It's rare that wedding food is even better than the tasting, and that's what Scott and Vita gave us. Some comments from my guests have been the following: "Top 5 wedding food, and I've been to a lot of weddings!" "I wanted a bucket of those tiny potatoes." "The steak was so buttery and melted in your mouth." "The cheesecake was to die for." "The chicken was so juicy and flavorful." "What did they do to these lentils? They're delicious!" Guests kept walking past our sweetheart table and giving thumbs up while getting more food. We asked for a heavily vegetarian menu, with herbed chicken and NY strip steak to satify the meat-eating groom and guests. The food was so good that my guests went back for seconds and thirds. The attention from the staff was top notch. The bartenders even ran out before hand to get some items for a special Peruvian cocktail my FIL wanted them to make, and the concierge for our sweetheart table was impeccable. I would look around, and he would instantly appear with more water, champagne, food, drink, anything we could want. Even with a last minute change of venue due to AC difficulties, they pulled everything off without a hitch, and smile for everyone. We worked with them on our wedding and from start to finish, everything was wonderful and exactly as we had envisioned (and oftentimes better!). They made the space (the Queens Museum) absolutely beautiful and seamlessly worked with our other vendors to make sure everything went off without a hitch. We got endless compliments on the food, from the cocktail hour where everything was fully stocked to the delicious entrees (and accommodations for folks with restrictions!). Everything was fantastic and all of our guests had plenty to eat and drink all night long. They even had a speciality apple cider made to kick off cocktail hour which was a great way to keep the bars from getting super crowded early on! They also just helped with all the little things -- making sure the bathrooms were decorated, helping us through the processional, serving chocolates we had gotten from an outside vendor. Scott and Vita were super easy to contact along the way and were so helpful in elevating our wedding and making it an unforgettable night for us, our family, and our friends. There is so much I can say about Scott and his team at LDV! We recently had our company holiday party (yes we have a lot of people out of town in Dec. hence, the Jan. party lol) and I could not have asked for a better team to work with. The food was delicious and everyone raved about the salmon and steak we had. I explained my vision to one of his colleagues (I HATE THAT I FORGOT HER NAME, PLEASE FORGIVE ME) and she knew exactly how to explain it to the staff when setting up our tables. The linens and plating were beautiful. The bartenders were super friendly. The servers delivered our food meticulously well. I chose La Dolce Vita to cater a birthday party for 70 people from what I could see and read online. I thought I should probably have some personal input from someone but went with these guys without it. They are a GREAT surprise! Interesting food, ability to cater to every need, refined service, organization, presentation. All my guests were happy. La Dolce Vita staff handled the little bumps along the way and my job was easy. Scott is a terrific help in the planning stages and found us an amazing piano cake to suit the birthday boy. Spectacular! Chef Vita and Scott did an outstanding job at our dinner party (prep, bartender, chef, server, and cleanup!) and left us time to spend with our nearly 20 guest! The food was perfection. The coconut shrimp (my favorite!) tuna tartare and meatball appetizers were a smashing success. I loved the flavorful tuna and avocado, it was delicious and unique. For dinner we had the salad, polenta, steak, and fish, to rave reviews of our guests. Dessert bites were beyond outstanding. We had our daughters first birthday party with about 50-60 people and all everyone kept saying was how good the food was. Scott and his crew were extremely professional, timely, understanding, clean and caring. Each of them made a point to check-in on us hosts to make sure we were getting enough food and that we got to sample everything. The space they had to work with in the kitchen wasn't the biggest and because they were so organized it never phased them. I only wish I ordered more, I could have eaten everything for lunch and dinner the rest of the week. I'll definitely be calling Scott again for my next party and highly recommend him. read more
