Passing through Corning and having stayed overnight just down the road, decided to give this place a visit (based on other reviews). While a bit skeptical of a restaurant w/this name, am certainly glad to have overcome that bias. Very basic diner-type layout which seemed immensely popular w/locals. On the recommendation of the waitress, had the French toast made w/bakery-fresh cinnamon swirl bread...very, very good. The egg could have gone a little deeper into the bread but, on the whole, very good. My partner in crime had a more basic eggs/home fries/toast order...also very good w/great potatoes. This place, name notwithstanding, is definitely a keeper. (BTW, the relatively nearby Glass Museum is way cool and worth the stop!) read more

Passing through Corning on a family road trip we stopped here for dinner. The menu is diverse enough so everyone found something they wanted. The portions are large enough so we could share when we (inevitably) liked the look of what was on other plates. Service was friendly and quick. When the bill came, three adults and two children had been very well fed for under $10 per person. It's a small and unassuming building that you could easily pass right by. Loved this place. We probably would never have checked it out if we hadn't run into an old friend at a reunion in Rochester. What a gem. It's just off the highway (they even have one of those "Food next exit" signs). The breakfast menu is large. We had pancakes and an omelet, both of which were superb. White traveling with my daughter from Massachusetts to Ohio a few weeks ago we found Jelly Beans on the Yelp App. What a wonderful eatery! The house was full of local patrons and when we had our breakfasts we learned why. The food was plentiful and delicious! We met one of the owners, the founder of this sweet place, and had a delightful conversation with him. Crossed the road to go here from our hotel on a whim. It was superb. Excellent wait staff, made us feel super welcome. Tasty and cheap food. Jelly Beans has something to offer everyone. The extensive menu takes a few minutes to navigate. The family owned atmosphere is a welcomed change, knowing you are supporting the local community. The food is made to order and delicious. They are great with special orders (they may add on a fee for extra items). The portions are large, usually enough for two meals. The omelettes are definitely make for 2! When they have the pot roast special, try it! They offer many side dishes to suit everyone's taste. The wait staff is very helpful and pay attention to keep beverages filled, remove dishes, supply extra napkins and such. It's a little diner in Western New York, so I am a little worried about talking it up to the point people have unrealistic expectations, but the food is so good and the service is friendly just like the other reviews say. I got the chicken leek linguine and the sauce was delicious. It tasted like steamed mussels sauce--tomato chunks and wine. The garlic bread was made with a hot dog bun. So it's not gourmet. My wife and I stopped in for dinner 11/04 based on the recommendation of the Hampton Inn. I ordered the Monte Carlo with onion rings and my wife had a cheeseburger. I was blown away by the size of the portion and did my level best to finish it. That sandwich was amazingly delicious. We had a side of cole slaw that was crunchy and great. The server (Ii believe it was Cheryl) was courteous, our food was served hot, and the prices were fair. When you leave, you get a little bag of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Pretty cool. Too bad they are not closer to 245 miles from our home or we would return on a semi-regular basis. read more

I have had all the breakfast foods omelets are huge and prices are very reasonable to. the food is pretty good nothing amazing but very good prices for what you get. Jelly Beans is a decent little place with large menu, reasonable prices, good food, generous portions, and most of the staff is quite friendly. The downside is the acoustics leave a lot to be desired. It's hard to hold a conversation at the table when they are busy. read more

Arrived in town hungry and went to Jelly Bean for dinner. My husband had a BLT woth onion rongs which was very good. The onions were hot and delicious. I had the broccoli alfredo which was the best ever. It came with a salad and garlic bread. Also a single serve wine for $3.50. The whole meal was delicious and a real bargain. read more

Finally found this fast food alternative half way through our regular long drive. Food is diner, slightly better than straight Sysco-diner-in-a-box. Atmosphere is great, service good, colorful and both family friendly and adult-beverage serving. Large clean bathroom with baby unit in the mens. We will be visiting regularly as we drive past on 15. Edit: On our most recent visit, it was clear that they have 1-2 interesting specials each night. We didn't partake as we happened to be in the mood for basics, but that is an option. read more

Went for the fried haddock, it was a huge piece of fish with thick greasy batter. Now that is NOT my thing so I removed most of it. Sweet potato fries (over fried) for my taste, I don't care for dark fries, and then the mixed vegetables consisted of frozen broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and ONE small slice of yellow squash possibly a trick to make you think that they are ALL fresh., but overcooked nontheless.
