Bland, Non seasoned macaroni

Fantastic staff. They were all very polite and the place a had a great ambianchowever the food... Fish and chips were some of the worst I've had. No seasoning on fish or fries. Fries were extremely soggy. The Cole slaw I took one bite and it was most definitely bad not to mention again... no seasoning or flavor other than a sour taste which I'm 99% sure it was bad. The macaroni.... the blandest macaroni I've ever tasted. No seasoning again. No salt. Not even the breadcrumbs ontop tasted like anything. This tells me it's low quality food without any seasoning? Salad was bland. Ranch was bland. I had a few pieces of lettuce with mostly croutons. I'm mostly perplexed by how you can even make food taste so bland? I did get an assortment of pies which looked delicious but haven't had yet. Extremely disappointing experience. If you do go here I suggest bringing your own spices. $50 for all of this food to only be able to eat the fish. Don't waste your time here

Absolutely in love with this gem of a place! We ended up here purely by luck and randomly, because we got lost in trying to get up to the Cliff House on top of Mansfield Mountain (hello, taking the gondola!) Anyhoo, we ended up being so HUNGRY and in our lost state, we ended up just asking a Good Samaritan who told us to check out this little place for brunch! We finally made it around 1:20 (Christmas Eve, too, BTW) and they were closing at 2pm. I felt that at any other place, any party waltzing in about half hour prior to closing would be met with an attitude and / or an eye roll. But not the staff at Jericho Tavern! They were so warm, friendly and welcoming!! We sat down and had some amazing grub! We weren't rushed at all either. The waitress was kind and friendly and patient. I had Steak and Eggs (for extra protein!) which was cooked to perfection - truly yummy! And I never get Steak & Eggs usually. The coffee was also delicious and my hubby had the CUTEST and scrumptious hot chocolate! I would love to come back to this cozy nice place with some TRULY tasty diner options! Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Blueberry cornbread muffins with citrus butter

Cars were parked in the lot plus along the road, attesting to the popularity of this resturaunt however my friend and I were seated right away, we sat in a very cozy section in the back. We could hear the band but it wasn't too loud. I opted for a light lunch of Mac and tomato soup. The soup was ok but needed some hot sauce to kick it up a notch The corn muffins were confusing ,there were blueberries in it and served with a citrus butter. The muffins were somewhat dry, and if I wasn't told that they were corn bread muffins I would not have known ,seemed more like a cross between a muffin and cornbread. I'm not sure if I wold have chose a citrus butter ,I think a maple or honey butter would have been better.

Absolutely LOVED this spot. The food was so incredibly good and the service was awesome. I showed up right at open (because I got kicked out of my hotel for check out) and they were so sweet. When I was a server I used to hate when people would show up right at open but they were the best. The place is so cozy with so many good views. Lots of windows to look at scenery and a patio :) 10/10

The band.

Mrs. Martin Vanzo gives this restaurant 5 stars for its food quality. And its service also gets 5 stars. The atmosphere is a 10 out of 10. The wings are especially good. The maple chicken chili BLT is also excellent.

Food - reliable, very tasty brunch. This place is solid. It's not a place you go to find character…read moreor romance or novelty, but it's definitely a solid brunch spot. They have a fairly extensive menu. We had fresh hot coffees, eggs Benedict, and a pancake. The eggs Benedict was perfectly executed and had all the right textures. The English muffin was moist on the inside, crunchy on the outside and buttery ontop. The egg was very soft and nicely poached. The Hollandaise was very delicate and tasty, and more acidic. Notably more acidic but not to its detriment. The breakfast potatoes were very flavorful, soft and earthy. Service - this was a little challenging but I know all restaurants are really hurting right now and they were trying their best. We had to wait a while between visits from our waitress, but she was very kind and good natured. Restaurant/cleanliness - for some reason, the restaurant had a slightly off smell to it. It smelled like it hadn't been deep cleaned or properly cleaned in a while. Perhaps of old food and human sweat. It's sort of hard to put a finger on the smell but it was pungent. I think the restaurant just really needs to be deep cleaned daily, but again, I understand resources are limited.

