I really like this place when I need a quick, solid nail service. They have a nice selection of gel colors to choose from. They are detailed in their trimming and shaping. The space is comfortable, people are friendly, and the shopping center is easy to get in and out of with ample parking. Never going there again. Poor service!!! They should shut down. Don't even deserve a one star. There ladies are only after tips they get specially lady called MIU MIU . I also feel they are a bit racist towards Indians and do not give them a good service compared to the other crowd coming in. I went there to relax myself but the lady completely spoiled it . She dint do a good massage and on top of that couldn't understand what I want her to do. I clearly told her to be careful with cuticles as I am expecting and do not want any infection. She still plucked it that I had little bit of blood coming out and then applied a gel without even asking me whether I should apply it. There could be any chemicals in the gel. And before doing the manicure she said I have to pay since I will have nail polish later , so I paid but tip I kept it for later. I thought I will give her before leaving in spite of hurting me. But she thought I am not going to tip her so after I was done with my manicure , so rudely she told me to go and sit there and dry your nails & pushed the side of my chair I was sitting on. I got so pissed and told her hello lady be soft I am pregnant you could hurt me but looks like she dint understand and after that incident I decided not to tip her at all. Go to hell. So not in Livermore! Jennys nails in Dublin. I had an older woman who was giving me a pedicure, and I was not paying attention (reading my book) she dosed my feet in cuticle remover and start vigoursly scrubbing them, it immeaditly started burning and I yanked my feet away and into the water. The picture shows part of the damage to my feet which is incredibly painful to walk or stand on. I did not receive any form of an apology, though another woman who worked there (I assume the manager) did grab neosporin and bandage up my feet so I didn't bleed into my shoes...BEWARE! read more

Great manicure- detail oriented, meticulous (slow in a good way), gentle. Nice location and nice people! I got a gel manicure and they used the dremel file for the first layer but then she used hand tools to get off the remainder of the gel! This is my favorite technique as it is gentler to my nail bed. She examined my nails closely and filed minimally but got them very smooth. Personal favorite: at the end, she filed them just a bit to separate the nail from my finger. RUN!!! Do not go to this place. It is filthy dirty, the people are rude and surly and the quality of the work is just shameful. Like many of the ladies who have written in, I was just too tired to venture off my route home so I stopped in for a manicure and pedicure. I had not been to this place since it opened - way back when the help was rude but the place was clean. Boy was I sorry. You will cringe at how dirty the place feels. My pedicure started 15 minutes after the lady next to me and finished 10 minutes before her. I got no massage as part of my pedi and my toe nail polish was sloppy at best. My manicure was terrible. The lady doing my nails failed to even push back the cuticle on ALL of my nails and everywhere she trimmed the cuticle ended us jagged and uneven. When I got up to wash my hands, she had instructed someone else to sit down in my chair at her station to ensure she wouldn't miss another paying client. She painted my fingers nails standing up with paint I told her that I didn't like. Not at all surprising the paint started peeling the next day. I will never go back and I give caution to anyone who stops in here. I am not convinced that the folks who work in the shop are licensed. Please don't put your feet in those filthy basins. I saw a basin reused after only a brief wipe down. The staff is rude and surly and really could care a less. The concept of customer service, respect or satisfaction has never entered their consciousness. I was so irritated at the poor quality work and lack of consideration that I told the technician and the owner calmly, quietly and discreetly that I would not be leaving her a tip and was very disappointed in the poor paint job on both my fingers and toes. The owner didn't care and neither did the lady doing my nails - all she cared about was the money from the next customer. Total time for a manicure and pedicure was 32 minutes. The breakdown: Pros: Cheap Never super busy The ladies are all really nice The girls do good nails Great location Surprisingly enough i was brave enough to try getting my eyebrows waxed, and they did a really good job! So i will always go back to them. This place is DIRTY. I think they cheat their health inspections, because it just FEELS dirty and unsanitary in there and before I knew better, I used to get my nails done here. On the occasions that Tony himself worked on my nails, I couldn't help but notice that his hands were usually visibly dirty with dirt and who knows what else on them. I think that I got lucky that I didn't catch foot or finger fungus. The wife does waxing in the back and while her demeanor isn't what I would call exactly friendly, the wax job on my face was decent (at least she didn't take my skin off like the person at Perfect Nails), however, I noticed that she didn't replace the paper cover on the seat before I sat down. Don't expect a quality acrylic or gel fill or full set from this place - it's usually too thick and will end up peeling off of your finger sooner than you would expect. Compared to some of the other locations I have been to,the quality of their acrylic product is not as good - it has a very chemical smell to it which is stronger than the product used at Galaxy Nails in San Ramon. Don't expect spectacular service here or any pleasantaries. (well, one of the ladies who does nails here is pleasant. Unbelievable, I know!) They take walk ins. You might have to wait, because despite the not so special service, they do have customers. Their mani-pedis are pretty decent. In that, they do last longer than most others expensive, fancy places I have been to. And I have never had to worry about paying cash only since both the services come above $25 for me. Around $40 each time. The reason I gave them only 3 stars is because: a) They could use better spa seats and better massaging options. b) General, unfriendly disposition. c) Not a big variety in nail colors. d) Foot massages don't last very long. I always recommend this place. I've gotten my nails done many times at this place, and I can always be sure that my nails will stay on for at least a month. They're always very sturdy and well done. They also have a lovely variety of colors and are always very open to new things (multiple colors, extra sparkles, etc.) by request. It's also nice that they'll accept walk-ins and will even stay til after closing to finish your appointment. There is very little I can say that is bad about this place. For the bad things, when you get a pedicure, they're asp supposed to give you a leg massage and rub with a scrub, but sometimes this is forgotten. Also, I notice that a lot of the time you'll end up waiting quite a bit longer than necessary because some of the employees work much slower than the others -and I'm talking like an hour and a half for what should be a 45 minute job. With this in mind, I still highly recommend this place and always make sure to bring it up mainly because the nails last so long when I get them done here. read more

