What. An. Experience. Omg, I can't believe that it took me so long to get here! I am hugeeee fan and supporter of consistent self-care and for me, pampering has everything to do with that. So for my birthday recently, I opted to start my day with some major R&R at Jeju. Although I live on the Southside of ATL, I didn't hesitate to make the 30 min drive to Duluth for this experience and it was totally worth it. I arrived at Jeju around 10:30 am on a Thursday to a parking lot already full of cars. I was a little concerned that it would be packed inside, but I was pleasantly surprised and incorrect. Some reviews noted that it was loud and crowded, so I'm guessing that weekday mornings are a sweet spot that I'll be sticking with. Checking in was a breeze, as the young lady at the front desk was so helpful in explaining the process before taking my ID for security purposes before handing over a uniform and keychain bracelet. The uniform absolutely made me feel like an extra in OITNB and the keychain was way too big for my little wrists, but who cares?! Lol. Once I got all my stuff, she took me on a quick tour all around the facilities which was so needed because this is a big place. After my tour, I was left to venture out on my own. I tucked my shoes into the first set of cabinets and am happy I went on the tour, or else I would have been a little confused on where to put my bag as the shoe lockers were too small, of course. After leaving my shoes behind, I headed into the larger locker room to tuck away the rest of my items in the larger lockers. I'm not a particularly shy person so the locker/bath attire (or lack thereof) wasn't any issue for me and was actually super freeing. Everyone is required to take a shower before entering the baths and then you're able to enjoy the various baths that range from ice cold to hot af. I loved relaxing in the hot tub with my new girlfriends chatting about what brought us to Jeju and realizing that we were all Pisces and Aquarians lol. When reading the reviews for Jeju prior to visiting (thanks, Yelpers!), I read that the body scrub and shampoo was a must. So of course I made that a priority! I told the attendant which package I wanted (I got the scrub, shampoo and cucumber mask for $100) and she jotted my # down to be called when they were ready. And man, they called my name 10min later (Next time, I will do this treatment last as I couldn't/didn't want to shower again to go back into the baths and wish I would have spent wayyy more time soaking before my massage.) Let me say this - I have visited many spas and enjoyed dozens of body scrub and massage treatments... this was the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. EVER. When I was lead into the room with 7-9 other women who were all laid out and enjoying their treatments, it was overwhelming in numerous ways lol. I was led over to a plastic-covered massage bed and told to lay down by the smiling older woman who was to do my services. She made me comfy, gently wrapping my locs up in a towel and covering my eyes with another towel, so gentle!... Moments later, warm water was tossed on me from a bucket like I was a little pig! LOL I was SO surprised but... it felt good? Then, she started in. I don't even remember everything that happened, I may have fallen asleep, I may have been so relaxed or so shook up that I just drifted - who knows. But this little woman scrubbed the hell out of my skin in the best way omg. And then the shampoo! After that portion, she told me to go shower. Ya'll, she popped up next to the shower telling me that I was scrubbing too hard and taking too long LOLOL Can you imagine? We just met! But I listened, lol she was so kind, she just wanted me to hurry tf up. After I left the shower, I saw her grating fresh cucumber and figured it was for the rest of my treatment - epic. And omg, it was SO soothing. She placed the cucumber + some other mixture on my face and body and I just relaxed all over again. 15/10 - she was absolutely amazingggg. After that mind-blowing treatment, I thought I'd pop into the saunas for a bit. (Again, next time I will do my massage last) With a number of different saunas, there is an option for everyone. I tried them all lol. The Crystal Sauna was my favorite because it was the prettiest inside tbqh. I was famished after all of that heat and still had some time to kill, so I thought I'd go over to the food court because it just smelled delicious. I ended up ordering the tteokbokki, a dish I had actually been wanting to try for a while after seeing it in my fave K-Dramas lol. It was super quiet in the sauna and food court area which I really appreciated, so I took a seat and got comfy. After about 10-15min, my number was called and there was a simmering bowl of spicy rice cakes waiting for me at the counter. I brought along my handy iPad and got settled in for lunch which turned out to be super delicious. The broth was SO good, I need more of it. Can't wait to go back! read more

