I used to go to this place every month, so I have given this place chance after chance. This last time, the place was empty and had an overall dirty look to it. You know, those kind of places that could use a good scrubbing? Yeah.... So, it was weird to get a pedicure right off the bat. The man who did my pedicure rushed through it and did a half-ass job. I went in early Saturday morning. I was the only one there. They greeted me and I browsed the nail polish. Most of the bottles, looked like the polish was old, thick and gooey. I chose one that looked like it would glide on smooth. This is the only reason I won't return. They sat me right away. And they did what they do. I sat there for 10 min after they were done. They put my flip flops on my feet. Then I went to my friend's house, that was about 10 min from the nail salon, with my flip flops on.....I know you're wondering where I'm going with all this. Just hang on. So, we decided to go to water street. They were having an event. I was there at least 10 min before we decided to go. And at least another 5 min before I decide to put on my tennis shoes, because we will be walking water street. Well at the end of the day, when I took my shoes off, my polish was ruined.....Really, so it was well over 30 min, and my polish is smugged. Oh, that's the other reason, I won't go back. Unfortunately, I think I have gone to this place for the last time. I had a gel mani and pedi. They ended up cutting my finger. Whatever stuff they put on it made it sting more. I had to put a band aid on it when I got home. I also brought in my daughters and asked for them to soak their feet, to give them the experience, but they didn't do that. Things seemed kinda rushed. Mid-pedicure, I started hearing a baby cry from a back room. So the lady doing my toes stopped after painting my toes and went to take care of the crying baby. Then the lady doing my fingers had to finish up my feet. I have gone to this place for a long time, and usually I have had a good experience. Over the years, the staff has changed. We had a girls day planned and called ahead for appointments, there would be 3 adults and 2 little girls. We went for the little girl chairs. They knew ahead of time we were coming and what services we needed. We got there and only two people were working for the five of us. The little girls had to wait the longest, I chose not to get any services. My sister and mother in laws services were done SO fast there was zero massage on her pedicure and it was so rushed. The options for pedicures are so sad... $25 for just a polish change in the water and the chair. $35 for light massage and callus remover which they forgot on my sister in law until she made them add it. You have to pay $55 for a normal massage and pedicure at least. Again, all this while the little girls waited. The place had bags of stuff everywhere, the little girl chairs were used as storage because stuff was in it and they didn't look clean which may have not been a great mom move for me. They didn't try to accommodate the girls, turn on music for them or even the TVs... I had to use my phone for them to even be entertained. They open at 930, we got there at 10 and left around 11... the whole time zero people came in. That's a sign in itself. I don't know how everyone else had a good experience here. I used to love this location with the old owner, now I will never go back and will make sure no one I know does either. What a terrible little experience for my girls. read more

I've been going to this nail salon a few years now and I'm pleased with their work! I only get pedicures so I can not speak as to what they do with hands. However, the pedicure's are decent for the price. I always leave pleased and relaxed from the massage chairs. My only concern is the language barrier! There seems to be confusion or double booking because of it! I was mixed up with someone who made an appointment at the same time as me for a fill. I arrived first, and was asked if I were there for a fill! I replied no, I am here for two pedicures. I made an appointment for 12:30 PM! 10 minutes later the ladies with the fill come in for their 12:30PM appointment and one of the technicians said to me, so you didn't have an appointment? At the time I made the appointment I had a feeling there would be issues due to the language barrier. All was well in the end. However communication can be a bit challenging. read more

I'm usually very positive about my reviews with nail places because I go to serenity nails and it's always been great but this place just completely sucked. Serenity was booked so I took my mom there for the first time. I've gone to a few several ones like Nailand and it was amazing too. They messed up my mom's nails soooo bad like it literally looks like someone took a pink shit on it with glitters (she got a full set). It was literally crooked and ugly and the color was all over her nails (it looked like they didn't even try to clean it up). And the pedicure the lady gave me left cuts on my toes and it still hasn't healed. I also get my nails done every two weeks or so (just gel) and this is the first time it lasted only for a few days. 03.23.2013: I used to live in Vegas and this was always my place where I would go. So fast forward about 4 years and guess what? They did not disappoint. This was my wedding day and time had slipped away from me so I called and they told me to come in. I was so happy that this was still "my place." One person remembered me from years back and there seemed to be some of the same people which I didn't expect. The person who did my nails did my nails and did it perfectly. The gentleman who did my feet was great and 1 1/2 weeks later, my french mani is still holding strong. The price for regular mani pedi is only $35 and with french mani/pedi $45. Not a bad price at all. BTW, they have the cool chairs that massage your back and on this day, I needed it! Goodness, wedding day and stress, this helped. I called early this morning to made appointment for my grands, my daughter and myself to get our