem to be diligent with cleaning away dirty plates and utensils. The chairs were a little uncomfortable but the venue was decorated nicely. Had my daughters sweet 16 here and I can't be anymore happier. Anthony the host, thank you for guiding all of us tonight. Throughout the beginning of our entrance to the complete end of our event. You guided us throughout the candle ceremony, throughout the shoe ceremony and the first dance I had with my daughter. We also opted for the dancing on a cloud option and the whole floor was filled with dry ice it looked like we were in a movie. If you are having an event here definitely look into that. Hidden gem! Never knew about this place, happened to drive by kew gardens hills and see it. Called and made an appointment to walk through the venue and look at their packages. Really good packages for everything that it does come with. Beautiful and modern event space in a convenient location. The staff were very nice and they were following all of the COVID guidelines. CONS: 1) The DJ is terrible. Absolutely terrible. We had our wedding there, and during the consultation, we were told that the DJ had worked with HOT 97 as a DJ. That's pretty hard to believe. We completed the "wedding playlist sheet" where we described the songs that we wanted to hear, but the DJ literally played each song the entire way through. Like he doesn't know how to DJ, per se, meaning, he doesn't know how to mix a song into the next song (transition, blending), nor does he know how to use the song list that we gave him as a starting point from which to develop a solid playlist. He only catered to one type of attendee (the older folk) and completely couldn't grasp that he should have started to play more Hip-Hop songs when he saw that all the younger people were not on the dance floor. DJ's are the silent heroes of weddings -- be sure to book your own DJ if you book this venue. He was cringe-worthy bad -- like clearly not a real DJ that knows how to transition from one song to the next in a seamless way. His song selection beyond the songs that we gave him were bad. Good DJs know how to pivot to get people on the dance floor. He did not. 2) We booked the 8:00 pm slot for our wedding and told our guests to get there by 7:30pm. The venue manager told us that our wedding guests would be able to wait in the front foyer until the ballroom opened up. On the day of our wedding, we heard from a few guests that the venue staff was incredibly rude to some guests. Many of them had to wait outside of the venue altogether. The venue was only nice to people who stopped by to inquire about renting the venue for future engagements. Let me be clear: The venue was only nice to FUTURE business on the day of our wedding. They were rude to EXISTING business (us), seemingly b/c they have our money and they didn't care to make a good impression? That really made me upset. These are your wedding guests -- many of whom traveled far distances. Some guests will inevitably get there a bit early -- the venue should be more accommodating and kind to guests who would like to wait inside until the ballroom is ready. Charisma hosts two events per day, one from 2pm-6pm, and then another from 8pm-12am (midnight). Perhaps the venue should widen the gap between events to give them more cushion time to clean up and set up for the next event. And so host the afternoon event from 1-5pm and then the late evening event from 8pm-12am. 3) The venue wasn't very welcoming to third-party vendors who needed to access the venue early to set up. We had a florist come in to put center-pieces down and set up a floral hoop and she initially had trouble getting into the venue because of reason #2. The venue said that they were cleaning up and setting up, but they need to understand that weddings will have third-party vendors that also need to gain early access to set up. Imagine getting a call from your florist or your cake-delivery-guy saying that the venue refuses to let them inside the venue 1.5 hours before your wedding starts. That is what happened to us on the day of our wedding. They absolutely need to widen the gap between their afternoon and evening events. 4) THEY HAVE ONE BARTENDER. In fact, the lady conducting your consultation will likely be the bartender. She's cool and super sweet, but we had 115 wedding guests and you cannot serve alcohol in a normal-paced fashion with 1 bartender for 115 guests. We paid for an open bar and we didn't feel as if we got our money's worth. The line to get drinks was incredibly long. There should be one bartender working for every 30-45 guests. We should have had 2-3 bartenders working. Also, THE CUPS THAT THEY USE FOR THE OPEN-BAR DRINKS ARE INCREDIBLY SMALL. In fact, consider just doing a cash bar. Though if they don't increase the amount of bartenders they have, that line for a cash bar is going to be super long because each guest now has to order drinks and also pay for them. 5) The rice-and-peas and vegetable weren't good. The jerk chicken and salmon were good. 6) This is something you already know, but the venue's outdoor surroundings aren't great. It's a bit of an eyesore. I didn't think too much of this during the consultation, but on your wedding day, you're going to view it from this perspective. PRO's: 1) The venue has pretty arrangements that look nice in pictures. The pictures of us dancing on the dance floor looked great. Our photographer was amazing. 