My fault for wanting to visit Jeju on a weekend because WOW...this place was busy! Regardless of that, my friends and I had a wonderful time. When checking in, you'll pay the $40 fee to enter the facility which includes the saunas, steam rooms, spa pools, baths, lounge area, and fitness center. Everything else comes at an extra charge. You will receive a wrist band that has a RFID chip and key attached, as well as a uniform (yes it looks like prison clothes, but it's not a fashion show here). DO NOT LOSE YOUR WRIST BAND! The wrist band (with the key attached) is for your two lockers and to "charge" other services on, as well as for ordering cafeteria food (using the RFID chip). The first locker is when you immediately walk into the (same-sex) locker rooms and it is specifically for your shoes ONLY. The second locker is for your clothes, phone, bag, toiletries (if you bring your own), etc. YES! There is nudity! The areas are separated by gender and there is a co-ed area where the cafeteria and co-ed saunas, massage rooms, nail salon, etc. are located. If you feel uncomfortable being naked in front of strangers, I don't recommend coming here. It was definitely an initial shock for me, but I quickly realized NOBODY cares what you look like. They're all here for the same thing you are there for - relaxation and peace of mind. I personally added one extra service ($40 extra) during my visit, which was the Hip Bath (aka yoni steam, aka vaginal steam). It's believed to relieve stress, fight depression, help with hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and more. It smelled AMAZING & made me feel so refreshed afterwards. It gets very hot! So expect sweat during the steaming process. The spa pools were wonderful. They have 3 types: cold, warm, and hot. Before I left, I soaked in the hot pool and did a quick dip in the cold pool (great for your circulatory system). Moving onto the co-ed area, my friend and I shared a heaping bowl of Kimchi-jjigae (soup) at the cafeteria. It was surprisingly delicious! Our guy friend who tagged along with us met us there and then we decided to try every co-ed sauna they had to offer. My personal favorite was the Gold & Silver sauna. The stone work is absolutely beautiful! There is also a co-ed pool, but we decided to skip it since my friends forgot their swimsuits. Afterwards, we headed back to the same-sex area, got naked again, and used the communal showers to wash our hair & bodies before putting our outside clothes back on to leave the facility. Overall, would I go back? Definitely! Though, I'd probably not visit on a weekend again due to the crowd. However, I was told it is less busy during the weekdays. I'd say this could be a great place for a solo self care day as they offer so many services like pedicures, manicures, body scrubs, massages, and even acupuncture. It can also be a great place to visit with your friends! If you do decide to add other services, expect to spend $100+. However, if you only go for the spa pools and saunas, you can easily walk out spending less than $50. I really enjoyed Jeju and would happily return in the future. read more

Whatever you do , don't go here past 6pm . It is an absolute gang bang show on the men's sauna side (if your into that then go enjoy yourself) but I called myself going at 9pm after a workout out and I saw the wildest things . I could not enjoy anything bc of all the men getting their rocks off in every corner . The floor became sticky if you know what I mean . Lol never again, I will stay in the hours of day light between 12pm-5pm . I'm not judging, but I guess I just didn't expect that at such a prolific rate . The amenities themselves are absolutely wonderful ; I do wish that they would fix the tiling in the shower section, but other than that they need someone routinely walking around checking to make sure people are on their best behavior because ...WOAH lol read more

Came to visit again 2 weeks ago... I don't know what the heck I did but I must have sprained my neck. None the less, I needed to hit the steam room and the sauna and relieve some stress. As I mentioned previously it wouldn't hurt if somebody could tell the front staff to stop making this place seem like the DMV or a Jail. I thought we were entering a place of relaxation. Front desk staff yelling, "Next" immediately asking for your size uniform makes it seem kind of like we are checking into jail...Remember, this is a spa not a detention center! This place has really changed. They really need to up their game. The mats for sleeping are torn, cracked and flat. The pillows are smaller and the size of a hotdog. That larger ones they used to offer are cracked, and in a sad state. They no longer let you bring a yoga mat to sleep on but their current mats are in an embarrassing state. They let employees bring their own mat and pillow. I guess they get perks ? Employees come around fussing at you , I assume their job sucks so I don't care if they smile. I have respect for the service folks. Just didn't expect one to try and push me from my sleeping spot simply because I got there