Tiffany is delightful, knowledgeable, and a real dog lover! I called Jens Pet Parlor to see if they had a self wash area. Tiffany answered the phone and immediately started a comfortable conversation about what kind of fur baby I had and would I consider a groomer vs a self wash facility. She was warm and friendly and talked about her dogs as well. She described their services and why she'd personally like to groom my beautiful golden girl. She also told me what I could expect and how much it would cost. She mentioned a service I wasn't aware of that removes dead hair cells and helps with the coat to breath. It's some type of shampoo and rinse, not a fermi actor that is a bunch of sharp blades that hurt your pet. I decided to give her a whirl and was very, very pleased. My golden was beautiful and not at all traumatized when I picked her up as she had been from previous parlors! Don't bring your dog here if they are senior and have growths, tumors, cysts which are painful. We were coming here for over a year. They shaved my dogs private area a couple times too short and gave him razor burn :( which was painful for a week for him. Not much of an apology there. But I let them know as to hopefully not repeat it. Our final visit, The groomers here have no skills or patience for seniors sadly :( they called me after washing my 14 year old 20 lb Lhasa Apso, and said he can no longer come here please pick him up. I asked what happened, the groomer at the time don't remember her name, groomers turn over so fast there, she said he lunged at me and bit my hand. First of all "lunged"? Lol That's nice, but at his age he cannot do that. And maybe he tried to nip you to tell you to "stop or wait" if you're not giving him time to relax and are rushing with him! and he's anxious and scared! When I picked him up i apologized about his behavior, I felt so bad :( I did not see anything wrong with her hand which she said "he bit". I felt so bad leaving like we did something wrong as we're "banned" from coming back. I have a very senior dog, 14! What am I supposed to do let his hair drag behind him on the floor? she suggested I bring him to the vet to put him under sedation to get groomed. Are you kidding me? Oh well! We found a really nice place where my friend who also has a senior / anxious dog, goes. We've been taking him to Prestige pet salon in Chandler, (don't have to get sedated by our vet!) and Kristen does an Amazing job every time! She gives him time to calm down if he's getting anxious, is patient, and talks to him during his grooming session. :) she's got great grooming skills! You either got it, or you don't! read more

I have never had worst customer service in my life. I called to confirm my appointment for tomorrow and Jennie (the owner) picked up and said I don't have an appointment and they aren't open Saturdays. I asked why no one called me and told me earlier that they deleted my appointment. She said it's because I don't have an email on there, but no one has ever asked for it, now she is saying I turned my notifications off from them, which is simply untrue. I asked if they can fit me in soon since this was an inconvenience for me and not my fault, she simply said no and the soonest she can get me in is a month. I told her I would go somewhere else and she said okay, not caring she was loosing a customer. I then call them multiple times to talk to Jennie again to resolve the issue and take the appointment a month out, she ADMITS to IGNORING my phone calls ALL DAY LONG and then emails me saying I am no longer aloud at their place because they don't feel comfortable with me and that I called them all day and wrote a bad review. I did absolutely nothing wrong but get upset at their lack of customer service, then I call to give them another chance, they ignore me all day long, get upset I write a review with THEIR LACK OF SERVICE, and ban me from ever going back. I have been going here for years, very disappointed, and will be letting all my friend know that go there about this. Also- I am not frustrated that you deleted my appointment due to COVID, I am frustrated that you never let me know about it, and then when I called, you would not find another appointment sooner. Yes, in my opinion, you should do everything you can to get me in as soon as possible, even if it means coming in on a day you usually don't. The least you could have done was be apologetic and understanding with me over the phone, it goes a long way with customers read more