2) It's a sizable dance floor -- so if they get a real/new DJ, or if you hire your own DJ, you and your wedding guests will have ample space to have a good time on the dance-floor 3) Only book this venue if they have discounts going on -- meaning, you're paying no more than $48 for each guest. Anything more isn't worth it. OVERALL: Overall, only book this venue if you have an event that can occur during their afternoon slot. Also, get your own DJ. May 2018 I booked my sister's sweet 16 at this venue and it was a terrible experience. This is a honest review!! - during the party the food was not much. I had planned a party for 75 people however the food was only enough for 40 people - the Apple cider was flat - during the party the waiters took the food from my guest when they were not done eating - I was told if I want to bring candy it would require me to pay additional cost - I paid extra for fine china however the plates were not nice enough for my standards - I was only allowed to try two foods and not the entire menu - the balloon arch was underwhelming - my staff decide to clean up the party and clean up before all of my guest left - I had tea light in was and none of them were lighting The venue is nice enough and they offer you snow, bubbles, fog HOWEVER the staff does not show enough interest and excitement over your event. I choose this venue because there is only one party at a time but the staff doesn't show your event the attention it deserves. read more

Quite frankly, I'm shocked this venue has this many positive reviews, being that my experience was anything but. Please read pervious 1-star Google reviews of this venue. My rating of this venue is below a 0. There were two individuals that didn't make the experience any better which was the female hostess/bartender and the young male waiter who was extremely rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any type of event! First issue, although our set-up time was from 12:30-2PM, management decided that it was the appropriate time to show the space to several interested parties from about 1-2:30PM. Yes, that's right, during our set-up time and 30 MINUTES INTO OUR EVENT! It was extremely awkward having to set-up the stage and table centerpieces with 8+ strangers staring at us running around getting the place ready. Food- the second issue, the appetizers and food were cold. In addition, no plates were provided to accommodate the appetizers. I guess management thought it was okay to have us eat the appetizers off our hands. My father had to ask for a napkin because one wasn't provided. Apparently, even napkins were limited. With regards to the food, it was underwhelming. Both rices were uncooked and grainy, the Chicken Florentine sauce was okay but other guests indicated it had a weird flavor, and lastly, although it was buffet, they were extremely stingy with the meats. For example, we were only served 1 piece of rib, when asked for more, they refused. It should be noted, the event was paid for 75 guests and due to unforeseen circumstances, only about 45 people attended. Why were there so many limitations on the amount of meat is unknown to us. It should be noted that this venue had another party after ours which makes us think the limitation was to accommodate another event. Bar- the third and biggest issue. If you plan on booking this venue, make sure to read the fine print when it comes to the bar. Initially, it was a $700 tab. The reason an open tab was chosen was because our family doesn't drink too much. As previously mentioned, there was, on average, 45 people. Of those 45 people, more than half weren't drinking (some were pregnant, others designated drivers, few prefer not to drink, and the rest were children). They claimed that within 27 minutes, our party had drunk $700 worth of liquor/beers. Imagine our confusion! So, the scam of this venue is that it charges $25 per cup of "top shelf liquor". In our particular case, $25 per cup of Hennessy. I would also advise to review what drinks are included if deciding between open tab or open bar. FYI, Pina Colada's and Margaritas are not part of the open bar package and considered "top shelf" costing $10/drink. Since there was still over 2.5 hours in the event, it was decided to simply open the bar to avoid more issues. It should be noted we were quoted $1400 to have an open bar. At the event, they charged us $1900 ($1700 + $200 "administrative fee"). We had to remind them that this administrative fee was already paid. After all was said and done, a total of $2400 was paid ($700-tab + $1700- open bar). FYI, guests were still charged for top-self liquor after opening the bar. We are still unsure why this happened. Service was extremely unprofessional, not transparent, and rude. It was almost like we were bothering them. All the guests had to get everything, including the cake. There were about 2 waiters whose main responsibility was clearing off the table constantly. It was quite unnerving. Although it was informed to them that our party mainly spoke Spanish, the male waiter, when opening up the buffet and cutting the cake, he kept speaking in English even though the DJ spoke Spanish. Why they didn't have the DJ address our party due to the language barrier is beyond us. The worst and most embarrassing part was that our guests knew how disorganized and stingy this place was when it came to the food and drinks. It was such a disappointment booking this venue to celebrate our event and I would never recommend this place. Save yourselves the embarrassment and money pit and go somewhere else! read more