first and I assume took the place where she posts up. They clearly just don't want us staying the night anymore . They must make enough money off the folks that come for a few hours. I used to love to come in, spend the evening there and wake up and go to work the next day. The wet areas are good (steam room, jacuzzi) as are the dry heat rooms. The customer service was sub par. For that reason, I'd second guess going back. I've been to spas where the people are definitely friendlier. It was my first time in this spa so I didn't know how things worked. An employee with two braids saw me looking confused and offered to show me around. She was perturbed that the other employees were just standing around talking. I was told there was a 45 minute wait for the body shampoo. Mind you I called before going over to see if there was a wait and they said there was not. It took me about 10 minutes to get there from where I was. The front desk people were not nice to the other people who were trying to come in without IDs. They charge $100 if you don't have your ID but they do say this on their website. I do like the fact that the website tells you what to expect. When you first walk in there's these lockers where you have to put your shoes. And then you go into the large locker room area and change clothes. They don't tell you what to do while you wait or where to go. I ended up going to the upstairs nail shop. There was no wait for that and it was an amazing service. however, it was much more expensive than other services I've had in the past. The ladies were very attentive, but they were also very interested in upsell to ensure they made the most money. You do have to pay for the nail shop separately because it is a separate business. You cannot charge it to your key. So I get back from the nail shop and I know it's been more than 45 minutes. I asked the girls where I scheduled the body shampoo if I was still in line or if my number being called. I was also not familiar with this process. They have a intercom that they call your number over when they're ready for you to do various things. They act like I was getting on their nerves. They said to just go shower and just sit down and wait a few minutes. Honestly, at this point, I was just ready to leave, but I paid $40 just to access the spa and I didn't want to leave without the service that I really can't afford. I did as I was told and the wait ended up about 30 minutes or at least it felt like 30 minutes or more. So I went and asked them again if they were sure I was on the list for about a body shampoo. Come to find out I was probably not on the list but the girl said something about she put my number up there with a C next to it. I don't know what that meant but I still ended up having to wait another 15 or 20 minutes or so, even after that exchange with her. During this time, I did go in and experience the wet and dry steam rooms. The pools, I was not so comfortable getting into because of course there are multiple naked women getting in there at once and you just never know what people have. I didn't smell any chlorine or anything, so I'm not sure how it's being sanitized. I did observe a lady come in and scrub the showers and sanitize them. They were very busy so there were a limited number of showers available to use. It was not a calm place. There was noise everywhere so if you wanted to relax, this isn't really good place to do that. read more

This is a nice spa. Had the body scrub. Simply amazing. I did a day with my girlfriends and we enjoyed the saunas and a body scrub . If you expect some gentle masseuse to gently handle you. Be prepared for rough handling. They scrub, scrub and scrub some more. Then they oil you down so your skin feels brand new when you leave. Buy the scrub cloths that they sell, you can keep that skin routine going. The saunas are nice too. It's a day experience so go prepared to spend the day. We plan to make this an annual experience. The staff is not super friendly, but not rude either, tolerable. When you are in the bath area, you do get shuffled around when you have services so be aware of that, but the overall experience was good. read more

Terrible experience. My daughter and I drove three hours (from South Carolina) specifically for this "spa experience". I thought it would be a nice opportunity for my daughter to relax before resuming college courses after her winter break. Unfortunately, it was a complete waste of time. The staff in the women's area were extremely rude and condescending. They walked around staring at the customers and talked to them like they were prisoners in a concentration camp. This was not an environment for rest and relaxation. We never made it past the women's sauna area. While sitting in one of the baths I noticed what looked like debris in the water. I pointed it out to one of the staff members. She didn't know what it was and asked two more people (who also did not know what it was). When the staff member from the women's locker room area looked at it, she identified it