Walked in and made an appointment for later on the day. I asked for a gel powder manicure & gel pedicure. My nails lasted FOREVER and didn't chip, fade, or peel at the bottom. I was very impressed. I tried making another appointment via phone for a last minute appointment but their line was busy so I had to go to another local place... which was a big let down. This salon wasn't much worse than any place that I've ever gone too. The service was good. I didn't really feel like cattle and most of the women there were not rude to me. Its probably because I could speak Vietnamese to them and carry a conversation. There were two women working on my nails. One lady did my pedicure while the other lady did my nails. I though they did a pretty good job on both. The only thing I really didn't like or had major issues with was how sanitary the place was. With all the news about people getting foot and leg and skin infections from nail shops I am really concerned with how they clean their equipment. It doesn't seem like they clean the cutting tools after each job. They put the tools right back into the box marked "CLEAN TOOLS" after each use. I was watching all the women and at no point did any of them stop to clean or sanitize the tools. However, they did clean the foot spa with a disinfecting spray after each customer. Also they do wash their towels. I saw them put a load in to the washer. The women were getting new towels which each change in customer. read more

Since I live nearby, I came here for the first time last week to take off my shellac nails and get a regular manicure. My manicurist was very friendly and even after I smudged one of my nails she happily fixed it for me. Also having a TV is great for me; helps keep me occupied. My grandma, and I went in to get our nails done. I asked for a manicure, and my grandma got gel powder. The lady did my manicure very well, and they didn't talk to each other constantly like some other nail salons. The reason I put 1 star is because they ruined my grandma's nails. When she asked them to stop cutting the nail, they said it won't last long if she doesn't do it. My grandma had gotten her nails done every 3 weeks and never got treated this way. When she said she was done, the lady yelled and said "Im not finished!" They said that my grandma didn't have to pay for hers, so she paid for just mine. Then the owner ( I think) threatened to call the police. My grandma was very mad. When we drove in our car the ladies took a picture of our license number. By far one of the worst places I have seen. I can't speak to the nail services here, but I can say for a quick and cheap facial waxing, this is a great place. $10 for eyebrows is a deal in the tri-valley area, and the best part is that the quality of the eyebrow waxing here is much better than some other local places where i have paid $15-20. I definately DO NOT recommend getting bikini waxing here (I made that mistake once!) She doesn't seem to understand the correct technique with bikini waxing, and just kind of applies and waxes in every direction at random... The downside is that this place will only accept a check for services over $25 base price.. I understand requiring a minimum for a credit card or debit transaction, but personal checks?? They will offer the use of their in house ATM, but a fan of bank fees. read more