I had my daughters Sweet 16 on 6/24/16. The party exceeded our expectations. My guests were impressed with the venue, decor, food and DJ. We had a wonderful time. The staff really cared about making my daughter feel comfortable and making the event a success! I highly recommend Charisma. It's fairly priced and I have no regrets. Okay so first and foremost, this event venue is one that is hard to come across. They offer you an entire space all to yourself. They have a bar area and three different lounge areas and than the ballroom. Everything is spaced out nicely. The venue is also up to date; which is again, hard to come across. Breathtaking! Secondly, the service here is just absolutely wonderful. They treat you like family! And, there is nothing better than that. They provide a Full-staff working you're entire event. Including professional tuxedo staff members, a Maitrede' and managers on the floor. Very organized and very detail oriented; which again, really is something everyone looks for in a business and a place where you're going to be inviting family, friends and coworkers to enjoy your event. Third, the food is amazing! It really is delicious. My favorite dish was the Chicken alla vodka. Unbelievable!!!!! A friend of mine who attended will be contacting you to book her 50th birthday next year! I recommend this venue. And, to anyone looking - this is where your money will be well spent. They include everything! I didn't have to do anything. I just showed up. They made the place look so beautiful and they placed all of my centerpieces accordingly, and the tablecloths, napkins, runners. Everything just looked so incredible. Went to my little sister's sweet 16 bday party at this venue. I have to admit that I was impressed with how the Ballroom decorated for the event. I believe one of their specialties is sweet sixteens and quinceaneras. The food was pretty good and their is a bar for the adults to enjoy themselves. The fact that my little sister enjoyed herself also adds to my positive review. If you live in Queens you should definitely check this place out for your future events. read more

My family celebrated my daughter's Sweet 16 at Charisma Ballroom last night (April1, 2011) and I would like to share the positive experience we had with them. I've been in the party planning/entertainment business for over 20 years and have hosted and performed at countless events but had never heard of Charisma. We booked the location largely in part of my daughter falling in love with the place. During the four months from when we booked to the event date, I had experienced some reservations based on inconsistent information between the banquet manager and some staff. Again, since I had never heard of Charisma or even come across someone who had an event there, I just did not know what to expect. Charisma staff did an excellent job in preparing the room just as we had requested including setup of our candles, rose petals, etc. I must share the only comment that my guests made upon entering the room was "wow". The room was beautifully lit, a projector illuminated my daughter's name on the large screens and DJ Ross set the mood with upbeat background music. The compliments continued all through the evening and we are receiving great comments the day after. I must compliment the staff at our event including Jay, Anthony and the young Colombian girl, who went out of their way to make sure that every detail of the buffet setup, dessert setup, table decoration, and candle lighting were perfect. Their attention to detail was greatly appreciated and it was reflected in the wonderful comments from our guests. I also would like to thank Mr. Joseph, the banquet manager, for ensuring that all aspects of the event were completed smoothly. I only had two minor issues with Charisma - the two plasma televisions (that were to be included in our payment of the Photo Montage package) were not working on the day of our affair. Also, despite testing our photo montage a week before the event, the video froze on their laptop at the last 30 seconds. While slightly annoying, it did not negatively impact the overall party mood and I would encourage them to upgrade and repair the necessary equipment. Lastly, DJ Ross did an excellent job - he worked our play list and supplemented with appropriate and upbeat songs - our guests had a great time. As an entertainer, it's usually difficult for me to be satisfied by another DJ, but Ross impressed me. Great job.