as a discoloration within the jade stone. Then she asked me, "What do you want us to do...take the stone apart to get it out? Come on!" She continued berating me for not knowing what the material of their sauna is made of. I told her that the other employees looked at it and didn't know what it was either. They thought it was debris also. By the time she was finished talking to me like I was stupid, other customers were looking at me and laughing. I advised her that I was leaving and that I wanted a refund. When I went to the counter to get my refund, another patron was asking for a refund for an experience she and her friend had. This is our second time coming to the establishment. We came approximately one year ago, and it was great. It seems like the business is going downhill. I also noticed the front desk and entry appears dilapidated. I'm glad we had an opportunity to have a good experience before their decline. We will never return. I do not recommend this place. read more

To be quite frank, the workers are so unhappy that they don't reinforce the quiet rule. Going to Jeju, especially with increase of prices, its not relaxing. Unless its the morning during a work day (which I can never do). The common area is overcrowded, the clients just talk like its a restaurant, loud, noisy. Like how can customers go in thinking they can be talking like that? And also why isn't the facility members making a POINT to tell everyone to be quiet. I always tell people and they just dont get it. I'm stressed going there. Coming from west coast, Los Angeles have these places that have entrance fees as low as $15 but more quality service and establishment. Even the food is phenomenal ..Unimpressed by Jeju. This was my first experience at Jeju. Upon arrival you have to make sure you have an ID and form of payment. It was $30 for the Saunas, Hot tub & cold tub. You can add "add-on" features like hip baths, scrubs, waxing for additional pricing. All additional services ends at midnight. They will give you a locker room key & uniform to wear when you go inside the cafe (hot floor) area. They require you to take off your shoes & put it in the locker before you go fully inside. You will have to be completely nude when you go inside the sauna/ hot tub area. You must shower completely before you go inside the tubs & sauna. They have toiletries there but it is best to bring your own. Especially if you like things a particular way. I did not eat the food because I went late but they serve food until 2am on weekdays and 3am on weekends. The saunas that are in the cafe area were smelly. Especially the Crystal hut. I wanted to really enjoy but the musty smell was unbearable. Also it had people old water bottles inside so it showed me that no one came to clean up or sanitize the place. The hot floor, the sauna and cold tub was the highlight of my night. I wish I could of took advantage of the add on's but I might come back to try out the whole experience again. Dirty, outdated, the entire facility smells like food so you don't feel or smell clean. Bathrooms and lockers are terrible -- the entire facility needs a re-haul. I've been to cheaper places that were stellar with workers constantly cleaning. If I'm going to be barefoot I shouldn't be feeling crumbs where I step. read more

So updating my review for new management. So I have been taking my kids for years to jeju. They love it and beg to go almost weekly. I have one son which is where my issues come from. He is 10 and would normally go to the male area get a locker, shower and hang out with us mainly in the commons. Due to new rules he is not allowed back there since he is under 18. So he has to change upstairs and no access to the male area. I know this isn't the norm for most saunas so wanted to note it in case a single parent. read more

My goodness, I was so happy to find the spa near my friends' place in Atlanta where I stayed for a week. It's not nearly as charming (nor as large) as my beloved king spa in Palisades Park, New Jersey, but it gets the job done. The saunas were clean and well kept, and I thoroughly enjoyed my body scrub and wet massage, I will definitely be back. The bulgogi at the restaurant was outstanding. I was really impressed with it. But I was in the mood for something sweet like a cookie or a brownie or something but they didn't have anything except ice cream. They should work on that. I'm unlikely to spend all day somewhere if there are not enough food/snack options. I received a great pedicure and manicure at the adjacent nail salon. But it's inconvenient to have to go back to my locker to get my wallet, and not being able to pay for those services with the bracelet that the spa gives you. read more