Been here in the past and have not returned. My daughter and I decided to get our nails done last Sunday since our usual go to nail salon was closed. After our service, it reminded me why I never went back to this place. I paid extra for my pedi to get organic scrub. I was disappointed because i thought I'd get something special. As it turns out, it's similar scrub that I get at my usual place with NO extra charge. It was a rip off. Additionally, the gal that provided me service was a bit sloppy. She's a bit too busy watching the warriors game. But of course!!! My gel manicure was sloppy too! Yuck! I only went because I was too tired to venture far from home, and decided to to give it a try. Not smart. As the other women have pointed out, this place is DIRTY. The tools are re-used and the pedicure basin isn't properly scrubbed. They just kind of half-assed it. The ladies seemed nice enough, but the owner & his wife could definitely take a few lessons at charm school. I'm lucky I didn't pick up any type of infection given how unsanitary they were. This is my go-to nail salon! Love their quick but professional service. My nails always come out looking great and personally have not had a bad experience. I also really appreciate how clean they keep their tubs and products! I see them washing and sanitizing their tools which is a huge deal to me. Typically I will get a gel manicure and regular pedicure and they will do both at the same time and make sure they are dry and not messed up before I leave the salon. read more

I guess this used to be Tony's and I think people are writing reviews under Tony's. Anyway, it's Jeni's now. Either way...I liked it as Tony's, and I like it as Jeni's. You can usually walk right in and not have to wait too long for whatever you want. I have never found the girls to be snobby or rude like someone else said. I have never had a bad experience with service here. I never make an appointment with anyone in particular because they have all been good. Today when I went in it was really busy and I had to wait a little while, and they knocked five bucks off my nail job just for that. I didn't ask--they offered. That's how nice they are. My manicures (just manicure and polish of my natural nail) usually lasts a week, which is really good considering I used my hands A LOT. My pedicures last a month easily. I have been to a couple of other places in this area, but I always end up going back here. I won't bother looking around anymore because I'm always happy with Jeni's. I always go here because it's very convenient. The staff are all friendly and they do a great job. The color lasts a long time and always perfect. I used to get my nails done here all the time. I get acrylics & they would do an amazing job. Then after covid, I believe they got new workers & I have had 4 nails break. I got them done one weekend & loved them then that same week I had 2 break without doing anything out of the ordinary. So, I go back they're super nice about it, i get them fixed & then that next weekend 2 more broke off. A friend of mine got gel & the same thing was happening with her except they would chip. They don't even last a week before chipping or breaking. Keep in mind we aren't going to school or work & we stay at home majority of our time. I have never had this many nails break. Ridiculous. I understand they have to limit the amount of people in the salon due to covid, but they have 2 workers & rush through to get you done so they can move on to the next customer & fit as many people in as they can. read more

Customer service and technique is SO important to me when it comes to my nails. As a former nail tech, instructor and even Director of a Nail Technology School in NY in the early 90's...I am very particular. I'm in this area on business and someone suggested this salon and recommended I only let Jeni do my nails, since clearly, as the owner, she would do the best work & provide the best customer service. NOT. Her acrylic lay was great around my cuticles, so I had high hopes! But after hurting me with her drill and rudely being unable to get the shape of my requested "square without rounded edges" nails right (even giving me a completely crooked middle nail), I finally just offered to purchase a file from her so I could fix it myself at home. So tonight, I'll be in my hotel room trying to get acrylic from under my nail and reshaping the slightly rounded tops of them. I'll be here a few more weeks but I won't be returning to this shop for service. My service before this one was at Hollywood Nails in Pleasant Hill and she was fabulous. So I guess I'll just make the 40 minute drive back to Hollywood Nails. read more

I don't remember the ladies name, but she did a really great job with acrylics for me. I don't like that my old set was peeled off. I wish they had soaked them off. But after that was done she did a really wonderful job treating my natural nails and then putting my new set on. They are a great length, but my favorite part is how thin she was able to make them! I wish my natural nails were like this so that was an awesome bonus. I'll be going back when I need a fill. I haven't tried any other service yet. read more