Jen and her staff are absolutely amazing. I've taken my dogs to quite a few different groomers throughout the East valley, and none of impressed me the way that Jen's Pet Parlor does. I would never go here again. Absolutely the worst. They charge a lot of money for a subpar job. Second time I went here they shaved my dogs private area which made it very uncomfortable for her for at least a week. Third time I went here they charged me for a haircut and my dog barely got a cut. Their attitudes however is what makes me give them 1 star. They gave me the worst attitude from start to finish. I take my two pittie mixes here. I always worry leaving them because I'm a nervous mom pet owner. One of my dogs is nervous with people but Lauren always does great with her. They always walk in back wagging their tails and when I come back they are always happy so I know they are truly in good hands. This was the first ever pet parlor I've been to and they did great! I have a maltipoo that likes to roll around the backyard, so she had a heavy load of knots in her hair. Okay so this was our first time here and I'll make an update with our next appointments! We had a great experience! I called and spoke with someone friendly who got us scheduled rather quickly and conveniently! We went in and got there a little early and met with our groomer Jessica who chatted with me about our cat and the cut and heard me out and made suggestions and everything felt great, she took him back early and let me know about an hour and and a half sounded perfect I went and ran my errands and got a call right on time and picked my little guy up! He seemed happy and looked beautiful... it's definitely a challenge to find a great cat groomer so I had expectations but was interested since I had seen they groomed cats based on some of their photos! I will never take my dog here again. They had the worst customer service I have ever had with a groomer. It's unfortunate that we're taking our dog back to a corporate groomer, but apparently, small business was not the way to go. The lesser price was not worth the harassment and ill treatment of my dog. I took my dog in for an 8:30 morning appointment, and I notified them that I was dropping her off on my way out of town and that my husband would pick her up after he got off of work at 2:30. The lady signing me in was not listening at all, and I had to keep repeating myself or reminding her of details. For example, right after I said that I was going out of town/could not be reached by my cell and to call my husband, she said, "ok. We'll call you in about two hours to pick your dog up." I then had to remind her again that I am not going to be around, to call my husband and to remember that he can only pick her up after his shift. She then took the leash, and said she'll call my boyfriend, so I reminded her again he's my husband and that he's picking her up after his shift. I don't think she was listening at all because she called me an hour later while I was en route to my destination, and she sounded frantic, asking me to pick up my dog because she believed she had a contagious ring worm. I told her that I didn't think she had ring worm and had skin allergies, then reminded her again, I was out of town and to call my husband. I told her I would call him as well to ensure he heard the news because she said that they have a small space, she was going to quarantine her in a kennel because she was afraid of her spreading her disease to their other clients. I told her my husband may be able to pick her up after 10:30-11am because that's his lunch. After that, they still called both me and my husband several times between the span of over an hour, threatening to charge us $25 for every hour they have her even though again I had repeated several times that I am not in town and my husband is at work. Also, the way they talked about my dog was like she was a diseased animal that we purposefully took over there to hurt them. I was at that point upset about how they had harassed us. But this was not the worst of it. My husband immediately took our dog to the vet right after because we were worried about the diagnosis by our groomer of ring worm, and our vet said it looked nothing like ring worm but they took a culture to alleviate our fears. We spent close to $180 for this check up to find out that their diagnosis of our dog was incorrect, so essentially, plus the $25 for the wash that they charged us for, we spent over $200 for this visit to the groomer and it was not necessary at all! She had skin allergies, like we thought, which is what she has always had and told them about. Also, the last two times we had brought her in, she has had skin allergies and this was never even mentioned or such panic was given to the situation. The vet said that allergies cannot be spread to other dogs, cats or people, so to the groomer who thinks she's a doctor, please don't diagnose dogs as you are not a vet. And to make matters worse, I am not sure what they did to her, but our dog was scared, whining and shaking when she got out of there. My dog is not a disease and should not be treated like patient zero in Resident Evil. Never again will I put my trust in any groomer outside of Petsmart. read more

I had just came down here in the fall of 2015 to stay with my son and his family and I have 2 senior dogs. They were just opening in Gilbert and they were close so I thought I would give the a try. Best thing I did for my dogs. Jeanie was so kind to my old girl. All of the groomers aar very good. I have taken my dog here a few times and the staff is always very nice. My concern is I just left the vet and they said who ever is grooming my dog is not doing a good job. My dog has a lot of hair around his paws so you can't see his nails, the vet said the nails were so long the back ones were growing into his paw which is why he was chewing his paws as they were causing pain. I didn't realize I had to check my dog nails even after he gets groomed regularly. read more

I just took my dog here for the first time and am so happy at what a great experience I had! From the moment I made the appointment over the phone to when I walked out the door, I can't say one negative thing. My dog is very timid around new people and the entire staff gave him time to warm up and scope out the place until they could see he was getting more comfortable. They were extremely friendly and did all that I asked for his grooming. He was done in just over an hour. Places I have gone in the past have kept him there for 3 - 4 hours which just added more stress for him. Poppy left feeling calm and happy, and looking good! read more

I brought my little corgi doxi mix lulu in here and they did a wonderful job with her and were very informative about what would make us happy with a less furry home and what would also keep lulu comfy in the heat. I'm really glad that I gave Jen's a shot. It was an easy and perfect experience. Jen was very nice, so sweet to my little Jackapoo. He looked great and was super relaxed and happy after his grooming. And he didn't smell like perfumey soap! (We have allergies and the last groomer we tried used such a stinky shampoo that we could hardly stand to be near him for days). Also, she got Ollie's paws done perfectly! I've had two other groomers claim they couldn't cut the hair on his paws shorter without shaving them. I knew this wasn't true because I groom my large doodles and have no issue trimming the paws short. Jen did a perfect job. She was also very timely and the location was convenient. Next time I'll probably get my grocery shopping done and have a Starbucks while he's getting groomed, but it was easy enough to just go pick him up. He was done in 1 hour. I have taken my Standard Poodle, Charlie, to Jennie for years now. To say he is "difficult" to groom is an understatement. Before we found Jennie, we had some questionable experiences with other groomers, and had a hard time finding someone who could groom him at all. Jennie has been wonderful with Charlie. She has worked with him over the years and she is very patient and kind with him. She manages to make him look great and he loves her!