This was our first time in a Korean style spa. It's a unique experience! Overall, I give Jeju 5 stars because the experience was really good for a first timer! I recommend it to those who are like me and want to fill their lives with experiences, NOT things. Caution: nudity in the locker rooms, but ONLY in the locker rooms! Not in common spaces. How it works: The facility is open 24/7 and your entrance fee affords you 24 hours of enjoyment in the facility. You check in at the front desk with your ID, pay the entrance fee, and get a numbered wrist band with a key attached. The wrist band holds your tab for any additional services you receive. The entrance fee grants you access to all saunas/steam/cold rooms, the hot and cold tubs, swimming pool, and pillows and blankets because YES people stay the full 24 hours at the facility and you're welcomed and encouraged to grab a spot where you can find it and sleep. You can bring your reading or study materials, neck pillows, change of clothes, swim suit, etc. Once you pay, you are sent into either the Men's or the Women's locker room. Locker rooms are the only space where nudity is permitted! Within the locker room is the bath house. Here you'll find the hot tubs, a women-only or men-only sauna and steam room, and the body scrub area (worth the additionally fee, but not for the shy ). You MUST be nude here and you MUST shower before they will let you get into any water! Once you are done in the women-only or men-only locker dooms, you must put the clothing the spa lends you (or your own if you brought some) to enter the co-ed common areas. In the common areas are all of the different hot or cold rooms, like the Jewel Sauna and the Gold & Silver Sauna. You can pay to get a Swedish massage, acupuncture, deep tissue massage, or foot reflexology. They even have a restaurant so there's no need to leave. And THATS why people stay for 24 hours! I almost forgot to mention that the floors are heated! Shoes are not permitted. Tips: -Drink LOTS of water!! You will sweat it all out and become dehydrated if you don't replenish. -I'm type 1 diabetic and my blood sugar shot yo through the roof because I didn't drink enough water. My blood ended up very sugar concentrated so I left extremely thirsty. -Diabetes tip: Don't wear your insulin pump. Your insulin can't handle the heat. While visiting Atlanta, my wife and I stopped by Jeju on a Monday morning at about 11:00 AM and stayed until 5:00 PM. We have visited other Korean spas in Virginia, California and Nevada, so we are familiar with the concept. My wife had also visited Jeju a few months ago with her friends. The men's locker room was clean and the attendant was visible and present. Jeju has the customary shoe locker and then the standard locker for clothes and other belongings. The locker room also has a sitting area with several recliners and a quiet/sleeping area which is actually another small room. The men's wet area includes several regular showers, separated by a divider, several sit down showers, a steam sauna with 9 stools, a dry sauna, two small hot pools, one with jets (the hottest one), a cold pool and a stone base with infrared lights overhead. I didn't get a body scrub, but I saw the tables behind black curtain. One thing that surprised me was that bar soap was provided instead of shower gel which is what is usually offered. Bar soap doesn't seem like it is sanitary enough for a public shower. The food at Jeju was excellent, but is pricy. We had beef bulgogi and Korean short ribs (Galbi). Things were going well until one of the restaurant workers blew her nose and didn't wash her hands before going back to work. The poultice rooms were nice and we entered several of them including salt, charcoal, etc. There is also a coed pool. I didn't notice that anyone was using it during our time at the spa. It didn't seem to have any jets and the water was stagnant. There is not much seating in the coed area other than in the restaurant area, but the floor is heated so it actually feels good to lay on. Overall the coed area is small but it contains everything that you'd expect. Jeju was a nice experience and offered what I expected of a Korean spa. The price was $40, which was also good. One thing that bothered us was that they keep your identification at the front desk during your visit. No one could explain why and it didn't make sense since they already have your credit card number for food, treatments, etc. It seems like an unnecessary risk that Jeju is accepting especially if it loses your ID or gives it to the wrong person. read more

I keep making this a part of my vacations. Having lived several years in Korea, that is my way of comparing. For the US, this is a rare venue. If this were outside the country, some of the saunas would be hotter but I understand the liability. The food is authentic and well prepared. There is plenty of staff to keep the place clean and well stocked with towels. This is a destination for me and I stay for the full 24 hours when I visit. Keep in mind that all of this is provided for well less than you would spend for a hotel. I leave fully unwound and relaxed. Yes, I do know of one place that is even better but it is a couple of thousand miles to the West and has shorter hours. read more