nails done. Due to traffic we were about 10 minutes late for our 5:30 appts. My daughter and I both needed fills and pedicures, the girls just pedi/manis. I even called to tell them about the traffic. Upon arriving we were informed that neither of the girls working could do a fill. The nail tech had left early because she" had something to do". We decided to let the girls get their nails done because it is difficult to find salons with the small spa chairs. During the whole time they were getting their nails neither one of the girls spoke the the children. Literally not more than 1-2 words. This was the most uncomfortable experience I have had trying to find a salon for the four of us. I felt like we interrupted their day and they could not wait for us to leave. OMG! Why is it so freaking hard to get a good gel manicure out here?!! There are too many nail shops here, so why are people messing it up?!! This is my second nail shop I've attempted to get a good gel manicure and I am utterly disappointed but this one just takes the cake! It's bad enough I don't like living out here and having to find a new nail spot is like trying to win the lottery out here! I only came here because my grandma recommended it but boy was this an EPIC FAIL! My mom and I made an appointment for one gel manicure and one regular manicure. When we walked in we weren't really greeted nor was it that busy to not have been greeted. A man just said "How can I help you", but never came up to the counter to greet us. A female employee came up to us and asked what we wanted, she brought me some colors but she was hovering over me while I tried to pick a color which was odd because normally they let me look at the colors on my own instead of watching over me. Maybe I picked the wrong colors because my nail tech took quite a while to find them, yes I am very indecisive but it shouldn't take that long to find a color, she said 2 of them they didn't even have so why even have them on display if you don't carry them?! So I know everyone does things differently when it comes to removing and applying gel but why do they make it so freaking complicated?! She started sanding them off and then made me squeeze both of my hands into a small bowl of acetone. The acetone is very cold and dried my hands out :/ My OG nail tech usually wraps them in foils for a bit and then tries to sand them off and usually that takes them off. This girl used a scraper which can be a bit uncomfortable especially when it comes to the sides of my nails, and then kept telling me to put my hands back in the bowl. I've noticed out here the techs do not properly know how to remove them, it takes ridiculously long out here to remove gels, I spent an hour and a half in here which is ridiculous for a gel manicure. Finally she gets them off but when it comes to properly cutting my cuticles no one knows how to do it out here! I know I have a lot of excess skin because I deal with a lot of paper and water so when she barely touched over them I knew that was a red flag. I politely asked her if she could go back and re do them and she said "You don't have any cuticles"? BS, when I get my nails done back in the OC my nail tech gets to the nitty gritty and removes all of the cuticles! I really should have just gotten up and left at that point, it was too many red flags, I was hopeful it would have gotten better but it didn't. When it came time to putting the actual gel polish on my tech seemed very unknowledgeable on the application, the polish was just slapped on and it was bad she had to break out the brush with acetone to attempt to clean up the sides and edges when in reality she was just removing the gel polish. You can see in my pictures the sides of my nails aren't completely covered in polish because she used the brush. She would ask me how I liked them and when I would tell her she would just get the brush out or add more coating to my nails. She tries to blame it on me because I asked for extra glitter on my nails and that's why they are so lumpy and bumpy, um EXCUSE ME?! I've been getting extra glitter on my nails for years and they never came out this AWFUL!! At the end of the day it comes back to the actual gel application and if it's not done properly this is how your nails will come out... looking a hot mess!! I told her repeatedly I wasn't happy and she says "What do you want me to do, file it down?" Um excuse me, after the fact?! You shouldn't have even took my money for a horrible job like this! Best believe I did not leave a tip, I was so angry and upset I left crying! No woman should ever leave the nail shop in such distress and disappointment! If you want to get ripped off and left with a sloppy nail job then come here. If anyone is reading this review and knows a legit nail shop that can do a GOOD gel manicure please let me know! I decided to give Nail Spa one more shot, mainly because the pedicure I got on my original visit was so long lasting. And also because it was a Sunday and the place I was going to try for a gel manicure was not open. I am definitely happy I gave them another shot. I didn't catch the name of the lady that did my nails this time but she seemed like she was in charge. I had her cut my nails down a bit, I think part of the problem with the last manicure I had was how long my nails were. She also used a glittery sheer pink on my nails which I love... They look natural from a distance but if you look closely they have a nice shimmer to them. The only downside to my visit is that the lady that did my nails was doing another gel manicure on someone at the same time, at the station next to mine. The lady had received a pedicure by another employee, which makes me think perhaps Nail Spa is only having specific employees do the gel manicures. I was there a little longer then I would have liked because of this, but almost a week later my nails are still absolutely perfect... Being there a little longer then expected is worth a better quality manicure in my opinion. I just wish I could get the same, high quality and long lasting manicure every time... read more