When there for breakfast it was almost empty. French toast had zero special about it could be eaten literally anywhere including a budget hotel continental breakfast. The breakfast burrito was tasty due a unique sauce (otherwise not super flavorful) and incredible potatoes. For dinner, We ordered the mac and cheese and mussels to start. I would say the execution from a technical level was good, but flavor was average. The burger was tasty but nothing special and the chicken dish was interesting. Again, technique wise super impressive: crispy skin and incredibly moist. However, it was pretty underseasoned. The gnocchi accompanied was very tough almost indistinguishable and very overseasoned with black pepper. The pork belly was just there. The drink selection is very, very extensive. We found this a bit disappointing when handed a dessert menu that had 3 desserts and 50+ dessert drinks in addition to the 4 page drink menu.

We were staying in Essex Junction for the weekend and looked for a nearby spot for breakfast, which…read moreled us to The Pinwheel. It has a really cute, homey feel, and the staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. We ordered the Skits N' Gravy, a side of the sourdough pancake, and two coffees. My husband--who absolutely loves biscuits and gravy--was excited to see the Skits N' Gravy on the menu. While it wasn't quite what he expected (the biscuit was much denser than a traditional biscuit and the gravy is bacon-based rather than sausage), he still enjoyed trying something different but said he'd just order a different dish next time as this was not his favorite. I had the sourdough pancake, and for a "side," it was impressively large. It was delicious and came with Vermont maple syrup, which was a great touch. The coffee was good, and we appreciated that they offered almond milk as a dairy-free option. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely return if we're in the area again--just with a slightly different ordering strategy next time!

Once seated, the ambiance was warm, cozy, and welcoming perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch spot. The space has a friendly neighborhood vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. The service was excellent. My server, Sarah B., was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was just right without being overbearing. As a first-time guest, I really appreciated how smooth and welcoming the experience felt. For food, I ordered the Focaccia Melt - $11 with tomato, spinach, cheddar, and basil mayo. I added an egg (+$2) and avocado (+$3.75), and it was absolutely worth it. The focaccia was perfectly toasted, the ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavors was balanced and satisfying. The egg added richness, and the avocado was creamy and generous. On the side, I had the hashbrowns ($3.50), which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside exactly how hashbrowns should be. To drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte with almond milk ($4.50). It was warm, flavorful, and not overly sweet great pairing with breakfast. Overall, The Pinwheel delivered great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll be back to try more of the menu. I recommend if you're in the Essex Junction area looking for a solid breakfast spot!

The staff are always so polite and friendly. The breakfast sandwiches are always so delicious. Many options for vegetarians, or you can have the most delicious bacon you'll ever eat on a sandwich. The rolls are fresh baked in house, and certainly tasty, though I think they'd be better a bit smaller. The baked goods aren't extravagant in terms of uniqueness, but they hit the basics exceptionally well. Blueberry muffins are always moist, and the morning roll with the sugar and butter is so light and fluffy. I like that they also offer savory options in their herb scones. I find their menu prices to be quite reasonable. Most baked goods are around $3, with some less. Breakfast sandwiches start at $4 and the $6 ones are well worth it. In all fairness, I've never been nearby for lunch so I can't comment on that. But WCS is delicious, friendly and affordable. I was concerned for them when a competitor opened nearby, but they've weathered it and I know that I'll always choose WCS for a simple breakfast or pastry treats for the office.

Which mind you an almond croissant is simply a day old croissant that is split in half and filled with almond past and rebaked. They had been out of coffee and almond croissants that day and I don't know about the ambiance for that day. However I do know that the croissant we got was not fresh it was stale and the didn't have an airy flaky texture that true butter laminated croissants are supposed to have. It tastes like they used a cheap subpar butter and have burnt the croissant. The breakfast burrito was also badly wrapped and leaking everywhere and had for some god awful reason been filled with hard boiled eggs instead of scrambled eggs which only made it harder to handle.