Oh WOW- I'm so glad that Georgia gets down with the Korean scrubs! Also they are open 24 hrs - whaaaat?!? It's been so long since I've been exfoliated and pampered so this was the main activity on our list that we were excited about when we arrived from our long and tiring trip. Who knew in the city of Duluth there would be an asian hood?! I almost felt like I was back in Cali when we passed by pho, kbbq, nail salons, etc. Jeju spa was a full on experience. The building is pretty large- it houses the spa, nail salon, a gym, a community area with several sauna rooms (salt, charcoal, clay, jewels), a Korean eatery open till 2am. There is a flat $30 admission to enter the spa, you are given spa clothes to change into, and given a wrist band to add a la carte services as desired. Services include the full body shampoo (or scrub), massages, face masks, food, etc. There was a special that includes a 30 min scrub, 60 min massage, and collagen 24k gold wrap for $120 (normally $150)- all 4 of us took advantage of this. We took a tour from the manager Juana- she showed us the changing area, hot and cold spa/steam room/sauna/massage room area, which you have to be naked for. If you feel weird about this just remember that everyone else is naked with you and it gets more comfortable. Also each spa area is separated by gender. My girls and I enjoyed the spa amenities and alternated between the hot, warm cold spas, steam and sauna rooms. Don't forget to continuously hydrate. We then wrote our names on the white board to indicate we were ready for our treatment. The Korean ladies are super strong and amazing at sloughing off the dead skin. The massage was a little hard and ticklish for me but I loved the collagen face mask and the scrub, which left me feeling so smooth, polished, and relaxed afterwards. I highly recommend Sue! Knocking off a star because there were some really loud girls in the next door spa while we were getting scrubs and it was distracting. I feel like the management could have a better handle on this. I read the yelp reviews and knew what to expect Sure it's a bit dingy and you have to get used to nudity but for me the scrub was a new experience and was done really well. I have paid $250for a bougie spa experience and still have never been exfoliated like that. The coed saunas looked a bit run down and we're filled with chatty people. The foot reflexology was another gem. Folks can be rough with the massages and exfoliation. Also floors appear slippery so extra caution for the fragile and elderly. LITERALLY the best spa in Atlanta! Tis the season for self care so treat your self! I have been three times and I do the hip bath (yoni steam) and the special body scrub. IT IS DIVINE! I feel so soft afterwards, and incredibly relaxed, the scrub, massage, facemask, and even hair wash is absolutely to die for. You can come here and even take a nap or stay the night in one of the many saunas, there are seven I believe. Some are warm and one is cold, and most are a nice temperature you can stay in. After watching Always Be My Maybe, I've been wanting to get a Korean body scrub/shampoo. They have them in the Boston area, but nothing like what you get at Jeju. We don't have a "legit" Korean or any kind of Asian bathhouse up here, but I heard about Jeju while looking for one. My sister and I were going to Atlanta anyway, so we decided to try this place out. We were very nervous but also excited. If I lived in Atlanta, I would buy a yearly membership and basically live at this spa. When we got there, they gave us a tour and explained all the areas and associated rules. The food was amazing! All the coed saunas and cold room were amazing! The nakey area with all the different baths and more saunas and showers were amazing! The body shampoo/scrub is the best beauty treatment I've ever received! My skin feels like it did 17 years ago when people used to weirdly compliment my soft arms all the time. Was it a little off putting to be naked with a bunch of strangers at first? Yes, but within a couple minutes it was like I had done this all the time. Everyone was so chill about it that it made it easy to also be chill. I suddenly found myself not feeling self conscious at all and actually think this has made me feel less modest in my regular life as well. It's like my brain rewired and is more relaxed, so please don't let that scare you away! My sister is one of the most self conscious people I know and she was able to relax and feel like it was normal very quickly. We all have bodies and body parts and it's natural so just push past the fear! It is much larger than the pictures make it look and we spent a few hours there, but could have spent the whole day. Time to get naked!!! No, seriously. I'm jumping straight to the point so you'll have a quicker adjustment time than I did, lol. I arrived at Jeju with absolutely no expectations. I heard mentionings of the body scrub being amazing so I just wanted to get that done. Upon arrival, you must give the front desk your drivers license (they hold it until you exit) and pay a $35 admission fee. The admission fee gives you 24 hours of access