This place is surely my favorite nail salon in Vegas. The salon is not to big and not to small. It's homey and purple everything everywhere because it is the owner's(Cassie) favorite color. About two years ago my friend and I decided we wanted to get a pedicure, and my friend was adamant on telling me she wanted to go to a place that had a foot spa type pedicure, not just a clean and polish. Sooooooo, obviously I had the tough job of finding a good place that didn't require to give a limb to pay for it, and we wanted it to be close-by for convenience. I found this place on yelp and was like why not? We went with our boyfriends and we all got pedicures and loved it. Her boyfriend has issues with an ingrown and the person working on him understood and didn't hurt him and was very thorough even with all of us staring to make sure he didn't get hurt. For months I would alternate between this salon and trying other places with a bit cheaper prices but realized I was only truly satisfied when I went to this salon. Kind of like finding your true love, but leaving them for other people.. How horrible of me! My boyfriend would always mention it to me as well, "You do realize you're always complaining unless we go here right?" So two years later in this relationship and I'm committed and happy! I go for my manicures, pedicures and even eyelash extensions. The prices reflect the quality they give!! Got called a cry baby by the nail tech and manager said she didn't want me complaining/bother her or wasting her time! I refused to go off inside the salon instead I called afterwards and tried to speak with a manager and she was being a fool talking in different languages and putting other people on the phone. She hung up on me several times and she said she would fix my oval/squared almond nails. She was a 9 yr tech professional who can fix anything and I told her she would give me a new set at no extra charge and she said NO it would take her too long to do so I went home took them off myself and got a new set with TYSON the next day! Detailed review under! First off these people don't even have their Licenses or permits displayed for any customer to see! They judge you just by looking at you and what kind of cash they THINK you are carrying in your pocket! Don't go around speaking about people in your " SECRET LANGUAGE " when they understand every word you are saying. I came in and decided to just get the basic full set reg Polish with a clear gel coat. They told me yes 30$ so I waited thinking I was going to get Tyson ( my go to nail tech ) and instead I got some other man. He was harsh and did things fast just to get me out his chair. Halfway through my set he asked how do you want them I said SQUARED which didn't happen. I was super beyond upset by the time he asked me to wash my hands I looked at my nails and said nu-uhh this is not what I want and he said hurry I need to color nail. So I then asked can you do clear gel coat on top of my reg Polish which by the way in California I WOULD ALWAYS do this and never had a problem and always paid extra for it! He took out the machine and was going to do it when his manager started telling him I need to pay more $$$ if I want and that I need to get there gel colors not a reg Polish + clear gel Then his manager went on explaining that he never said he could when I clearly asked 5 x before sitting down. I don't mind paying extra for the gel colors they have but don't agree to what I'm saying if you can't understand what I'm asking for. This man proceeds to tell me " I do clear gel, it cracks and you cry like baby, me no want no complains! " I'm on the phone with my best friend and she was shocked just as I was when this man starts telling me this in front off the whole salon! So I stay quiet let him have his shine for the moment he hurries me up because he's busy and paints my nails crappy Then grabs my stuff and tells me sit there dry 10 min and takes my money and leaves. I refused to sit there after that horrible service and left embarrassed! I called as soon as I got home and the manager ignored me hung up on me insulted me and even screamed at me! I am a grown woman and let me tell you that I will not have anther woman scream at me in any kind of way. I repeatedly explained to her that if it wasn't for her customers she wouldn't even have or be a manager at any salon so why treat them like crap! She said I fix for you and I said no I want a brand new set she insisted that she didn't have time and hung up on me. I called her again and told her this better be the last time you hang up on me because then we are really going to have problems you shouldn't treat people like this after the horrible experience you just gave them. I took off my nails at home went in the next and when I was pulling up there was the nail tech smoking his nasty cigarettes outside. He even worked up the nerve to ask me why was I back, if I didn't like his work (all sarcastic) and I answered no sir your nail work is the most horrendous thing I've had in my life. I was late for my appointment but stuck around and hour and half to wait for Tyson! Sure enough we had some good laughs at this mans work even showed a few people at the salon the pictures of his work including his manager WHO DID NOT HAVE ONE WORD TO SAY ABOUT HIS WORK JUST FAKED SMILED AND STARED THIS GUY DOWN. Horrible experience don't come here. The Asian lady nail technician with short brown straight hair with highlights was very rude. Was arguing with me about making my nail cricked in front of plenty of other quite customers. Told me my nails looked like shit basically before I got there and "she didn't even know what to say about them" was what she stated. How awful. Kept rolling her eyes throughout the entire session. Then she made my nails incomplete after rushing through the appointment so she could do someone else. Not to mention but the lady was in the middle of finishing my nails gets up to go take care of another client who needed their eyebrows waxed and didn't acknowledge me and care even to let me know.
