I ordered catering for my company. Dare I say they do live up their name. Customer service: 10/10 easy ordering online. they were responsive and went above and beyond throughout my ordering journey. Even when I made changes to my original selections they were accommodating. We had to do an uber courier pick up but an issue impacted delivery (the driver lied and canceled the trip). It didn't matter. The very lovely lady on the phone went out of her way to keep a look out for the new driver and had the food in the car with the quickness. Shout out to Mica! Food: 9/10 We had baked ziti, fried chicken, turkey wings, potato salad, peas and rice, Mac n cheese, greens, peach cobbler and banana pudding. Everyone loved the food. Literally no complaints and they wanted to know where the food came from because they wanted to visit it personally. Nothing was burnt. Everything had flavor. Fresh food. Crowd favorite was Mac n cheese. I personally thought the ziti was superb. Portions: 10/10 I got good amounts and was very happy about that. Pricing: 10/10 you get bang for your buck. Other competitors want damn near $30 a head talking about it feeds 5 people for $150 (I know the math is off. Relax). Top Tier knows their customer base and their neighborhood. You will feed your whole family without going broke. And the food is good. Would I order from them again?: YES. I've ordered as a regular customer every now and again so I knew the food was good enough to consider for my event. But now that I see how good they are with catering they are top of my list moving forward. 1 Star -- Extremely Disappointing and Dangerous Experience This was my first time ordering from Top Tier Catering, and unfortunately, it will likely be my last. I ordered through Uber Eats, but before placing my order, I went above and beyond to make sure I could safely eat the food. I actually called the restaurant beforehand and specifically asked about my sesame allergy. I was told that the wings I was interested in contained sesame seeds, but that if I made note of my allergy, the kitchen would follow those instructions. Fast-forward to my order arriving about 40 minutes later -- and after spending $55 -- I discovered that two of my four items had sesame seeds all over them. And when I say all over them, I mean whoever prepared the food went absolutely crazy with the sesame seeds. There were even sesame seeds inside the container with the pork chops and in one of my containers of collard greens. I cannot explain how frustrating and upsetting this was, especially because I took the time to call the restaurant BEFORE ordering specifically to discuss my allergy. I also listed my sesame allergy multiple times when placing the order through Uber Eats. To make matters worse, the receipt attached to the bag clearly listed my allergies -- not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times under the individual meals. There was even a large section on the receipt clearly marked "ALLERGIES." At that point, I genuinely had to question whether the kitchen staff simply didn't read the order or were being negligent. This isn't a preference or a request to leave off an ingredient that I don't like. This is a food allergy that I specifically disclosed multiple times. Cross-contamination and failure to follow allergy instructions can have serious consequences. I immediately tried to resolve the issue. Since I ordered through Uber Eats, I had to submit a claim through the app, as there isn't an easy way to speak directly with a live person. So now I have to wait and see whether Uber will actually refund me. I also called the restaurant directly. A man answered the phone and told me to hold. I waited on hold for approximately eight minutes before eventually hanging up. I called back several times afterward, and the phone began going straight to voicemail. And before anyone says I should have simply brought the food back: I live more than 20 minutes away, which is exactly why I ordered through Uber Eats. I made several attempts to contact the establishment and give them an opportunity to address this directly before posting this review, but unfortunately, I was unable to reach anyone. I am extremely disappointed. When a customer clearly discloses a serious food allergy before ordering, in the order notes, and on the receipt, the expectation should be that those instructions are taken seriously. This was not a minor mistake -- it was a major failure in handling an explicitly stated allergy. I hope the restaurant takes this situation seriously and reviews how allergy orders are communicated and prepared in the kitchen. I understand accidents happen, but this should not have happened. You literally have to read the order to prepare the food so how did you miss sesame allergy on a receipt paper more than four times I will never understand! read more

Yummy in my tummy. Ever since my 1st order I crave their chicken wings. Something about those well seasoned wings with that perfect crunch that I can't get enough of. My 2nd favorite are the fried pork chops. There's not too many places in Brooklyn that you can get fried pork chops from a soul food restaurant, it's just as flavorful as the wings. The catfish isn't bad either. Not really a fan of the sweet chili shrimp. I'll try them fried plain next time. To me the sides are a hit or miss. One order the sides were great and the next mediocre. We popped into Top Tier Catering when visiting a friend in Brooklyn for some banana pudding. It was so nice stepping inside and enjoying the cool À/C, I immediately noticed how clean the place was. The owner Sean was so super professional friendly and kind. After discovering that it was our first time at Top Tier Catering, Sean offered us all his welcome platter sampler. We were able to try a little of everything and it was ALL SO flavorful and delicious! The sampler platter included a chicken wing, collared greens, Mac and cheese Yams ,and ox tail. Location reopened under new ownership. Ordered my favs the register price was different from the menu and posted price. I asked why and was told it was the tax. $2 tax on $25 excessive. But when I got my final receipt there was tax on the entire order in the amount $4.88 on $52.50 which included the $27 price of the item. Saw a deal for BOGO wingettes on Uber eats so decided to give it a try. Overall, it was tasty and the chicken did have a good amount of meat on it but if I could tone down the sweetness and sauciness a bit I think I would have enjoyed it more. The peas and rice were pretty good, but the yams were way too sweet that I almost couldn't finish them. On a recent trip to Brooklyn, I made may way to Bedford Stuyvesant aka Do or Die Bed Stuy to a highly recommended spot called Top Tier Catering on the corner of Decatur and Saratoga. It's a strictly take out spot. It's small but good things come in small packages. Touted as luxury southern cuisine, it lives up to this claim. Ordered 2 large oxtails, and the lamb chop special in chili sauce. Meals come with two sides each. So I got a assortment. Greens (with smoked turkey) and rice and peas, garlic mashed potatoes, mac and cheese. The proteins were superior. The oxtail was cooked as oxtail should, to the point where it fell off the bone. The lamb was tender. The chili sauce was yummy and sticky and set off the already flavorful lamb. The mac and cheese was good for the mac and cheese purists like me. Tenders noodles with a good flavorful cheese. Gooey but not oily. Another favorite was the rice and peas. Now if you take the oxtail juices and put them on that rice. Life changing. The food was really well seasoned but not salty. It's truly luxury without over indulgence. Chef B is mad a scientist in the best way possible. Oh the desserts never made it to film.