to the pool, sauna, showers, steam room, etc. They then hand you this rubber bracelet which has a locker number on it and a key. Ladies go to the left, men to the right. As soon as you enter on your respective side, there are lockers for you to place your shoes into. After putting up your shoes, there are larger lockers for you to put your clothes and belongings into. And now, you get naked. And I mean entirely naked, full birthday suit! And you immediately must take a shower before you can enter anything. PAY THE $50 FOR THE BODY SCRUB. It is terrifying yet amazing. I won't go into detail but just know they scrub every possible inch of your body. No crevice left untouched. I was certain that I'd have no skin left by the time it was over. Highly recommend! Afterwards you can put on the orange top and shorts they give you to enter the co-Ed part which is full of various saunas and a food court. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was good. UPDATE Aug 2022: Jeju has gone down hill for sure! I used to visit this place frequently before COVID was ever thought about(just throwing that out there because this new experience is a mess).... CUSTOMER SERVICE: There was only like (3-4) ppl working there with a good attitude. EVERYONE ELSE wasn't welcoming. SERVICES: My foot massage SUCKED! He rushed & didn't even complete the whole hour. Vag steam (bath house area) was overwhelming and super loud! The TV didn't work so while getting my steam done I had to listen to locker room conversations, smh. Nail salon, SUCK! All of the services was rushed asf! Atmosphere: NOT relaxing or calming at all :( everything and everyone is super loud. I don't recall hearing any relaxing music and the lights weren't even dim for a call soft setting. Kids running around and loud inside. FOOD: was really good 3.5 stars OVERALL: It's just not a calming/relaxing environment anymore. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND visiting this place. I love visiting JeJu; been coming here for at least 8 years. I've been to several jimjilbangs/bath houses, including one in Seoul, South Korea. This is the closest to the authentic jimjilbang that I've found in the U.S. so far. I want to share a few tips for not only newbies, but all people who visit. *the wet areas are nude areas; you're not to bring mobile devices in this area. It's posted on the door, but some people seem to have missed it. *you must shower before using the facilities(jacuzzi, baths) in the wet area; that's the rule. *this is a place of relaxation; you shouldn't be playing your music aloud, use headphones. If your child uses a device, the same goes, headphones. *if your children aren't well-behaved, don't bring them. This isn't a playground. Just as I've seen many well-behaved children at JeJu, I've witnessed others run amok. *keep chats at a low volume and to a minimum within the individual saunas; save them for out in the common area. *there are many people coming in and out; so each and every person can not be personally attended to entering the locker rooms, if you're new, simply ask staff how things work and they will guide you. Please be mindful that you are sharing this space with others. read more

Ever since I moved here, people have raved about this place. I decided to finally try it with my mom and sister and LOL wow. I am left to believe that everyone who thinks this is a really nice spa, has never been to an actual nice spa before. We arrived and were first led to the hallway with lockers to put our shoes because its a barefoot facility. Half the lockers would not lock, and upon entering the hallway there was an unpleasant smell that I could not describe. In the locker room, the smell only went away partially. I still cannot figure out if this was the smell of feet, BO, or some kind of weird-smelling herb used for air freshener, but it lingered. Then you're given a spa outfit that literally looks like an orange prison uniform and has faded from having been washed hundreds of times over the years. The 'wet room' has a cold pool, warm pool, hot tub, and showers. This is also where the body scrubs are done. This IS the area where NO CLOTHING WHATSOEVER is allowed except a towel, and the locker room is CLOTHING OPTIONAL so please be advised if you have never experienced this. There is a section of the room where you can just lie on the floor under some type of lighting, and it smelled like murky buttcheeks over there because this is essentially an area where people are getting out of the water and lying their bare bodies on the flooring. Can't relax with smells like this. The body scrub area is out in the open. About 6-8 tables of bodies being scrubbed, there is no privacy between you and whoever is giving you the service. It reminded me of a sweatshop type atmosphere. My body scrub was awful because the exfoliating glove felt like a brillo pad. It was extremely scratchy, sharp and painful. I kept telling the woman to please scrub 'softer' but she did not understand until I used the word 'gentle', and by then the scrub was pretty much over. I also got a reflexology foot massage, where half of the time was spent on the bottom half of my legs. I hated this, and the oil used made me itch instantly, so the rubbing and massaging irritated my skin further. I asked the man to please remove the oil because it was itchy and giving me a bad reaction. It took 5 minutes to get him to understand what I was saying, and finally the massage person next to him caught on and explained in their language. The common area has heated floors which is nice since we do not have on shoes. I did not try the saunas, nail shop or the cafeteria - so I am leaving 2 stars instead of one, in fairness that I did not try everything on my visit. Nothing wrong with the prices, nothing wrong with the concept. It's a large place that can service many people at once, and there are alot of great things offered. However. My experience sucked and I felt as though the money was wasted. This spa may have been great in its prime or when it first opened; if so then the quality has plummeted severely. The facility is old, unappealing, and not a place where I am comfortable being naked. The weird and unsettling smells are from both the people and the lack of cleanliness. There is visible wear and tear, dirt in common areas. Many of the people providing services do not speak or understand much English, which is very frustrating when you are trying to ask questions or communicate simple adjustments about being uncomfortable or in pain. There needs to be better training, better maintenance, and probably a change in management for this to be the place people said it was. Just go to massage envy. read more

But instead of being 15 you're about to embark on the zen experience of your life. The orange pajamas are handed to you as you enter and it's a jail I want to live in. You place your earthly belongings into a locker and open the double doors that god only could've made to dip into the "hot" tub, "warm" pool, "cold" pool, dry sauna, and wet sauna. There are all the amenities around to rinse off the damage of this world. Ponce de leon didn't realize that for only $35 you can experience the fountain of youth, although he may have missed this by +/- 500 years. The next stage: you leave behind the worries of the world, put on the orange jumpsuit, and head to the mess hall. It is another oasis. The hot Korean meals keeps the inside feeling youthful and rejuvenates the inner you. There are coed elements to this area where you can relax in hot or cold huts. I fell asleep and when I woke up I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure that this reality was in fact not the dream. I loved geju, I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a cultural and tranquil experience that satisfies maslows hierarchy in one go. read more

Hubby and I decided to go for a relaxing night out instead of a busy night on the town. We enjoyed a nice shower, the hot tubs and a delicious meal. I had beef noodles and he has beef stir fry, we enjoyed the different rooms, salt, gold, crystal and coal were our favorites. Next time we plan to bring bathing suits for the pool. We ended the night with a one bike reflexology foot massage and it was 10/10 everything and more. The only reason I'm not giving the visit a 5/5 stars is it can use some updating. Think the most generic big a bottles of Dollar General green shampoo and conditioner. Bring your own if you have any preference. A: $35 gives you 24 hour access. People sleep there on daycare like mats on the heated floors like they just pick a rando spot on the communal side and throw their mat down and call it a day... ... B. There is a women's side, a men's side, and a common area. Women's side if fully naked and has a locker room, showers, wet sauna, dry sauna, hot tub, warm tub, cold plunge, and infrared sauna C. No shoes (even shower shoes) allowed anywhere. I stopped and got some lotrimin on my way home just to be safe D. The massage was $100 and really good but in a communal room with curtains. You wear these orange prison shorts and top everywhere in the communal side and into the massage room. It's co-ed. You take your top off and lie face down. They drape you with a sheet to start. E. You can get the full body scrub on the women's side. I've don't it at the one in SF and if you want a unique experience, do it! F. They also have a yoni steaming room. They call it a "hip bath". It smells lave vag and herbs! They sit you on this like little kid's potty seat with some herbs under it and wrap a sheet around you. G. There are like 7 communal saunas, but I didn't go in any of them. H. They also have a food cafe I. We went at 11 pm on a Sunday. Not too busy when we got there but very empty by the time we left around 2 am. Massages are not offered 25 hours. I think they stop at midnight, so just be aware of that. We made it, but I would have been bummed if we didn't. I assumed the massages were 24/7. My lack of research. 7/10 overall, definitely a must do at least once in your life experience. read more
